Riftbound Radiance Preview Season: The Full Schedule
Riot quietly opened Radiance preview season on 18 September with a two-broadcast teaser, then published the real schedule: 115 confirmed creators, streamers and press outlets, each assigned a date between 25 September and 10 October to show off pieces of Set 5. Here is the full day-by-day list, plus the two official tools - the Card Gallery and the #RBRadiance hashtag - built to track all of it.
Riftbound's fifth set has already started leaking into the world, just not the way most trading card games run a spoiler season. On 18 September, the LCS and LEC broadcasts carried what Riot itself called "a great opening act" - and then, publicly, nothing else happened for a week. The real preview season is a 23-day rollout that starts properly with Friday's developer panel at RQ Los Angeles and runs through 10 October, and it isn't one announcement post. It's 115 confirmed creators, streamers and press outlets, each handed a specific date to show off a piece of Set 5: Radiance.
That is worth knowing whether or not you are anywhere near Los Angeles. As of this writing on 21 September, Riot's own Card Gallery carries zero cards from Radiance - the 18 September broadcasts were framing, not spoilers - which means the schedule below is the actual map of when Radiance stops being a card count and five named Legends and starts being cards you can read for yourself.
What Radiance preview season actually is
"Preview season" is Riot's own term, and the set details behind it haven't changed since our 2026 set schedule post covered them: 180 cards, 66 Showcase, five of nine Legends named (Seraphine, Ziggs, Jarvan IV, Ekko and Evelynn), Showdown Decks pitting Seraphine against Evelynn, a Vault Bundle, Pre-Rift kits, and one new Ultimate Rare card Riot still hasn't shown. What's new is the how and when of finding out the rest, published in Riot's 18 September Radiance Preview Season article.
One date did shift since this vertical last wrote about it. Riot's August roadmap, published 5 August, said previews would run "through 9 October." The actual day-by-day list Riot posted on 18 September runs a day longer, closing out on 10 October with a single confirmed reveal partner. It's a one-day nudge, not a contradiction worth losing sleep over - but if you bookmarked "9 October" as the last day to check the gallery, move it.
That box art is the other reason the schedule matters: it's the first official look at Jarvan IV and Ziggs alongside Ekko and Seraphine, confirming all four sit on Radiance packaging even though only Seraphine, Ekko and Evelynn have had card-specific art shown publicly so far.
How to catch every reveal without missing one
Riot built two tools for this, and both are worth bookmarking rather than relying on any single creator's feed:
- The Card Gallery (riftbound.leagueoflegends.com/en-us/card-gallery), which Riot says "will get updated every day at 5pm PT with the previous day's reveals." It is the single aggregation point - everything any partner shows eventually lands here, even if you missed the original post.
- The #RBRadiance hashtag. Riot's own framing: "Worried that you might not follow everyone we tap? Follow the hashtag #RBRadiance to see every single drop." With 115 partners spread across YouTube, Twitch, X, Instagram, TikTok, Bilibili and traditional games press, no single platform's algorithm is going to surface all of them for you.
I checked the gallery on 21 September, three days after the LCS/LEC teaser and four days before the Los Angeles panel: it holds no Radiance cards yet. That tracks with Riot's own framing of the 18th as pre-show noise rather than a reveal, and it means anything you've seen described as a "leaked" Radiance card ahead of 25 September should be read skeptically until it shows up in the gallery itself.
The full day-by-day reveal schedule
Riot names 115 partners across 13 confirmed dates. 86 of them post in English or are globally recognizable outlets, including two French-language partners (Riftbound Media and Léo et Brian); the remaining 29 are Chinese-language Bilibili creators and outlets, reflecting the Chinese side of Radiance's simultaneous English, Chinese and French launch on 23 October. Two things stand out reading that table straight. First, 1 October is the single biggest day for mainstream games press - GamesRadar+, IGN, Polygon and VICE all confirmed the same date, which is the closest thing this schedule has to a coordinated "wide reveal" moment outside the Friday panel itself. Second, the volume is front-loaded: 28 through 30 September alone account for 46 of the 115 named partners, more than a third of the entire season, in the three days immediately after the Los Angeles panel opens things up.
What is actually confirmed about Radiance so far
None of the mechanics have changed hands yet - that's still the entire point of a preview season. What Riot has locked in, per its 3 August Products and Sets into 2027 article, is the card count (180, 66 Showcase), the code (RAD), five of nine Legends (Seraphine, Ziggs, Jarvan IV, Ekko, Evelynn), the products (booster packs and displays, Showdown Decks, a Vault Bundle, Pre-Rift kits) and the release date: 23 October 2026, in English, Chinese and French simultaneously - Radiance's first fully global, same-day launch across all three languages.
