Twizzly Gummy Cookie Toppings Build & Guide

Twizzly Gummy is a 2021 Epic whose skill damage became Electricity-element in April 2024, with her Magic Candy following that May. She's a glass-cannon laser turret whose Zap disrupts HP Shields and whose skill carries its own big CRIT DMG boost — which makes her toppings an ATK-vs-Crit decision, not a generic damage pile. Here's the build: toppings, substats, beascuit, Magic Candy, and the niche she actually owns.

Twizzly Gummy launched in October 2021, and two 2024 changes shaped the kit she has now: her skill damage became Electricity-element in April 2024, and her Magic Candy arrived that May. She's a glass-cannon laser turret with one genuinely special trick — her Zap disrupts HP Shields — and because her skill carries its own big Crit-DMG multiplier, her toppings are an ATK-vs-Crit decision rather than a generic damage pile.

This is the build sheet for her: toppings, the ATK-vs-Crit split, substats, beascuit, the Magic Candy that turns her from "fine" into "actually a threat," treasures, team fit, and the common build mistakes. Where there's no verified roll-target, I'll give you the direction instead of a number. Stat values shift with balance patches and differ by skill level, so treat them as the shape of the kit, not gospel.

Who Twizzly Gummy actually is

Twizzly Gummy Cookie leveling her Electrojelly Gun, the Epic Ranged Electricity DPS this build is for.

Get the identity right before you spend a topping. Twizzly Gummy Cookie is Epic rarity, her class is Ranged, and she sits on the Rear line, out of melee range, doing her job from distance. Her element is Electricity, and that tag matters: her Magic Candy gives Electricity-type allies a stacking CRIT% buff (Current Charge) and, from +10, a team Electricity-type ATK buff.

She debuted on 8 October 2021 alongside Mala Sauce Cookie in the Interdimensional Super Mayhem update (v2.2) — the same update that added the Super Mayhem PvP mode. Her current shape came later: on 24 April 2024 (v5.4, Heaven-Splitting Lightning) all her skill damage was changed to the Electricity element, her Magic Candy followed on 8 May 2024, and the 7 May 2025 update (v6.4) added a team-wide CRIT DMG buff to that Magic Candy.

Her job is burst damage with a debuff attached. She's not durable — she's a focused damage spike. Build her to deliver that spike and to abuse the shield-shred, and you'll get value out of her in the content where those things matter.

The Zap is the whole point

Twizzly Gummy's Twizzly Beam skill firing an electric laser, the Crit-damage burst this build is built around.

Her skill, Twizzly Beam, overloads her Electrojelly Gun and fires a powerful electrifying laser. Two things happen when it goes off, and they decide the whole build:

  1. She gets a large boost to her Skill CRIT DMG while the beam is active. This is a Crit-damage multiplier on the skill itself, which is why building her toward crits pays off so hard — you're not just landing crits, you're landing crits that hit dramatically harder than a normal one.
  2. The beam applies Zap — a periodic-damage debuff that temporarily disrupts HP Shields (the wiki's skill data lists it as nullifying them). This is her actual niche. Against enemy comps or bosses that lean on HP Shields to survive, Twizzly's Zap is a counter, not just chip damage.

She also gains some interrupt resistance while she's charging the beam, so she's less likely to get knocked out of her own cast — which matters for a squishy cookie who'd otherwise lose her whole payload to a stagger.

The read is straightforward: she is a Crit-DMG burst cookie with a shield-shredding rider. Build the crits up, get the beam off reliably, and aim her at things that hide behind shields. Everything below serves that.

The standard Twizzly Gummy topping build

The honest answer is that two builds are legitimate, and they're both five-of-a-kind damage sets. Here's the standard:

  • Toppings: 5x Searing Raspberry (ATK) or 5x Juicy Apple Jelly (Crit) — pick one based on the next section
  • Beascuit: an ATK-and-Crit beascuit, ideally one leaning into her Electric element
  • Magic Candy: Blast from the Future, equipped and leveled (this is a real power jump for her — more below)

If you want the simplest possible answer and don't want the full comparison: run 5x Searing Raspberry as your default. It's the safe, all-content ATK build, and it's the easiest set to gear. The Crit-leaning Juicy Apple Jelly build is the spicier option that leans into her skill's Crit-DMG multiplier, and it's the one to consider once you understand the trade — which is the entire point of the next section.

If you're new to how topping sets and substats interact, the toppings guide covers the fundamentals this build assumes.

ATK set vs Crit set: settling the split

A Searing Raspberry (ATK) topping icon — the safe default set for Twizzly Gummy.

Here's how her kit settles it.

5x Searing Raspberry (ATK) is the floor-raiser. It pumps her base damage across the board, it benefits every hit she lands, and it doesn't depend on rolling well on crit substats. It's the safe, consistent, all-content default.

5x Juicy Apple Jelly (Crit) is the ceiling-raiser, and here's why it's tempting on her specifically: her skill grants a big Skill CRIT DMG boost while the beam fires. Crit DMG is wasted if you don't crit, so the more you push Crit chance, the more often that fat Crit-DMG multiplier actually triggers on the beam. The Apple Jelly set leans you into that loop — more crits, and each one amplified by the skill.

The practical call: Searing Raspberry is the better default for most rosters because it's reliable and easy to gear, and a squishy cookie who landed her beam at all is already winning. Go Juicy Apple Jelly (or a 3 Searing Raspberry + 2 Juicy Apple Jelly hybrid) only once you're chasing her damage ceiling and have the substats to support a real crit rate. Don't half-commit — smearing two crit toppings onto an ATK set without the substats to back it isn't a build, it's a compromise that does neither job well. Pick a lane.

Substat priorities without the fake numbers

Substats are where most of a build's quality lives. There's no exact Crit target here — just the priority order, which holds for either topping set:

  1. ATK and CRIT — these are the top two, and which one leads depends on your set. On the Searing Raspberry build, lead ATK and take Crit where you can. On the Juicy Apple Jelly build, weight Crit harder so that skill's Crit-DMG multiplier actually fires. Either way, you want both stacking.
  2. Cooldown — the strong third. Her burst and her shield-shred only come from the beam, so faster cooldown means more beams per fight and more total Zap uptime. Take it on the slots where you didn't land ATK or Crit.
  3. DMG Resist — the survival backup. She is extremely squishy, and a glass cannon that dies before casting deals zero damage. A little DMG Resist on a slot or two is a legitimate concession to keep her alive long enough to fire, especially in Arena.

The practical rule: roll for ATK and Crit first, take Cooldown for uptime, and don't be too proud to sprinkle a little DMG Resist so she survives to cast. And don't reroll forever for a fraction of a percent — get her into a functional range, then go build your next cookie.

Beascuit pick — ATK, Crit, and Electric

The beascuit slot follows the toppings: prioritize ATK and Crit, and where you can, lean into her Electric element so the beascuit scales the damage type her whole kit is built around. A high-quality beascuit is the ceiling, but any beascuit you can stack offensive stats on does the core work.

Stat priority on the beascuit: ATK / Crit first, then Cooldown for beam uptime, then a touch of DMG Resist if survivability is the bottleneck. Don't bring a tanky HP-or-DEF beascuit to a damage dealer whose entire value is the burst — Twizzly's job is the laser, and the beascuit should reinforce it, not soften it.

Magic Candy — Blast from the Future

Twizzly Gummy's Blast from the Future Magic Candy icon, the upgrade that lets her Zap stack.

This is the upgrade that takes Twizzly from "fine" to "actually a problem for the enemy." Her Magic Candy, Blast from the Future, does several things at once: it adds extra laser damage, it pushes her Skill CRIT DMG from +350% to +400%, it gives Electricity-type allies (her included) a stacking Current Charge CRIT% buff, it raises the whole team's CRIT DMG, and — the big one — it lets her Zap stack multiple times instead of being a single application. On the base skill, Zap is one stack. With the Magic Candy, it stacks up to five times, which multiplies the periodic damage, and it lasts 10 seconds instead of 7, so a Zapped target stays unable to receive HP Shields for longer.

That stacking Zap is the difference between Twizzly being a niche shield-counter and being a genuine sustained-damage-plus-shield-shred threat. If you're investing in her at all, the Magic Candy is where her real payoff lives.

The usual honesty about priority order applies, though: Magic Candy is expensive, and a fragile Epic DPS isn't automatically ahead of your main carries and key supports in line for it. Equip and level it to a functional baseline first, then push it higher once you've decided she's earning a permanent slot in the content you run. The Magic Candy priority guide has the framework for where she should sit relative to the rest of your roster.

Treasures and the glass-cannon problem

A Juicy Apple Jelly (Crit) topping icon — the ceiling-chasing alternate set for Twizzly Gummy.

Treasures are where you solve Twizzly's two problems at once: do more damage, and don't die. On the damage side, a damage-amplifying treasure that boosts ATK across the team is welcome on a burst cookie — it scales the beam. On the survival side, a treasure that grants a battle-start shield or a damage-reduction window can be the difference between her getting one beam off and her getting two, which on a cooldown-leaning build is a real damage increase.

Because she's so fragile, lean your treasure choices toward "let her live to cast" rather than pure offense if she's dying before her payload lands — a dead cannon does nothing. The treasures guide covers the current best-in-slot options and how they stack, including the protective ones worth pairing with a glass cannon.

Team comps and where she fits

Twizzly is a specialist, not a staple, and you build the team to keep her alive and aim her at the right target:

  • Rear line, always. She's a Ranged DPS with no durability. Keep her at the back, behind a real front line, where she can fire the beam without eating the opening burst. Anywhere forward and she just dies faster.
  • A front line to hide behind. Her whole problem is survival, so pair her with a genuine tank from the tank tier list who soaks the aggro and buys her the seconds she needs to cast.
  • Electric synergy where you have it. Because her Magic Candy's Current Charge CRIT% buff goes only to Electricity-type allies (and from +10 it adds a team Electricity-type ATK buff), she gets better the more Electricity-type Cookies you field around her — Devsisters' own Cake Tower recommendations pair her with Black Lemonade and Stormbringer, both Electricity-type.
  • Aim her at shields. Her Zap's shield disruption is the reason to slot her over a generic DPS in specific matchups. Against shield-heavy enemy comps in Arena or shield-reliant bosses, she's a deliberate counter pick — and against everything else, she's competing on raw burst with the rest of the DPS tier list.

One first-party signal for where she earns a slot is PvE: Devsisters' own Decadent Choco Cake Tower recommendations list her on five trays (1, 4, 12, 26 and 50), with her Magic Candy shown on tray 50. For the broader picture of who deserves your investment, cross-reference the CRK tier list, and for slotting her into PvE shells, the best PvE teams list is the reference.

Common Twizzly Gummy build mistakes

The ones to avoid:

  1. Treating her as a tanky bruiser. She isn't. She's a glass cannon. Build offense first, concede a little DMG Resist for survival, and protect her with the team — don't try to gear her into durability she'll never have.

  2. Half-committing the topping split. Run a clean 5x Searing Raspberry (ATK) or commit to the Crit-leaning 5x Juicy Apple Jelly with the substats to back it. Two crit toppings stapled to an ATK set without the crit substats to back them is the worst of both. Pick a lane.

  3. Skipping the Magic Candy and wondering why she's weak. Blast from the Future is where her stacking Zap and her real burst live. Base-skill Twizzly is a shadow of geared Twizzly.

  4. Putting her on the front line. She's Rear for a reason. Forward, she dies before the beam fires and contributes nothing.

  5. Slotting her into content where the Zap doesn't matter and expecting tier-list-topping damage. Her edge is the shield-shred. Against non-shield content she's a fine-but-not-special Epic DPS. Use her where her niche pays.

  6. Rerolling substats forever. Get her into a functional ATK/Crit/Cooldown range and move on. The last fraction of a percent isn't worth the topping mileage when you've got a whole roster to gear.

Quick Action Checklist

  • Run 5x Searing Raspberry (ATK) as the safe all-content default
  • Consider 5x Juicy Apple Jelly (Crit) or a 3 Raspberry + 2 Apple Jelly hybrid once you're chasing her damage ceiling — and commit to one lane
  • Prioritize ATK and Crit substats, then Cooldown for beam uptime, then a little DMG Resist so she survives to cast
  • Run an ATK-and-Crit beascuit, ideally one leaning into her Electric element
  • Equip and level Blast from the Future — the Magic Candy is where her stacking Zap and real burst live
  • Pair survival-leaning treasures with offense so the glass cannon lives to fire
  • Keep her on the rear line behind a real tank, never forward
  • Aim her at shield-reliant enemies and bosses — her Zap disrupting HP Shields is her actual niche
  • Lean into Electric synergy where your roster allows it
  • Don't reroll forever; get her functional and go build your next cookie

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the best toppings for Twizzly Gummy Cookie?
Two builds are legitimate. The safe default is 5x Searing Raspberry (ATK), which raises her damage floor across the board and is easy to gear. The ceiling-chasing alternative is 5x Juicy Apple Jelly (Crit), which leans into the large Skill CRIT DMG boost her Twizzly Beam grants — more crits means that multiplier fires more often. A 3 Searing Raspberry + 2 Juicy Apple Jelly hybrid is a middle option. For most rosters, run Searing Raspberry; switch to the Crit set only once you have the substats to support a real crit rate. Substat priority is ATK and Crit first, then Cooldown for beam uptime, then a little DMG Resist so she survives to cast.
What class and rarity is Twizzly Gummy Cookie?
Twizzly Gummy Cookie is an Epic-rarity, Ranged-class cookie positioned on the Rear line, with an Electricity element. She debuted in October 2021 in the Interdimensional Super Mayhem update. Her skill damage has been Electricity-element since April 2024. She's a fragile burst DPS, not a durable bruiser — her value is a Crit-damage laser spike with a shield-shredding debuff attached, so build her for offense and protect her with the team.
What does Twizzly Gummy Cookie's Zap do?
Her skill, Twizzly Beam, fires an electric laser that grants her a large Skill CRIT DMG boost while active and applies Zap — a periodic-damage debuff that disrupts HP Shields. The shield disruption is her real niche, so Twizzly is a deliberate counter to shield-reliant enemy comps in Arena and shield-dependent bosses. Her Magic Candy lets the Zap stack up to five times instead of once, which multiplies its periodic damage, and extends each Zap from 7 to 10 seconds.
Does Twizzly Gummy Cookie need her Magic Candy?
If you're investing in her, yes. Her Magic Candy, Blast from the Future, adds extra laser damage, pushes her Skill CRIT DMG from +350% to +400%, gives Electricity-type allies a stacking CRIT% buff, raises the team's CRIT DMG, and — most importantly — lets her Zap stack up to five times instead of just once. That stacking Zap is the difference between Twizzly being a niche shield-counter and being a genuine sustained-damage threat. That said, a fragile Epic DPS isn't automatically ahead of your main carries in the Magic Candy line, so equip and level it to a functional baseline first, then push it higher once she's earned a permanent slot.
What team should I run with Twizzly Gummy Cookie?
Build around keeping her alive and aiming her at shields. Keep her on the rear line behind a real tank that soaks the opening burst and buys her time to cast. Lean into Electric synergy where you can, since her Magic Candy's Current Charge CRIT% buff goes to Electricity-type allies; Devsisters' own Cake Tower recommendations pair her with Black Lemonade and Stormbringer, both Electricity-type. And slot her deliberately against shield-reliant enemy comps or bosses, where her Zap's shield disruption is a counter rather than just chip damage. Devsisters lists her on five Decadent Choco Cake Tower trays, including tray 50 with her Magic Candy.
