Summoners War a Week in Review (11/14/16 to 11/20/16)

I want to try and start a new thing to help enhance my Summoners War gameplay, and allow for further sharing of ideas, as well as strategies, and progression. My plan is to blog weekly, and share with you Summoners War a Week in Review, where by each week I will chat about the previous weeks doings. On top of that I will try to have some sort of focus or theme for the week, however as much as I would like to do that I know even after last week it’s very easy to lose sight of an overall theme. As many a summoner would know, we are constantly bombarded with things that change our direction of Summoners War gameplay. With that said let’s take a look at this week’s Summoners War a Week in Review.
Theme
Last week my plan was to run Giants B10. Previously leading up to last week my focus had been on running Dragons B9. The rationale for my in doing so was to get violent runes, and at the same time my B9 auto clear times are roughly anywhere from one to two minutes faster. The other thing I wanted to do with my Giants B10 focus was track how many runes I got for the week and share that with you.
Giants B10 Rune Outcome
I took note throughout the week of how many Runes I collected in the following categories: Six star Legendary, Six Star, and Five Star Legendary. I did not keep track of how many total runs I did, but I would venture between 30 to 50 runs a day. I was very happy with the results relative to what my previous perception was.
Legendary 6 Star | 2 |
6 Star | 27 |
Legendary 5 Star | 7 |
In total I kept 26 runes. On top of this if we look at the number of runs, and figure we averaged 30 a day making a total of 210 runs for the week. When we look at the odds we are pulling in a keeper rune 13% of the time or roughly every 10 runs in Giants B10. I was even more impressed that I was able to get a legendary six star rune not once, but twice. You should hopefully get one each week then, or one about every hundred runs.
The thing I liked most about focusing on Giants B10 for the week was the epiphany that it’s much easier to progress your monsters than what is perceived. The game has many distractions that take focus away, but when we look at the facts the investment in the runs is worth it and pays off.
The_Stand Guild Wars
This week I made some slight changes to the Guild Lineup. We had been hurting do to players not using all their attacks. The adjustment I made was cutting everyone from this week’s battles unless they were top 10 in contribution for the week before. This adjustment paid off for all the active contributors as we were able to briefly eclipse G2 during the week. We ended up F3 and a record of 7-5 for the week. Most of the losses coming in later in the week.
GamertagMythras PvP
This was one of my better weeks for PvP. I would definitely say I am the set weak defense for the whole week until Sunday kind of a player. With that said I was very happy with my weekly results, which in fact were one of my better ones. I usually shoot to end up over 1200 for the week, but the thing I was most excited about was the ability to attack 142 times throughout the week. I was constantly out of attack attempts.
Chasing Trophy Monsters
One thing I really enjoy is doing summoning sessions. Chasing Trophy Monsters is a series where I do mass summonings usually the qualifier is 50+ Mystical Scrolls. This week was definitely one of the worst summoning session I ever had. You can see for yourself.

Things I also checked off this week were finishing off x40 monster pieces for my inventory of Fire Beast Hunter, Fire Viking, and the Wind Beast Hunter. While I was doing my summoning session I used a double experience item so I could utilize my storage and three star monster fodder. In doing so I was able to six star my Light Epikion Priest Iona! In the World Boss I was able to finish G1 once last week, and reach B plus rating with my main group for the first time.
Summary
It was an action packed week! I learned a lot about the rune drop rates, and accomplished many firsts. Even though the summoning session sucked, I was able to make the best of it six starring Iona. Until next week!
