Dota 2 patch 7.41f is the latest entry in Valve's patch list as of 8 November 2026. Its timestamp in the dota2.com patch feed is 15 September 2026, and it follows 7.41e (30 July 2026) in the 7.41 line that began on 24 March 2026. This post explains the documented changes in plain English. It sticks to what the official notes say and leaves out tier lists, win rates and opinions on whether a change is good.

What 7.41f is

The notes for 7.41f contain no new heroes, no map changes and no new systems. They are a balance pass: the feed lists 35 heroes, 16 items and one neutral enchantment. Most entries lower a number: damage, lifesteal, gold, mana regeneration or movement speed. A handful raise one. If you only read the headlines, the shape of the patch is "several heroes and a few items get trimmed, and some big items get more expensive."

The biggest hero changes

Shadow Fiend gets a Necromastery rework. Necromastery gives Shadow Fiend bonus damage for every soul he has collected. Before, each soul gave 1.35 damage plus 0.15 per hero level. Now each soul gives 1 damage plus 0.8 per 6 levels. Valve's own note summarises it as a change from a 1.5 to 5.85 range to a 1 to 5 range, so the per-soul value grows more slowly as the game goes on. Shadowraze's bonus damage per soul drops from 3 to 2, and the level 15 talent that reduces armor through Presence of the Dark Lord goes from +2 to +1.5. All three hit the same thing: how much Shadow Fiend gains from souls late in a game.

Bounty Hunter has his gold engine cut. Track's bonus gold for Bounty Hunter himself falls from 130/225/320 to 80/160/240 across the three levels, and the bonus gold for allies drops from 50/90/130 to 40/80/120. His level 10 talent's slow on Shuriken Toss is cut from +0.6s to +0.35s. The top two talents also trade places: the level 20 talent (Track grants shared vision) is replaced with +190 Shuriken Toss damage, and the level 25 talent (+250 Shuriken Toss damage) is replaced with Track granting shared vision. Net effect: the damage talent comes a level earlier and is worth 190 instead of 250.

Treant Protector is changed on several fronts:

  • Base Intelligence goes from 20 to 17.
  • Nature's Guise: the invisibility that lingers after leaving trees drops from 2s to 1s.
  • Leech Seed now costs 35 mana, and its damage-to-healing conversion changes from a flat 20% to 10/15/20/25% by ability level.
  • Living Armor's minimum damage block drops from 20 to 10.
  • The level 10 talent that gave +3 Living Armor heal per second is replaced with +3s of Living Armor duration.

Mirana is nerfed in two places. Sacred Arrow's maximum stun falls slightly at levels 1 to 3 (from 2.6/3.4/4.2/5s to 2.3/3.2/4.1/5s; level 4 is unchanged), and Celestial Quiver's base charge restore time goes from 6s to 7s.

Necrophos loses Sadist's hero kill multiplier (6 down to 4) and some of Ghost Shroud's restoration amplification (from 55/65/75/85% to 45/55/65/75%).

Winter Wyvern has Arctic Burn's cooldown raised from 26/24/22/20s to 29/26/23/20s, and Cold Embrace's per-second max-health heal reduced from 2.25/3/3.75/4.5% to 1.5/2.5/3.5/4.5%. At the top level, both are unchanged.

Earth Spirit gets a talent reshuffle and a cap on Stone Remnant. Remnant charges used to be 7 plus 1 per 4 levels; they are now 7 plus 1 per 5 levels, so the maximum drops from 14 at level 28 to 13 at level 30. Base attack speed also falls from 100 to 95.

Underlord: Pit of Malice is no longer upgraded by Aghanim's Scepter, while Fiend's Gate's Scepter cooldown is reduced from 100/95/90s to 90/85/80s.

Item changes: costs and lifesteal

The item list falls into two groups.

Cost changes. Several expensive items shifted in price, and one cascades into others because it is a component:

ItemChange
Dragon LanceRecipe 450 to 550; total 1900g to 2000g
Hurricane PikeTotal 4450g to 4550g (from the Dragon Lance increase)
Hydra's BreathRecipe 1100 to 1000; total unchanged at 5900g (the Dragon Lance increase offsets it)
DaedalusRecipe 900 to 1000; total 5100g to 5200g
Heart of TarrasqueRecipe 700 to 800; total 5200g to 5300g
Octarine CoreRecipe 200 to 400; total 4900g to 5100g
Heaven's HalberdRecipe 450 to 350; total 3400g to 3300g

Lifesteal and effect nerfs. Satanic's lifesteal bonus falls from +30% to +25% (creep lifesteal from +18% to +15%). Mask of Madness's falls from +24% to +22% (creep lifesteal from +14.4% to +13.2%).

The rest are single-number tweaks:

  • Manta Style: Mirror Image ranged images' damage decreased from 28% to 25%.
  • Mjollnir: Static Charge duration decreased from 15s to 12s.
  • Shiva's Guard: Arctic Blast damage decreased from 260 to 225.
  • Silver Edge: Shadow Walk cooldown increased from 22s to 23s, and its bonus movement speed decreased from 22% to 20%.
  • Infused Raindrops: Mana Regen bonus decreased from +0.8 to +0.6.
  • Essence Distiller: Mana Regen bonus decreased from +1.75 to +1.5.
  • Battle Fury: Chop Tree cooldown decreased from 4s to 3s (a buff).

Smaller hero changes

The remaining hero changes are mostly base stats and single numbers. A selection, all from the official notes:

  • Anti-Mage: Mana Break burns more: Mana Burned as Damage rises from 60% to 65%.
  • Lina: Base Intelligence 30 to 28; Fiery Soul attack speed bonus 8/16/24/32 to 7/14/21/28 and duration 18s to 16s.
  • Spectre: Desolate damage changes from 23 + 2 per level to 23.5 + 1.5 per level, which is the same at level 1 and lower at higher levels.
  • Ursa: Maul's Health As Damage goes from 1.25% to 1.75% (a buff).
  • Lifestealer: Rage cooldown 20/19/18/17s to 21/20/19/18s; the Aghanim's Scepter Infest enemy duration 5s to 4s; level 10 talent movement speed +20 to +15.
  • Invoker: Cold Snap cooldown 18s to 19s, and the Aghanim's Shard Ghost Walk no longer damages non-hero units.
  • Keeper of the Light: Base attack speed 100 to 90; Chakra Magic cooldown reduction 3/4/5/6s to 2.5/3.5/4.5/5.5s; Illuminate heal 70% to 60%.
  • Centaur Warrunner: Base damage down 2, base movement speed 300 to 295, Hitch A Ride cast range 250 to 200.
  • Slardar: Slithereen Crush damage 75/150/225/300 to 60/140/220/300.
  • Mars: Base armor up by 1 (a buff). Bane: base armor down by 1.
  • Marci: Rebound's ally movement speed bonus becomes a flat 25% instead of 15/20/25/30%.
  • Largo: Island Elixir heal rescales from 34/56/78 to 30/55/80.
  • Broodmother: Insatiable Hunger mana cost 80 to 70 (a buff).
  • Chen: Strength gain 2.0 to 2.2 and Zealot respawn time now 60s minus 1s per hero level.

Others in the notes include Batrider, Clockwerk, Disruptor, Ember Spirit, Enigma, Hoodwink, Huskar, Io, Kez, Lone Druid, Undying and Warlock. Read the full notes for the exact numbers.

Neutral items, and what is not in the notes

The neutral section has one change, listed under enchantment changes: the Greedy enchantment's attack damage penalty goes from 30/60 to 35/70.

What the notes do not include is as important. They contain no map changes, no new heroes and no new systems. This post also does not say how any of this plays out. Whether Satanic, Shadow Fiend or Daedalus is stronger or weaker after the patch is a question for match data, and the patch notes only record what changed. If you play Dota 2, open the in-client patch notes or the dota2.com patch page to see the notes next to each hero's current abilities, since numbers in the notes are written relative to the old values.
