Kingdom Arena Meta Team (May 2026) — The Comp Topping Diamond+
One comp is winning the Kingdom Arena coin flip across every server right now. Here is the exact five-cookie lineup, the slot order, the treasures, and the F2P substitutions that still place Diamond+.
One five-cookie lineup is winning the Kingdom Arena coin flip across every server in May 2026. It is not subtle, it is not flexy, and if you fight Diamond+ you have already seen it 30 times this week. Aegis Hollyberry, Pure Vanilla Awakened, Dark Enchantress, Timekeeper, Sugar Swan. That is the meta team. This guide explains why it works, how to build it, and what to swap if you do not have the full Legendary roster.
This is the comp the v7.4 "Timeline of Fate" patch built. If you have not yet read the Timekeeper Cookie deep dive, do that next — she is the single piece that shifted the entire arena.
The May 2026 Kingdom Arena meta comp at a glance
| Slot | Cookie | Role | Why she is here |
|---|---|---|---|
| Front 1 | Aegis Hollyberry | Tank / rally anchor | Highest survivability frontline + pairs with PVA |
| Front 2 | Pure Vanilla Awakened | Healer + buff rally | Warmth of Compassion combo with Hollyberry |
| Mid 1 | Dark Enchantress | Anchor DPS | S+ damage anchor, melts the enemy mid-row |
| Mid 2 | Timekeeper | Anti-revive nuke | Locks Sealed Hour on enemy revive triggers |
| Rear | Sugar Swan | Healer + revive | Mirror revival, forces enemy Timekeeper into a choice |
That is the lineup. Every part of it is doing two jobs at once, which is what separates a meta comp from "five strong cookies in a row."
Why it is dominant: This comp simultaneously punishes opponents who run revivals (Timekeeper seals them) and opponents who do not (Sugar Swan + PVA out-sustain them). You cannot deck-build around it without giving something else up.
Why this comp works — synergy breakdown
There are three real synergies stacked here, not five. Get these three and you understand the comp:
- Hollyberry + Pure Vanilla rally. "Warmth of Compassion" triggers off the front-row pairing and gives the whole team a sustained ATK + DMG Resist buff for the first ~15 seconds of the fight. That window is the whole game in arena.
- Dark Enchantress + Timekeeper damage stack. DE handles AoE pressure; Timekeeper handles the one cookie DE cannot kill (usually the enemy tank or backline healer). They cover each other's weaknesses without competing for kills.
- Sugar Swan + Timekeeper mirror lock. Your Swan threatens to revive your team, which forces enemy Timekeeper to spend Sealed Hour on your revival instead of nuking DE. That tempo trade is the win condition.
Turn 1 to turn 5 flow
The rough fight timing, which you should learn to feel rather than time exactly:
- Turn 1-2: Hollyberry's rally fires, PVA stacks the buff. Front line eats opening pressure for free.
- Turn 3: Dark Enchantress's main rotation comes off cooldown — first big damage spike.
- Turn 4: Enemy frontline starts dying. This is when you cast Timekeeper, right as the enemy healer is about to revive. Sealed Hour lands.
- Turn 5+: Your Sugar Swan revives one of yours if needed. By now you should be up two cookies on the board and rolling.
If your fight has not snowballed by turn 5, you mis-timed Sealed Hour. Reset and try again.
Per-slot deep dive: Aegis Hollyberry (front)
Build: 5x Solid Almond (DMG Resist) toppings with HP sub-stats. Tank beascuit. Standard tank treasure on her dedicated slot — see the Hollyberry gear page for the exact roll targets.
She is here for two reasons. First, she has the highest effective health pool in front-row Legendaries after her Awakened upgrade in v6.5. Second, her rally trigger with Pure Vanilla is the keystone buff for the whole comp. You cannot replace her with a generic tank — the rally is cookie-specific.
Tank reminder: Hollyberry takes the longest to actually build because Solid Almond toppings have the worst roll rates. Start farming her toppings before you pull anyone else on this list.
Per-slot deep dive: Dark Enchantress (DPS) — pair with Venom Dough
Build: 5x Searing Raspberry, Skill Power-focused beascuit, ATK or Crit topping tart.
DE has been the S+ damage anchor since v7.0 in January and nothing released since has knocked her off. She is the cookie this comp is actually built around — Timekeeper is the support that lets DE finish fights cleanly. Build her first if you only own her and not Timekeeper yet.
Pairing Dark Enchantress with Venom Dough
If you have Venom Dough and need to swap out one mid-row slot for burst (this is the alt build when you face mirror comps), drop Timekeeper temporarily and run:
| Slot | Cookie |
|---|---|
| Mid 1 | Dark Enchantress |
| Mid 2 | Venom Dough |
Venom Dough is the first Super Epic Bomber and his burst window aligns with DE's third skill. The two of them together delete enemy backline faster than the standard comp, but you lose Sealed Hour, so use this only against teams without revivals.
Per-slot deep dive: Timekeeper (anti-revive lock)
Build: 5x Searing Raspberry with CD-heavy sub-stats (18%+ CD across all five), Chewy beascuit with Skill Power, Time Distortion / CD tart.
For the full breakdown on her individual build, see Timekeeper toppings deep dive. The relevant point here is that she is the entire reason this comp exists. Without her, you are running 2024's PVA-Hollyberry-DE comp with no answer to Sugar Swan revivals — which is exactly the comp this one beats.
The key habit to learn: do not cast her at fight start. Wait until after the enemy first death so Sealed Hour catches the revive attempt mid-cast.
Per-slot deep dive: Sugar Swan (healer)
Build: Cooldown toppings (Swift Chocolate) with HP sub-stats, Healer beascuit, HP or CD tart.
Sugar Swan does two jobs:
- Real healing for your team. She is a Legendary Healer, S+ tier, who can revive up to 2 cookies on her ult.
- Decoy threat for the enemy Timekeeper. As soon as the enemy sees Swan in your backline, they have to assume Sealed Hour gets spent on your revive — which means it does not get spent on Dark Enchantress.
That second job is why you do not swap her for a non-Legendary healer at high MMR. Her threat is half her value.
Treasures for this comp
Treasures are a smaller deal than toppings, but the right three free up about 5-8% effective stats:
- Old Pilgrim's Scroll — starting cooldown reduction. Helps Timekeeper land Sealed Hour earlier.
- Squishy Jelly Watch — extra healing on low-HP cookies. Stacks with Sugar Swan + PVA.
- Bookseller's Monocle — first-skill damage boost. Pumps DE's opening burst.
If you have other comp-specific treasures (like one of the new v7.4 Timeline-themed treasures), prioritize anti-revive scaling first, then CD reduction, then raw damage.
Treasure rule of thumb: If a treasure does not directly help Timekeeper land Sealed Hour or DE finish a kill, it is not earning its slot in this comp.
F2P substitutions
Not every account has the full five Legendaries. Here are the meaningful F2P swaps with honest grades:
| Replace | With | Grade | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Aegis Hollyberry | Millennial Tree | A | Frontline support with buffs; loses the PVA rally but gains team-wide healing |
| Sugar Swan | Cream Unicorn (Epic) | B | Healer without revive — loses the decoy threat layer |
| Timekeeper | Silent Salt | A | Beast Legendary ambush, also anti-revival but single-target rather than locking |
| Dark Enchantress | Frost Queen | B+ | Mid-row DPS, no AoE clear, fight goes longer |
| Venom Dough (alt mid) | Pavlova | A | Epic AoE damage, still anchors S+ in PvE; weaker in arena but free |
The "core you cannot really replace" is Dark Enchantress + Timekeeper. If you have those two, the other three slots can flex F2P and you will still place mid-Diamond. If you are missing both, build the PvE alternate comp from our tier list page and farm for them on the next banner rotation.
For broader pull priorities and crystal saving strategy, see the reroll guide.
How to counter this comp
If you are reading this guide because you keep losing to it, three counters actually work in May 2026:
- Hard burst before turn 4. A Venom Dough + DE + Beast Eternal Sugar comp can sometimes one-shot the front line before Timekeeper casts. High variance but real.
- No-revive comp. If your team has zero revivals, Timekeeper's Sealed Hour debuff has nothing to seal — she becomes a regular nuker, which is much more beatable.
- Mirror it. Honestly. If the comp is dominant, the fastest path up the ladder is running it yourself. There is no shame in playing the meta.
The wrong answer is "stack more healers." Every extra revive in your comp is another target for Sealed Hour. Either commit to zero revives or commit to the mirror.
For Guild Battle and other PvE modes where this exact comp does not apply, see the Guild Battle teams guide — those rosters look different.
Quick Action Checklist
- Confirm your Legendary roster — you need at least Dark Enchantress + Timekeeper as the unswappable core
- Build Hollyberry with Solid Almond (start now, it takes the longest)
- Roll 5x Searing Raspberry for both DE and Timekeeper
- Set up Sugar Swan with Swift Chocolate for cooldown stacking
- Slot order matters — keep Timekeeper in the mid row, not the back
- Practice the turn 4 Sealed Hour cast timing in low-stakes matches first
- Equip CD-reduction treasures so your first DE rotation hits earlier
- If F2P, prioritize the reroll guide order
- Cross-check the May 2026 tier list before spending crystals
- Re-evaluate this comp every patch — meta lifespan in CRK is roughly 6-10 weeks
