Dark Cacao Cookie is an Ancient Cookie in Cookie Run: Kingdom, built around the Charge archetype. Charge Cookies sit in the front line, soaking aggro and disrupting enemy backlines. All five Ancients can Awaken, and Awakened Ancients sit in the game's top power bracket alongside Beast and Witch Cookies. Worth chasing once your core Legendary roster is settled. The current Mythras-tested loadout runs Gambit Chocolate x5, with a Tainted Dark Chewy beascuit and a Chocolate tart for Cooldown.
Charge Cookies are your front-line workhorses. They take the first hits, pull aggro off your fragile DPS and healers, and usually carry a crowd-control or self-buff skill that swings the opening exchange. The best Charge Cookies bring a secondary disruption tool. A stun, a damage reflect, a buff strip. That is how they earn their slot beyond just being a wall.

Mode fit ratings are based on the cookie's archetype, not their specific kit. A Ancient Charge that's S-rated for a mode may still need build investment to actually clear top-tier content there.
Charge Cookies pair best with a Healing Cookie behind them (Sugar Swan or Pure Vanilla, not both) and Magic or Ranged DPS in the middle line. Avoid running two Charges unless one is a pure tank and the other a disruptive bruiser. Only one Rally Effect can be active on a team, so Aegis Hollyberry's and Awakened Pure Vanilla's do not stack.

This is a Swift Chocolate cooldown build. Five Chocolates push skill cooldown down, which is everything for cookies whose value lives in their active skill. Debuffers and supports. Sub-stat priority is CD first, then DMG Resist for survivability, then ATK to keep auto-attacks relevant between casts.

Build Tips
Tainted Beascuit: This cookie uses a Tainted Beascuit for the 20% elemental damage bonus. If you don't have the correct Tainted Beascuit yet, use a Legendary Beascuit as a placeholder.
Cooldown Priority: Cooldown is the most valuable substat. Aim for the highest CD rolls possible on your toppings.
Tart Connection: Always connect your Chocolate Tart to the toppings for the 6-piece set bonus substats.
Keep stats in purple range. Reset Beascuits until you hit optimal percentages (aim for 15%).
Ancient Cookies are story-rewarded over time. Awakened forms take significantly longer (6+ months F2P). Older Ancients are essentially free if you have been playing since 2024.
High priority for any team building toward Master+ Arena. Awakened forms sit in the game's top power bracket alongside Beast and Witch Cookies.
Ancient Cookies have no Magic Candy. Their upgrade path is Awakening instead, and all five Ancients (Pure Vanilla, Hollyberry, Dark Cacao, Golden Cheese and White Lily) have an Awakened form.
