Ananas Dragon Cookie Toppings — The ATK-to-Cooldown Loop

Three separate guides on this site have now called Ananas Dragon Cookie out by name as the gap in their rankings — a Dragon-rarity Cookie that August community tier lists put at the top of the Arena pool, with no build guide of her own anywhere on the site. Her skill sheet turns out to hide a specific, checkable mechanic: a passive that converts Topping ATK directly into Cooldown reduction, capped at a threshold one single maxed Topping already clears.

Ananas Dragon Cookie's illustration from Cookie Run: Kingdom, the Dragon-rarity Magic Cookie released July 2, 2026 that this toppings build guide covers.

Ananas Dragon Cookie has been sitting in this site's own Cookie Run: Kingdom coverage for two months as a named blank spot. The tier list, the DPS rankings, and the Ancient Cookies ranking all flag her by name as a Cookie they haven't built a case for yet — one of them calls her out as the headliner of "August community Arena rankings" without a single line explaining why. That gap is the whole reason this guide exists: not a re-rank of an existing list, but the build breakdown none of those three posts had room for.

What her own skill sheet hides is a specific, checkable mechanic worth building the whole guide around: a passive that converts a percentage of her Topping-sourced ATK directly into Cooldown reduction, capped at a threshold that turns out to matter less than it sounds — because a single maxed Topping already clears it.

Wiki-recommended sub-statsCooldown, DMG Resist, DMG Resist Bypass, Earth DMG

That last row is worth reading carefully, because it is doing two jobs at once. Cooldown and DMG Resist are stats a Topping can roll as a bonus effect. DMG Resist Bypass and Earth DMG are not — they only appear as Beascuit Bonus Effects on this game's current stat pools, confirmed against both the Beascuit dough and upgrade costs guide and the wiki's own Beascuits page. So the wiki's single "recommended stats" line is actually telling you what to chase on two different pieces of gear, not four options on one. More on why that split matters in the Beascuit section below.

Her Traits are Tenacious, Brawny and Heat-proof, and per the wiki's Trivia note she is the first Dragon Cookie to release under the game's revised 6-star promotion system — a cosmetic and structural detail, not a gameplay one, but it explains why her promotion-tier art differs from older Dragon Cookies.

What Golden Awakening actually does

Her skill runs in four beats, all confirmed on the wiki's skill box with full Base and Max damage values — unlike some 2026 releases, nothing on her sheet is left blank:

  • Song of Dragontongue opens the cast: an HP Shield worth 35% of the target's Max HP, plus Golden Dragontongue (Debuff Resist +30%, DMG +10%, 30 sec) and two stacks of Earth's Protection (Debuff Resist +7.5%, DEF +5% each, 10 sec) for the team.
  • Ananas Dragon's Roar follows: she gains Dragon's Power (DMG +18%, 20 sec), inflicts Fear on all enemies for 2 seconds — explicitly immune to Purify and unaffected by Debuff Resist, a real CC guarantee rather than a percentage chance — applies Ananas Dragon's Rage (blocks healing, +17.5% DMG taken, 6 sec), and drops a Meteor for 651.1% ATK of Earth damage, ignoring 40% of DMG Resist. Unlike most of her other numbers, the wiki lists this one identically at Base and Max — Skill Powder does not grow it.
  • Skyfall Plunge is the payoff hit: she crashes down for 1,394.0% ATK of Earth damage, Silences for 2 seconds, and applies Skyfall Shockwave — ATK -15%, DMG Dealt -25%, HP Shield -45% on every enemy hit, for 20 seconds. Like the Meteor, this line does not change between Base and Max on the wiki's skill box.
  • Energy of the Earthbread builds passively in the background: 1 stack every 3 seconds, +3 when any ally uses a skill, +8 whenever Overwhelming Dragon's Power activates (see below), capped at 15. At max stacks it triggers Rock Seal on her target — a 5-second Stun, followed by an explosion that is the one line on her sheet that does scale hard with Skill Powder: 838.8% ATK at Base, rising to 2,097.0% ATK at Max, plus true damage equal to 25.5% of the target's Max HP, ignoring 40% of DMG Resist. Ananas Dragon Cookie herself is immune to Rock Seal.

That is: an opening shield-and-buff, an unpurifiable Fear plus a meteor, a huge Silence-and-debuff nuke, and a background stun-clock that keeps ticking even when she is not actively casting. It reads as closer to a Magic-type control mage than a pure burst DPS — the Fear and Silence lines matter as much as the raw damage.

The ATK-to-Cooldown passive — the real math

Buried at the bottom of her skill box, under Ananas Dragon Cookie's Scales, are two lines: a flat defensive buff (Max HP +35%, DMG Resist +41.5%, DMG Dampening 41.0%) and this: "Cooldown -3.0% per 6.0% of ATK gained from Toppings (capped at -30.0%)."

Do the arithmetic and the cap sits at exactly 60% ATK from Toppings — ten increments of 6%, each worth 3% Cooldown, totalling the full -30%. Below that, her Cooldown scales linearly with ATK; above it, extra ATK from Toppings keeps adding damage but stops adding Cooldown.

Here is why that threshold barely matters as a build constraint. Cross-referencing the wiki's own Topping table (Searing Raspberry M's Level 0 main stat: +3% ATK) against crkguide.com's per-upgrade-level table for the same Topping — which matches that Level 0 value exactly, so it is reading the same underlying data — a single Searing Raspberry M Topping taken to +12 contributes 63% ATK on its own, from its main stat alone, before any bonus effect or Equip set bonus. That is already past the 60% threshold. One Topping. Not five.

In other words, the passive is not a reason to hold back on ATK Toppings and it is not a reason to mix in a Cooldown Topping to "help" her Cooldown — any real ATK investment on this Cookie clears the conversion cap almost by accident, and everything past that point is pure damage with the Cooldown side effect already maxed out.

The Searing Raspberry build

Searing Raspberry topping icon from Cookie Run: Kingdom, the M-rarity ATK Topping the wiki recommends for Ananas Dragon Cookie.

SlotPickWhy
Toppings x5Searing Raspberry (ATK)The wiki's own recommended Topping for her, and the stat that both damage lines and the Cooldown passive scale from
Sub-stat priorityATK > Cooldown > DMG ResistATK compounds every damage line and the passive; Cooldown has diminishing value once the 60% conversion threshold is cleared; DMG Resist is a real floor given she stands Middle, not Back
BeascuitZesty (Magic)Type-locked — every Magic Cookie takes Zesty regardless of position
Resonant setDragonwind, Searing Raspberry flavorSame roster as Pitaya Dragon and Wind Archer; raises the ATK bonus-effect floor

The Fandom Toppings page lists Searing Raspberry M's Equip set bonuses as +4% ATK at Equip 2, +8% at Equip 3, +10% at Equip 5, rising to +12% at Equip 6 with a matching Topping Tart. Stack five maxed M Toppings and the guaranteed total, before a single bonus effect rolls, is:

SourceATK
5x Searing Raspberry M at +12, main stat (63% each)315.0%
Equip 5 set bonus+10.0%
Guaranteed before bonus effects325.0%
15 bonus-effect slots (3 per M Topping, at +6, +9, +12), rolling 1%-3% ATK each per the wiki's Bonus Effects tableup to +45.0% more

That guaranteed 325% alone is more than five times the 60% needed to max the Cooldown conversion — which is the whole argument for running five Raspberry rather than splitting the set. A Topping Tart bumps the set bonus from Equip 5 to Equip 6, worth +12% instead of +10%, and is worth picking up once you have the spare Tart material; it does not change which Topping type to run.

The Swift Chocolate hybrid, and why it loses the argument

Community guides (Pocket Gamer, esports.gg, CrkGuide) float a secondary build — four Searing Raspberry plus one or two Swift Chocolate (Cooldown) — as a way to "balance raw damage with skill frequency." Given the math above, that trade is worse on Ananas Dragon than it looks on paper. Her Cooldown from the passive is already capped by any single well-built Raspberry Topping; swapping one Raspberry for a Swift Chocolate buys extra flat Cooldown reduction on top of an already-maxed passive conversion, while giving up a chunk of the ATK that both damage lines and the Meteor/Skyfall Plunge burst scale from.

There is one legitimate case for it: before you have a single Topping built to +12, or while you are still gearing her fresh. Early on, with no Topping past +6 or +9, you have not cleared the 60% threshold yet, and a Swift Chocolate piece genuinely buys faster Golden Awakening uptime while the rest of the set catches up. Past that point — once any one Raspberry is maxed — the hybrid is giving up damage for a stat the passive is already handling.

Dragonwind Resonant Toppings on Ananas Dragon

Dragonwind is the Resonant Topping set that shipped alongside her in v7.6, shared with Pitaya Dragon, Wind Archer and five other Cookies. Like every Resonant set added since v6.8, it comes in all ten standard Topping types, including a Dragonwind Searing Raspberry.

Resonant Toppings draw bonus effects from a six-stat pool — ATK, ATK SPD, CRIT%, Cooldown, DMG Resist, CRIT Resist — with higher floors than a standard Epic Topping's ten-stat pool. On ATK specifically, the floor moves from 1.0%-3.0% to 2.0%-3.0%, per the same Resonant mechanics documented in this site's Resonant Toppings guide. The ceiling does not move — only the floor does, so the worst-case ATK roll on a Dragonwind piece equals roughly the average roll on a standard Epic Raspberry. It is a real, incremental upgrade once you have the pieces, not a build-defining one; the standard Searing Raspberry set already clears every threshold that matters on her kit.

The Zesty Beascuit and the Earth DMG check

Beascuits are locked by Cookie type, not battlefield position, so a Magic Cookie takes the Zesty Beascuit family regardless of where she stands — confirmed against this site's Beascuit tier list, which independently ranks Zesty as an S-tier family to invest dough into first. A Legendary Zesty at Lv.30 grants ATK +30% and HP +35%, with four Bonus Effect slots against three on an Epic and two on a Rare.

This is where her kit gets specific rather than generic. Her own skill text states: "At the start of battle, if Ananas Dragon Cookie's Beascuit has 2 or more Earth-type DMG Up bonus effects, Dragon's Power is enhanced" — upgrading her opening buff from plain Dragon's Power (DMG +18%) to Overwhelming Dragon's Power (DMG +23%, all skill DMG Resist Bypass +35%, plus extra damage against Shielded targets) for the whole fight. That single Beascuit check is a permanent, battle-long upgrade to her core damage buff, not a minor roll.

Per the wiki's Beascuits page, an Elemental Beascuit — one tagged to a specific element — always has its first Bonus Effect locked to an Element DMG buff the moment it drops, so an Earth-tagged Zesty guarantees one of the two slots you need immediately. The rarer Tainted variant (Fire-and-Earth-paired, introduced in Shadow of the Destroyer, obtainable only from Beast Raids and related events) takes it further: its first slot is permanently locked to +20% DMG for a chosen element and cannot be reset. A Tainted Earthen Zesty gives one guaranteed Earth DMG slot outright — you then only need one more Earth DMG roll among the remaining three slots to clear her 2-effect threshold and unlock Overwhelming Dragon's Power for the whole match.

The Energy of the Earthbread stun clock benefits from the same choice twice over: Overwhelming Dragon's Power activating grants +8 stacks toward Rock Seal on top of its damage buff, so hitting the Earth DMG threshold both upgrades her opening buff and accelerates her own stun timer.

Why three of this site's own posts already call her a gap

This is not a re-rank of the tier list or the DPS rankings — both explicitly say a full Ananas Dragon re-rank is still queued, and this guide does not attempt one. What it answers is the question neither of those posts had room to: given that she is confirmed near the top of the Arena conversation, what do you actually build? The Ancient Cookies ranking makes the same point from a different angle — she shares a Dragon-type slot with Pitaya Dragon and is worth comparing directly if you are deciding which Dragon Cookie to invest in first; that comparison, and a full ranked slot for her, is a separate piece from this one.

Quick Action Checklist

  1. Build five Searing Raspberry M Toppings, not a hybrid, and take at least one to +12 — a single maxed piece (63% ATK) already clears the 60% threshold that caps her Cooldown passive at -30%.
  2. Prioritise ATK bonus effects first, then Cooldown, then DMG Resist — Cooldown past the conversion cap has no further payoff from the passive, though it still speeds other cast timers.
  3. Only run a Swift Chocolate hybrid piece while gearing her fresh, before any Topping reaches +12. Once one is maxed, the hybrid is pure downside.
  4. Equip a Zesty Beascuit — every Magic Cookie takes it regardless of position — and chase 2 or more Earth DMG Up Bonus Effects on it specifically. That threshold upgrades Dragon's Power to Overwhelming Dragon's Power for the entire fight and speeds her Rock Seal stun clock.
  5. An Elemental (Earthen) Zesty guarantees one Earth DMG slot on pickup; a Tainted Earthen Zesty from Beast Raids permanently locks one, leaving only one more roll to clear the threshold.
  6. Pick up Dragonwind Resonant Raspberry pieces opportunistically — the ATK bonus-effect floor rises from 1.0%-3.0% to 2.0%-3.0%, a real but incremental gain over a standard build that already clears every threshold on her kit.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the best Toppings for Ananas Dragon Cookie in Cookie Run: Kingdom?
Five Searing Raspberry (ATK) Toppings, the type the Cookie Run: Kingdom wiki itself recommends for her. Five M-rarity Searing Raspberry Toppings taken to +12 give 315% ATK as guaranteed main stats plus a 10% Equip 5 set bonus (12% with a matching Topping Tart at Equip 6), before any bonus effect rolls — and up to 45% more ATK from the 15 available bonus-effect slots at 1%-3% each. A community hybrid build swapping in one or two Swift Chocolate (Cooldown) Toppings is not worth it once any single Raspberry Topping is maxed, because her own passive already converts enough Topping ATK into Cooldown reduction to hit its cap.
What does Ananas Dragon Cookie's Golden Awakening skill do?
It runs in four parts. Song of Dragontongue opens with an HP Shield worth 35% of the target's Max HP plus team-wide Debuff Resist and DMG buffs. Ananas Dragon's Roar then inflicts an unpurifiable, Debuff-Resist-ignoring Fear on all enemies, blocks their healing, and drops a Meteor for 651.1% ATK of Earth damage. Skyfall Plunge follows with a massive hit for 1,394.0% ATK plus a Silence and a stacking ATK/DMG-dealt/Shield-strength debuff — neither of those two lines grows with Skill Powder, per the wiki's matching Base and Max values. In the background, Energy of the Earthbread builds passively and triggers a 5-second Rock Seal stun once it hits 15 stacks, with an explosion that does scale hard with Skill Powder: 838.8% ATK at Base, up to 2,097.0% ATK at Max. Her base Cooldown is 14 seconds.
How does Ananas Dragon Cookie's ATK-to-Cooldown passive actually work?
Her skill box states the formula directly: Cooldown -3.0% for every 6.0% of ATK she has gained from Toppings, capped at -30.0% total. That caps out at exactly 60% ATK from Toppings. Because a single maxed M-rarity Searing Raspberry Topping already provides 63% ATK from its main stat alone (per the Cookie Run: Kingdom wiki and a matching crkguide.com per-level table), one well-built Topping clears the entire threshold — a full five-Topping ATK set overshoots it many times over, meaning the passive rewards straightforward ATK stacking rather than requiring any dedicated Cooldown investment.
What Beascuit does Ananas Dragon Cookie need, and why?
A Zesty Beascuit — every Magic-type Cookie takes Zesty regardless of battlefield position, confirmed by this site's Beascuit tier list, which independently ranks it as an S-tier family. Ananas Dragon Cookie's own skill text adds a specific requirement: if her Beascuit carries 2 or more Earth-type DMG Up Bonus Effects at the start of battle, her Dragon's Power buff upgrades to Overwhelming Dragon's Power (extra DMG, extra DMG Resist Bypass, and bonus damage to Shielded targets) for the entire fight, and also accelerates her Rock Seal stun clock. An Elemental (Earthen) Zesty Beascuit guarantees one Earth DMG slot on pickup; the rarer Tainted Earthen Zesty, obtainable only from Beast Raids and related events, permanently locks one slot to +20% Earth DMG.
When was Ananas Dragon Cookie released in Cookie Run: Kingdom?
July 2, 2026, in the update the Cookie Run: Kingdom wiki lists as v7.6, the Dark-Winged Guardian update. She is a Dragon-rarity, Magic-type Cookie positioned in the Middle row, with the Earth element. She shares the Dragonwind Resonant Topping set with Pitaya Dragon, Wind Archer and several other Cookies from the same release window.
Is Ananas Dragon Cookie good in Arena?
This site's own Cookie Run: Kingdom tier list and DPS rankings both flag her by name as a Cookie that headlines community Arena tier lists as of August 2026, while noting their own full rankings for her are still queued — she released after those lists were last scored. This guide does not attempt a ranked verdict; it covers what to build her with. Mechanically, an unpurifiable team-wide Fear, a Silence on her biggest hit, and a background stun clock give her real Arena utility independent of raw damage output.
