PGC 2026 Qualification: PGS Points, Seeds and Circuit 4

PGS Circuit 4 starts on 14 October with 240 PGS Points on the table, and it decides more than who reaches PGC 2026 in Istanbul. It decides which stage each PGS Points qualifier starts from. Here is KRAFTON's whole qualification map, the standings after Circuit 3, and the double-qualification rule that sends spare seeds to the regions instead of ninth place.

KRAFTON's official PGS Circuit 4 announcement card: the PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS and 2026 PGS logos above the words 'PGS CIRCUIT 4' on a yellow banner and 'THE FINAL ROAD TO PGC' in white, over a darkened arena stage with a large 2026 PGS backdrop.

Virtus.pro sit 109 PGS Points clear of eighth place with three events left, and KRAFTON's own Circuit 4 announcement still says "nothing has been decided yet." Both are fair. PGS Circuit 4 starts on Wednesday 14 October with 240 points on the table, and it decides more than who goes to the PUBG Global Championship 2026. It decides which stage each PGS Points qualifier starts from, and in this format the starting stage is a big part of the prize.

This is the qualification map as KRAFTON has published it up to 8 October: the 32 seats, how PGS Points are scored, the standings after Circuit 3, the rule for teams that qualify twice, and the format waiting in Istanbul from 1 to 13 December. PGS 10 hasn't been played, so there are no Circuit 4 results here.

The 32 seats, and where each one starts

The structural change for 2026 is in KRAFTON's PGC 2026 announcement: "Unlike previous seasons where all teams began from a shared Group Stage, top-seeded teams will skip earlier stages and enter the tournament at a later point." There are three ways in. Eight teams are invited straight to the Grand Finals, eight start on Survival Stage Day 1, and sixteen start in the Qualifying Stage. KRAFTON's seed allocation graphics put every seat in one of those three places:

RouteGrand FinalsSurvival Stage Day 1Qualifying StageSeats

Thailand (PTS)1st2nd3rd3
Vietnam (PVS)1st2nd3rd3
Rest of APAC (PMS)None1st2nd2
Host country (Türkiye)WildcardNoneNone1
Total881632

The regional ranks are each region's full-season PGC Points standings, which each region runs on its own scale. Rest of APAC is the exception in the table: its winner starts in the Survival Stage, not the Grand Finals, which is why KRAFTON's text counts "six Regional League 1st place teams" among the Grand Finals invites. The wildcard goes to a team representing Türkiye as the host, and KRAFTON hasn't named it yet.

How PGS Points are scored

The PUBG Global Series is the global circuit that feeds the eight PGS seats. KRAFTON's 2026 points and seed roadmap sets it up as four circuits of three events, PGS 1 to PGS 12, with 24 teams at each event. Twelve of them are PUBG Esports Global Partner Teams. The other twelve come from the regions, two each from Korea, Vietnam, the Americas, EMEA, China and Thailand: invited for the first half, then the regions' top PGC Points earners for the second.

Two multipliers stack. Each circuit's third event, the Circuit Final, pays double, and Circuits 3 and 4 pay double what Circuits 1 and 2 did. Only the top 16 finishers score. From KRAFTON's points tables:

FinishPGS 1, 2, 4, 5PGS 3 and 6PGS 7, 8, 10, 11PGS 9 and 12

So winning PGS 12 is worth four times what winning PGS 1 was. The Esports World Cup is the season's first-half milestone, with qualification drawn from first-half PGS Points and regional results, but KRAFTON's roadmap is explicit that "no PGS Points will be awarded at the EWC in 2026."

KRAFTON's official 2026 PGS Points standings graphic: a table ranking 16 teams by Circuit 1, Circuit 2 and Circuit 3 points with a total and a gap-to-8th column, Virtus.pro first on 261, the top seven rows in orange, Petrichor Road's eighth-place row in yellow-green, and Gen.G Esports ninth on 145 at -7.

Three races sit inside that table:

  • First place is a 37-point lead. Virtus.pro lead Made in Thailand by 37. First is the only PGS seat that goes straight to the Grand Finals, and the gap between first and second at PGS 12 alone is 24 points (120 against 96).
  • Second place is a one-point race. Made in Thailand (224) and 17Gaming (223) are fighting over the seat that starts on Survival Stage Day 1 rather than in the Qualifying Stage.
  • The cut-off is a nine-point band. Falcons (154) and Petrichor Road (152) hold seventh and eighth, and Gen.G Esports, who won PGS 9, sit seven points out.

The doubling shows in the columns. Seven of the 16 teams scored more in Circuit 3 alone than in Circuits 1 and 2 combined: Virtus.pro, eArena, Falcons, Gen.G Esports, Geekay Esports, Alpha Gaming and GAM The Expendables. Natus Vincere went the other way: no points in Circuit 3, and 24th of 24 at PGS 9 per Liquipedia's results page, which matches their last-place slot in KRAFTON's snake-seeded PGS 10 groups below.

Circuit 4: three events, 240 points

PGS 11Final StageSaturday 24 to Sunday 25 October
PGS 12Survival StageThursday 29 October
PGS 12Grand FinalsFriday 30 October to Sunday 1 November

PGS 11 has no Group Stage by design. KRAFTON's 2026 PGS rulebook seeds every second event of a circuit from the first: the top 16 at PGS 10 start PGS 11 in the Winners Stage, and the bottom 8 start in its Survival Stage.

PGS 10 and PGS 11 each pay 60 points to the winner. PGS 12 is the Circuit Final and pays 120, so one team can add at most 240 in Circuit 4. PGS 12 also has its own entry rule: "the top eight teams in the Circuit 4 PGS Points standings advance directly to the Grand Finals based on the points accumulated through PGS 10 and PGS 11," and the other 16 play the Survival Stage on 29 October for the remaining places. A bad PGS 10 doesn't just cost points. It can send a team into PGS 12's Survival Stage instead of straight to its Grand Finals.

Double qualifiers: why ninth place gets nothing

Several teams in that field already hold a PGC seat from their region. KRAFTON's 7 October regional wrap, published after the PEC and PAS Finals 2 weekend, lists eight teams under "Qualified to PGC (through PGC Points earned at regional play)". The stage column below comes from the seed allocation table above, and for EMEA it matches the FINALS, SURVIVAL and QUALI tags on KRAFTON's own standings graphic:

TeamRegionRegional finish (PGC Points)Regional seed starts atPGS Points rank

GodlikeAmericas3rd (589)Qualifying StageOutside the top 16
Circle NineAmericas4th (502)Qualifying StageNot in the PGS 10 field

Natus Vincere took EMEA's Survival Stage seat over 09 by two points, 708 to 706.

KRAFTON's official PUBG EMEA Championship PGC Points graphic after Finals 2: three columns of team rows with Spring, Fall and Total points, Virtus.pro first on 831 tagged FINALS, Natus Vincere second on 708 tagged SURVIVAL, 09 on 706 and Twisted Minds on 653 both tagged QUALI, and Acend Club fifth on 385.

A team can't use two seats, so KRAFTON wrote a rule for what happens to the spare one. From the May announcement: "the higher-stage qualification takes precedence. When both qualifications correspond to the same stage, PGS points take priority. Any seed that goes unused due to double qualification is removed and reallocated to the next-in-line team in that region's PGC points standings." The March roadmap says the same thing more bluntly: the next team "in that region's standings will receive the PGC seed."

Follow that through and three things fall out:

  • The spare seat goes to the region, not to ninth place in PGS Points. Neither of KRAFTON's two statements of the rule promotes the ninth-placed PGS team. However many top-eight teams also hold regional seats, ninth in PGS Points earns nothing on the PGS side. Gen.G Esports, seven points out, need the top eight to qualify through PGS Points.
  • Virtus.pro free up an EMEA seat if they stay in the top eight. If they hold first in PGS Points, both seats start at the Grand Finals, PGS takes priority, and the PEC seat passes down. If they slip to anywhere from second to eighth, the PEC Grand Finals seat is the higher stage and the PGS one goes unused. Either way, a top-eight finish for Virtus.pro hands EMEA's standings an extra place.
  • Falcons' PGS finish decides an Americas seat. Their PAS seat starts at the Grand Finals. If they stay in the PGS top eight, a seat passes to the next Americas team. If they finish ninth or lower, that seat doesn't open.

KRAFTON's own example names two teams who could benefit: Virtus.pro and Team Falcons sitting high in PGS Points "means we have a strong chance of seeing Acend Club and Copenhagen Wolves (and others) possibly qualify to PGC 2026." Acend Club are fifth on EMEA's table, with 385. Natus Vincere and Twisted Minds would trigger the same rule if they climbed into the PGS top eight.

How PGC 2026 itself runs

The championship runs from Tuesday 1 to Sunday 13 December in Istanbul, Türkiye, with 32 teams. The PGC 2026 announcement and its calendar graphic lay it out:

PhaseDatesHow it works
Qualifying StageTuesday 1 DecemberThe 16 Qualifying Stage seeds play. The top 8 go to Survival Stage Day 1, the other 8 to Day 2.
Survival Stage, Days 1 to 4Wednesday 2 to Saturday 5 December16 teams a day. The day's top team goes straight to the Grand Finals, four in all.
Survival Stage FinalSunday 6 DecemberThe top 16 by points across Days 1 to 4 play. The top 4 go to the Grand Finals and the rest are eliminated.
Practice dayThursday 10 DecemberMarked as a practice day on KRAFTON's calendar
Grand FinalsFriday 11 to Sunday 13 December16 teams, 15 matches, five a day

KRAFTON's official PGC 2026 Tournament format graphic: the Qualifying Stage sending places 1 to 8 to Survival Stage Day 1 and 9 to 16 to Day 2; Survival Stage Days 1 to 4 each sending first place to the Grand Finals, with Days 1 and 2 passing every other team on to later days and Day 3 passing on 2nd to 11th; a Survival Stage Final where the top 4 of 16 advance; and a Grand Finals row of 16 slots made up of four Survival day winners, the Survival Final top 4, six regional series teams, one PGS team and one wildcard.

Add it up and the stakes of a PGS rank are plain. The 8 Survival Stage Day 1 seeds and the 16 Qualifying Stage teams make 24 teams in the Survival Stage, fighting for 8 Grand Finals places. First in PGS Points skips all of it. Second skips the Qualifying Stage. Third to eighth start on 1 December, two stages away from the Grand Finals.

The money, from KRAFTON's prize table: $1,500,000, plus crowdfunding. The Grand Finals winner takes $500,000, and every team eliminated in the Survival Stage (17th to 32nd) gets $10,000. Another $190,000 in special prizes covers a $10,000 Grand Finals MVP award, $10,000 for each Grand Finals match winner and $30,000 for the Grand Finals team with the most kills. This year's crowdfunding goes only to the Grand Finals top eight, split from 30% down to 4% by final standing.

On the zone clock, KRAFTON's Update 42.1 patch notes list Ranked and Esports under one "Ranked & Esports" blue zone ruleset and cut its total match duration from 32 minutes 50 seconds to 30 minutes 10 seconds. The blue zone timings breakdown has the phase-by-phase table, and it's the same schedule you get in Ranked.

What KRAFTON hasn't settled

These are gaps or conflicts in the KRAFTON announcements cited in this post, as of 10 October:

  • The stage a passed-down seed starts at. The rule says an unused seed goes to "the next-in-line team" in the region. It doesn't say whether that team takes the vacated stage, or whether everyone below moves up a stage. If Virtus.pro's PEC Grand Finals seat passes down, none of those announcements says whether Natus Vincere move up or Acend Club come in at the Grand Finals.
  • What PGS 12 pays for 14th to 16th. The March roadmap table says 4 points. The 8 October graphic says 2, while its own text says PGS 12 doubles PGS 10 and 11 "throughout the standings", which would make it 4. Two points could matter at a nine-point cut-off.
  • Vietnam's seeds. KRAFTON postponed the rest of the PUBG Vietnam Series 2026 Phase 2 "until further notice" in a 24 September notice. Vietnam holds three seeds, one of them a Grand Finals invite, and no new schedule had appeared in pubgesports.com's news feed by 10 October.
  • The other regions' qualifiers. The 7 October list covers EMEA and the Americas only. Korea, China, Thailand and Rest of APAC aren't in it.
  • The host-country team. "Stay tuned for more details," per the 7 October post.
  • Tie-breaks. None of the KRAFTON announcements cited here gives a tie-break for the season-long PGS Points standings. The tie-breakers in the 2026 PGS rulebook rank teams on match points within an event, not on PGS Points across the season.

Quick Action Checklist

  • PGS 10 runs 14 to 18 October, PGS 11 runs 22 to 25 October, and PGS 12 runs 29 October to 1 November
  • The top 8 in final PGS Points qualify: 1st starts at the PGC Grand Finals, 2nd on Survival Stage Day 1, and 3rd to 8th in the Qualifying Stage
  • Circuit 4 pays 60 points for winning PGS 10 or PGS 11 and 120 for winning PGS 12, 240 at most
  • Only the top 16 at each PGS event score points
  • Watch Made in Thailand against 17Gaming for second (one point apart) and Falcons, Petrichor Road and Gen.G Esports at the cut-off
  • Remember the PGS 12 split: the top 8 on Circuit 4 points (PGS 10 plus PGS 11) skip its Survival Stage
  • A team that qualifies twice frees a seat for its region's next team, not for ninth in PGS Points
  • Virtus.pro, Natus Vincere, 09, Twisted Minds, Team Falcons, Team Liquid, Godlike and Circle Nine already hold regional seats
  • PGC 2026 runs 1 to 13 December in Istanbul, with the Grand Finals on 11 to 13 December

Frequently Asked Questions

How do teams qualify for PGC 2026?
PUBG Global Championship 2026 has 32 teams. Eight qualify through the top eight of the season-long PGS Points standings (PGS 1 to PGS 12), 23 through regional PGC Points (Americas 4, China 4, EMEA 4, Korea 3, Thailand 3, Vietnam 3, Rest of APAC 2), and one is a host-country wildcard for Türkiye. A team's finishing position also sets its starting stage at PGC: the Grand Finals, Survival Stage Day 1 or the Qualifying Stage.
How many PGS Points are left in Circuit 4?
PGS Circuit 4 has 240 PGS Points available to a single team, per KRAFTON: 60 for winning PGS 10 (14 to 18 October), 60 for winning PGS 11 (22 to 25 October) and 120 for winning PGS 12, the Circuit Final (29 October to 1 November). Only the top 16 at each event score. After Circuit 3, Virtus.pro led the PGS Points standings with 261 and Petrichor Road held eighth, the last qualifying place, with 152.
Which teams have already qualified for PGC 2026?
As of KRAFTON's 7 October 2026 announcement, eight teams had qualified for PGC 2026 through regional PGC Points. From EMEA: Virtus.pro, Natus Vincere, 09 and Twisted Minds. From the Americas: Team Falcons, Team Liquid, Godlike and Circle Nine. The eight PGS Points seats are decided at PGS 12 (ending 1 November), and KRAFTON's list did not cover Korea, China, Thailand, Vietnam or Rest of APAC.
What happens if a team qualifies for PGC through both PGS Points and its region?
Under KRAFTON's PGC 2026 rules, a team that qualifies twice uses the seat with the higher starting stage. If both start at the same stage, the PGS Points seat takes priority. The unused seat goes to the next team in that team's regional PGC Points standings, not to the ninth-placed team in PGS Points.
When and where is PGC 2026?
PUBG Global Championship 2026 runs from 1 to 13 December 2026 in Istanbul, Türkiye. The Qualifying Stage is on 1 December, the Survival Stage from 2 to 6 December and the Grand Finals from 11 to 13 December, with 15 matches over three days. The prize pool is $1,500,000 plus fan crowdfunding, with $500,000 to the champion.
Do PGS 12 points count double?
Yes. PGS 12 is the Circuit Final of PGS Circuit 4, and KRAFTON doubles its points: 120 for first and 96 for second, against 60 and 48 at PGS 10 and PGS 11. Circuits 3 and 4 also pay double what Circuits 1 and 2 did, so a PGS 12 win is worth four times a PGS 1 win. KRAFTON's documents disagree on 14th to 16th at PGS 12: 4 points in the March roadmap, 2 in the October graphic.
