Hey Planeswalkers!
Welcome to this week’s Friday Night Meta update! The goal is to equip you faster with information in a fast evolving game, and to get you the right information to help you make the decisions you need to make! This is intended to be a comprehensive view with a lens from Magic the Gathering Arena with impacts from the MTG gaming scene.
It’s nice to have some movement each and every week as we approach our June Season Close! Definitely some things to keep in mind this week for those tackling the Top 1200 Mythic Qualifier.
I also rearranged the format a bit to get you the general information sooner in the article, and moved some of the other updates towards the end given some feedback I have received. Let me know your thoughts!

BO1: Winona domination in terms of both played and winrate. Sultai Ultimatum had the most growth in terms of deck played for the week.
BO3: Jeskai Mutate fell out of the Top 8 at large, however when we drill into the details a bit more that certainly isn’t the case at mythic. Izzett is coming back down will Sultai Ult is making moves back up. Naya Adventures runs a healthy 60% winrate!
Top Deck: Jeskai Mutate
BO1
Mono White Lifegain has taken back its crown as the #1 win rate deck at the moment, suppressing Mono Red Aggro & Boros Winonta. The top archetype depending on your take remains with those aggro decks however, while mono white remains in the Top 5.
Collectively in the BO1 space as the top decks have consolidated most likely due to players favoring other deck types, the win rates have also gone up. The biggest has been in Mono White Aggro.
BO3
This week Sultai Ultimatum continues to distance itself from the pack while Izzet Dragons continues its fall. Sultai has gained roughly 5% of the played share while Dragons shed equally as much!
The big winner here in my book has been Mono White Aggro. Across the board and into Mythic it is maintaining one of the best win rates right now above 61%, and as high as 63% in Mythic. Naya Adventures has taken a hit in terms of the meta win rate, and fallen off quite a bit.
Aggro Gate Keeping – Mono Black Auras
Mono Black Auras has actually been a fairly consistent deck since Kaldheim, when I first covered it hitting #1. It had continued to pull through, and certainly still a top 8 deck excelling in BO1.
You definitely can change this list up the way you like, and it certainly continues to evolve.
Event Impacts
There’s nothing like a host of Pro Players getting together in the ChannelFireball Pro Monthly Showdown! This month’s event saw Naya Adventures taking things down by Sean Hunter while the Top 8 certainly was a diverse group save for two Sultai Ultimatums.
