Genshin Weekly Boss Guide — Which Boss Drops What
Fourteen weekly bosses, three discounted claims a week, and one rule worth checking before you spend: below boss level 70 a Trounce Blossom pays zero talent materials. Here is the full drop map, the level thresholds, and which boss the character you are building actually needs.

Three Claims a Week, and a Cliff in the Drop Table
Here is the rule that decides whether a claim was worth the resin. Claim a Trounce Blossom off a weekly boss at boss level 60, and the talent material column of the reward table reads a dash. Not "sometimes." Not "a small chance." Zero. You spend the 30 Original Resin, you take the Mora and the artifacts, and you get none of the thing you actually came for.
Talent materials start dropping at boss level 70. At 70 you get exactly 1. At 80 you get 1 plus a 55 percent chance of a second. At 90 you get 2 plus a 10 percent chance of a third — the same 30 resin, 110 percent more material.
That single table is the difference between a roster where three talents sit at 6 forever and one where they hit 10. The rest of this guide is the map: all fourteen weekly bosses, what each one drops, which character on your account needs it, and the handful of rules that decide whether the claim was worth the resin.
The Rules Every Weekly Boss Shares
Six things apply to every weekly boss in the game.
- The first three claims of the week cost 30 Original Resin each. Every claim after that costs 60. The discount is a pool of three, not three per boss — spend them where the materials matter.
- One reward per boss per week. You can fight a boss as many times as you like; the Trounce Blossom only pays once.
- Everything resets Monday at 4:00 AM server time — both the per-boss reward and the three half-price opportunities.
- Adventure Rank 40 unlocks Quick Challenge. From that point the Adventurer Handbook lets you challenge Trounce Domains you have not unlocked through story progress, in Single Player Mode. HoYoverse restated the rule in the official Version "Luna VII" update notes when the newest boss shipped.
- Weekly boss materials only level talents past 6. Levels 9 and 10 each consume two of the same material, which is where the shortage actually bites — the full per-character bill is in our talent and ascension material guide.
- Thirteen of the fourteen live in Trounce Domains. Andrius is fought in the open world in Wolvendom, which changes how it behaves in almost every way that matters. More on that below.

One oddity worth knowing before you queue with a friend: Confront Stormterror cannot be played in Co-Op Mode. The wiki attributes it to the fight's fixed camera angle. Every other Trounce Domain is co-op eligible.
All Fourteen Weekly Bosses and Where to Find Them
Fourteen bosses across seven nations. Mondstadt and Sumeru carry three each; Natlan and Nod-Krai have one apiece. Snezhnaya, which opened with Version 7.0 "Everwinter Without Mercy" on 12 August 2026, shipped a Domain of Mastery (Relics of the Fallen Grace), a Domain of Forgery and a Domain of Blessing — but no Trounce Domain. The count is still fourteen.
| Weekly boss | Domain | Region | Unlocked by |
|---|---|---|---|
| Andrius | Wolf of the North Challenge (open world) | Wolvendom, Mondstadt | Razor's Story Quest, Lupus Minor Ch. Act I |
| Stormterror Dvalin | Confront Stormterror | Stormterror's Lair, Mondstadt | Archon Quest Prologue: Act III |
| Ascended King / Sublimated Queen | Unresolved Chess Game | Falcon Coast, Mondstadt | Archon Quest Interlude Ch. Act IV |
| Childe | Enter the Golden House | Mt. Tianheng, Liyue | Archon Quest Ch. I: Act III |
| Azhdaha | Beneath the Dragon-Queller | Nantianmen, Liyue | Zhongli's Story Quest, Historia Antiqua Ch. Act II |
| La Signora | Narukami Island: Tenshukaku | Inazuma City, Inazuma | Archon Quest Ch. II: Act III |
| Magatsu Mitake Narukami no Mikoto | End of the Oneiric Euthymia | Mt. Yougou, Inazuma | Raiden Shogun's Story Quest, Imperatrix Umbrosa Ch. Act II |
| Everlasting Lord of Arcane Wisdom | Joururi Workshop | Chinvat Ravine, Sumeru | Archon Quest Ch. III: Act V |
| Guardian of Apep's Oasis | The Realm of Beginnings | Apep's Resort, Sumeru | Nahida's Story Quest, Sapientia Oromasdis Ch. Act II |
| Exalted Master of the Heretical Path | Binding Field of Universal Nirvana | Chatrakam Cave, Sumeru | Archon Quest Song of the Welkin Moon: Act X |
| All-Devouring Narwhal | Shadow of Another World | Salacia Plain, Fontaine | Archon Quest Ch. IV: Act V |
| The Knave | Scattered Ruins | Mont Esus East, Fontaine | Arlecchino's Story Quest, Ignis Purgatorius Ch. Act I |
| Lord of Eroded Primal Fire | Stone Stele Records | Tezcatepetonco Range, Natlan | Archon Quest Ch. V: Act V |
| Heretic of the False Moon | False Moon Institute | Special Territory Research Institute, Nod-Krai | Archon Quest Song of the Welkin Moon: Act VIII |
Five of those gates are character Story Quests, not Archon Quests — Razor's, Zhongli's, Raiden Shogun's, Nahida's and Arlecchino's. Since Version 5.4, Story Quest acts no longer cost Story Keys, so there is nothing standing between you and them except the Adventure Rank requirement and the time to play them. Those five are the ones a pure Archon Quest playthrough leaves locked.
Difficulty tiers are not uniform either. Confront Stormterror offers six, selectable at Adventure Rank 25/30/35/40/45/50 for recommended party levels 40 through 90. Most domains offer four, starting at AR 35.
Boss Level Decides Whether You Get Anything At All
Every Trounce Domain pays the same table, keyed to the boss's level rather than the domain's name. This is the single most useful thing on this page.
| Boss level | Talent materials | Mora | Character EXP | Companionship EXP | Billet chance | Dream Solvent chance |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 40 | — | 6,375 | 288 | 55 | 12% | 33% |
| 50 | — | 6,675 | 310 | 60 | 12% | 33% |
| 60 | — | 7,100 | 333 | 60 | 12% | 33% |
| 70 | 1 | 7,600 | 355 | 65 | 12% | 33% |
| 80 | 1 + 55% | 8,000 | 378 | 70 | 12% | 33% |
| 90 | 2 + 10% | 8,100 | 400 | 70 | 12% | 33% |
Read the averages: a boss-70 claim returns 1.00 materials, boss-80 returns 1.55, boss-90 returns 2.10. Priced against the 30-resin discount that is 30 resin per material at the bottom rung and roughly 14 at the top. If you can clear the highest tier at all, there is no argument for running a lower one — the billet and solvent odds do not improve with difficulty either, so the lower tiers give up material for nothing.
The corollary matters for newer accounts: if your party cannot survive a level-70 weekly boss, weekly bosses are not yet a talent-material source for you. Spend the resin on talent book domains and artifacts instead, and come back when you can hold the top tier.

Andrius Is the One You Cannot Set a Difficulty For
Andrius sits in the open world in Wolvendom, and open world means it scales to your World Level with no selector. There is no menu to pick a tier from — whatever your world is, that is the fight.
| World Level | Boss level | Talent materials | Mora |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 39 | — | 6,075 |
| 2 | 42 | — | 6,375 |
| 3 | 51 | — | 6,675 |
| 4 | 63 | — | 7,100 |
| 5 | 73 | 1 | 7,600 |
| 6 | 84 | 1 + 55% | 8,000 |
| 7 | 92 | 2 + 10% | 8,100 |
| 8 | 94 | 2 + 40% | 9,000 |
Two consequences. First, at World Level 4 and below Andrius pays no talent materials at all and there is nothing you can do about it but raise your World Level. Second, World Level 8 puts Andrius at boss level 94, paying 2 + 40 percent — an average of 2.4 materials and 9,000 Mora per claim. No Trounce Domain tier matches it; they top out at 2 + 10 percent. On a World Level 8 account, Andrius is the highest-yield claim of the week.
Andrius deals Anemo and Cryo damage and is immune to both, taking only 10 percent reduced damage from every other element and from Physical. Bring anything but a Freeze or Anemo core.
Which Boss Your Character Actually Needs
Each boss drops three exclusive materials, and each material serves a fixed handful of characters. The claim gives you one of the three at random, so the material you need arrives roughly one claim in three.
| Weekly boss | Talent material | Characters who use it |
|---|---|---|
| Andrius | Tail of Boreas | Qiqi, Traveler (Geo), Venti, Xingqiu |

| All-Devouring Narwhal | Lightless Silk String | Charlotte, Chiori, Navia, Ororon |
| All-Devouring Narwhal | Lightless Eye of the Maelstrom | Chevreuse, Sigewinne, Xianyun |

| Heretic of the False Moon | Mask of the Virtuous Doctor | Columbina, Prune |
| Heretic of the False Moon | Madman's Restraint | Sandrone |
| Heretic of the False Moon | Elixir of the Heretic | Alyosha, Linnea |
Two numbers fall out of that table. Confront Stormterror covers 13 characters, the widest reach of any weekly boss, with Dvalin's Sigh alone serving six. The newest domain, Binding Field of Universal Nirvana, covers 2 — Nicole and Odette — and its third material has no user at all yet. With no specific target in mind, Confront Stormterror and Andrius are where a discounted claim reaches the most characters — 13 and 12 respectively.
The Lunar Enablers Sit in Four Domains
If you are chasing the Lunar and Stellar Glimmer reactions, the enabler roster maps onto four bosses, not ten:
- Unresolved Chess Game — Flins, Nefer, Zibai and the Cryo Traveler
- False Moon Institute — Columbina, Linnea and Sandrone
- Stone Stele Records — Ineffa and Lauma
- Binding Field of Universal Nirvana — Odette
Three claims a week, four bosses. If you are building a Lunar team from scratch, that is a rotation problem you should be planning around rather than discovering in the middle of a talent upgrade.
The Traveler Who Skips Weekly Bosses Entirely
Traveler (Pyro) does not use a weekly boss drop. In its place they take The Cornerstone of Stars and Flames, which comes from Natlan Archon Quests, Tribal Chronicles and World Quests — 12 obtainable in total — and unlike other characters, Traveler (Pyro) needs only 1 of it per upgrade at talent levels 9 and 10 instead of 2.
Dream Solvent Fixes the One-in-Three Problem
The random drop is the real tax. You need Gilded Scale for Yelan, you claim Azhdaha, you get a Dragon Lord's Crown. Dream Solvent is the fix: at a Crafting Bench, under Conversion recipes with the "Transfigured Dreams" filter, one Dream Solvent converts one weekly boss material into a different material from the same boss. No Mora cost.

Every Trounce Blossom claim carries a flat 33 percent Dream Solvent chance at every boss level, so three claims a week averages one solvent. It also comes from the No Mere Stone quest, and from reaching level 40 in both Vanarana's Favor and the Fountain of Lucine's Accolades — one-off stashes worth collecting if you have never bothered with those offering trees.
The practical rule: convert only when you are genuinely short, because a solvent spent is a solvent gone and the conversion is one-way in the moment. Turning a spare Molten Moment into an Ashen Heart to finish Arataki Itto is exactly what solvents are for; doing it speculatively costs you the one you needed for Gorou two weeks later. And nothing moves material between bosses — a pile of Dvalin drops will never become a Gilded Scale.
The First-Clear Rewards That Cost No Resin
Clear a weekly boss on its highest difficulty for the first time and you get a one-time reward of one of each of its materials, claimable from the domain entrance or the Adventurer Handbook. No resin.
Across all fourteen bosses that is 42 talent materials sitting there for free. The catch is that the first clear has to be on the top tier: a boss you beat years ago at difficulty II has not paid this out. Open the Adventurer Handbook and check which ones are still outstanding — clearing them costs no resin at all.

Billets, Gems and the Rest of the Payout
The talent material is the reason you are there, but it is not the whole claim.
Billets drop at a flat 12 percent from every weekly boss, and which billet you get is decided by region: Northlander from Mondstadt, Liyue and Inazuma; Midlander from Sumeru and Fontaine; Borderland from Natlan and Nod-Krai. If you are forging a specific weapon, that is a reason to point your discounted claims at a particular nation.
Ascension gems come along for free, and they scale hard with boss level. A boss-90 claim averages 3.83 Slivers, 2.42 Fragments, 0.26 Chunks and 0.025 Gemstones. That last number is the interesting one: top-tier Gemstones only appear at boss level 80 and above at all, and at roughly one every forty claims they are a bonus, not a plan. Farm gems from normal bosses; take these as a rounding error in your favour.
Artifacts flatten out early. From boss level 70 upward every claim averages 4 + 10 percent three-star, 2 + 87 percent four-star and 1 + 23 percent five-star pieces, and those numbers do not improve at 80 or 90. If artifacts are what you want, weekly bosses are a bad place to get them — the artifact domains exist for a reason.
A Weekly Routine That Uses All Three Discounts
- Pick the three bosses before you fight anything. Decide on Monday which three characters you are pushing this week, look up their material in the table above, and spend the discounts there.
- Always run the highest tier you can clear. Boss 90 pays 2.10 materials against boss 70's 1.00 for identical resin.
- Claim all three every week, even when you are not building anyone. A skipped week is gone rather than deferred, and a stockpile costs you nothing but 90 resin — small change against the 1,260 you regenerate in that time at 180 a day, which our resin management guide breaks down.
- Bank your Dream Solvents. Convert only when you are actually short, and only into the material you are short of.
- Audit your first clears once. Forty-two free materials is worth an evening.
- Think hard about the fourth claim. At 60 resin for an average of 2.1 materials, a fourth boss costs double what the first three did for the same drop — the same 60 resin is three artifact domain runs at 20 each.
