Genshin Miliastra Wonderland Guide — What It Actually Pays

Miliastra Wonderland runs on its own currencies, so you can ignore most of it. Three things leak back into Teyvat: a free 5-star you can't take into the endgame, about 200 Primogems this update, and a Battle Pass deal that makes one of its passes free.

Published October 11, 2026·12 min read·By Mythras
Key art for the Starlit Gala, the Version 7.1 Miliastra Wonderland event: a huge, deep-blue witch in a wide-brimmed hat with long flowing hair looms over two small figures in white, a young man and a young woman, who reach up toward a glowing star beside her, against a pastel sky of clouds, a rainbow and colourful planets, with the Genshin Impact × Miliastra Wonderland logo and "Starlit Gala" lettering on the right.

The Mode You Can Mostly Ignore

Miliastra Wonderland is Genshin Impact's user-generated-content mode. Other players build the stages in a PC-only editor called the Miliastra Sandbox, and you play them from a lobby as a customisable avatar called a Manekin. HoYoverse added it in Version Luna II on October 22, 2025.

It also has its own wallet. HoYoverse's Ode FAQ calls Chronal Nexus, the mode's paid currency, "a new type of Top-up Tokens (separate from Genesis Crystals)," and the mode's gacha, the Odes, hands out cosmetics for your Manekin rather than characters or weapons. If you have never opened it, your Intertwined Fates have lost nothing.

Three things do reach back into Teyvat, though: a free 5-star character for your roster, a stream of Primogems tied to the mode's events, and a Battle Pass promotion that makes one of its passes free if you already buy Gnostic Hymn. This guide separates those from everything that only dresses a mannequin. Version 7.1's "Moonlit Season" is live as of October 11, 2026, and the dated rewards below are this season's.

Getting In Takes One Prologue Quest

HoYoverse's Luna II update notes set the unlock at "Knights of Favonius," a quest in the Prologue's Act I, "The Outlander Who Caught the Wind."

  • The door is the quick-access button in the top-right corner. Entering the first time awakens your Manekin; after that, Paimon's Menu works too.
  • Devices: PC, iOS, Android, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S can play. Only PC can run the Sandbox editor.
  • Lobbies: per the wiki, a Public Lobby holds 20 players. From Wonderland Level 3 you can open a Personal Lobby for up to 12, which lasts 3 hours.
  • Stages are server-bound. The wiki notes each Wonderland stage exists only on the server where it was published, so a stage published on another server won't show up for you.
  • Returning players: the Luna II notes added Miliastra quests to the Stellar Reunion returner event, worth 480 Geodes of Replication in total.

The Manekin Is a Free 5-Star With Two Strings Attached

The Wonderland Manekin in its default outfit: a dark-haired young man in a white, knee-length coat with pale-blue circuit-line trim and a blue gem at the collar, over navy trousers and boots, standing against a starry purple background.

Awakening a Manekin also adds it to your Teyvat roster. HoYoverse's notes describe it as a character that "can join your party and accompany you on your journey," and the wiki lists it as a 5-star sword user. Its element mirrors your Traveler's, per the same notes. Change your Traveler's element and the Manekin's changes with it. You get both versions, Manekin and Manekina, as separate characters, but the wiki says they cannot share a team.

4th Ascension Passive, Combat ReadinessWhile off-field and below 30% Energy, regains 2 Energy per second—

Here is the deal: per the wiki, the Manekin needs no character EXP materials, no ascension materials and no Mora. Its talents rise automatically to the highest level each ascension phase allows. Compare that with the material bill for an ordinary character in our talent and ascension material guide.

The two strings:

  1. Ascension waits for Wonderland Level 10. Until then it is stuck at level 20. The wiki's EXP table puts Level 10 at 7,000 total Wonderland EXP. EXP from playing stages caps at 4,000 a week, but the milestone EXP rewards (for match counts, different stages cleared and ranks reached) sit outside that cap. Once you reach Level 10, you can ascend it straight to any phase.
  2. It is barred from the modes that pay. The wiki lists the Spiral Abyss, Imaginarium Theater and Stygian Onslaught as off-limits. It works in the open world and most domains.

Both its Skill conversion and its Burst field end the moment it leaves the field, so it is an on-field unit competing with whoever already holds that job. Level it, because it costs nothing. Don't plan a team around it, because it will never earn you an Abyss star.

What It Pays in Primogems This Version

Three Version 7.1 rewards pay fixed Primogems into your main account for playing. All three are in progress as of October 11.

The Primogem task and the draw sit in Phase I, which ends October 21 (America) or October 22 (Europe, Asia) at 04:00 server time, per the wiki's copy of the event page

That is 170 Primogems in fixed rewards, a little more than the 160 one Intertwined Fate costs. None of it requires a pull:

  • The 60 is the easiest. You don't need to buy the season's outfit. The wiki's page for the current Miliastra Pass shows that logging in to Miliastra Wonderland this pass period grants 2 Random Try-On Capes for each Manekin. Equip one and clear any stage from the Popular list.
  • The 90 closes on 2026/10/22 03:59, 12 days before the Ode. Per the wiki, the two daily objectives (play 1 featured stage, cast 1 vote) pay 200 Festive Fever a day, so 1,800 takes nine days of dailies. Two 300-point phase objectives shorten that to six, so starting today still leaves enough days. The same track pays up to 800 Geodes of Replication, the last 160 at 3,200 Festive Fever.
  • The draw has a floor and an early deadline. The wiki's transcription of HoYoverse's event page puts the Primogem task and the draw tickets in the event's Phase I, which ends October 21 on America servers and October 22 on Europe and Asia servers, at 04:00 server time. The same transcription lists 20-, 60- and 1,600-Primogem prizes at 5.45%, 0.55% and 0.005% per draw, with a pity: seven draws without Primogems make the eighth a guaranteed 20. Its basic tasks pay 3 tickets per login day for five days plus 1 for sharing the event link, and the login task above pays 1 more. That is 17 tickets without inviting anyone, which guarantees at least two more 20-Primogem prizes.

Count those two pity prizes and the floor is 210 Primogems this version. Two smaller notes: HoYoverse's Starlit Gala notice offers "a chance" at Primogems for entering the creator contest with a newly published Wonderland, and redemption codes are tracked separately on our codes page.

The Battle Pass Boon Is the Real Money Tip

HoYoverse's Version 7.1 Boon Promotion panel. After buying any Miliastra Pass tier, Gnostic Hymn costs $4.99 instead of $9.99 and Gnostic Chorus $14.99 instead of $19.99. After buying any Battle Pass tier, Chronicles of the Realms is free instead of $5 and Epic of the Realms costs $9.99 instead of $14.99. A footnote says the Boon is valid once per event period.

The Miliastra Pass is the mode's battle pass. Its free track, Chronicles of the Skies, has 30 levels at 1,000 Chronicle EXP each, and Chronicle EXP from weekly missions caps at 5,000 a week. Its paid tracks, Chronicles of the Realms and Epic of the Realms, mirror Gnostic Hymn and Gnostic Chorus. HoYoverse's Moonlit Season overview prices the cross-promotion:

You already boughtThen this costsNormally
Any Battle Pass tier (Gnostic Hymn or Gnostic Chorus)Chronicles of the Realms: free$5
Any Battle Pass tierEpic of the Realms: $9.99$14.99
Any Miliastra Pass tier (Chronicles or Epic of the Realms)Gnostic Hymn: $4.99$9.99
Any Miliastra Pass tierGnostic Chorus: $14.99$19.99

Run the arithmetic both ways and the order does not matter. Gnostic Hymn plus Chronicles of the Realms comes to $9.99 either way, and Gnostic Chorus plus Epic of the Realms to $29.98. So if you already buy Gnostic Hymn each update, you can claim Chronicles of the Realms for nothing.

The fine print, from the overview and HoYoverse's Ode notice:

  • The Boon works once per pass period, and the Miliastra Pass and Battle Pass share the same start and end dates.
  • This period's Chronicles of the Realms, Epic of the Realms and the upgrade between them can be bought until 2026/11/02 02:59.
  • Chronicles of the Realms unlocks the limited 4-star set "Fireflies of Hope" (at Chronicle Level 20, per the wiki) and 10 Star Tokens on purchase. Each Star Token takes 20% off one Event Ode. If you never pull Odes, the Tokens are worth nothing to you, and the claim still costs nothing.

None of the sources the wiki's item pages list for these currencies starts from Primogems or Genesis Crystals. So the wall runs both ways: the Odes can't eat your Primogems, and your Primogems can't buy an Ode.

Luminous Keystones are a free way into the Event Odes. HoYoverse's Moonlit Season overview says this season's Event Odes take "Arcane Keystones" or "Luminous Keystones." The wiki lists one source for the latter: a permanent event that opens when you awaken your Manekin and runs for 28 days. Its 1,600 Luminous Keystones cover 10 Event Odes.

Prismatic Crystals are the odd one. HoYoverse's overview says Surprise Boxes hold content their creators made, which "may include additional Wonderland content, landscape skins, weapons," for use inside that creator's stages. It also says redeemed boxes "will be proportionally converted into real earnings" for the creators. The "Starlight Voyage: Heart Unbound" event, scheduled for 2026/10/19 10:00 to 2026/11/02 03:59, will hand out 150 time-limited Prismatic Crystals for playing its stages, per the wiki.

Version 7.1 made the weekly missions easier. Each of the three match missions now also accepts playtime: 5 matches or 20 minutes, 10 matches or 40 minutes, 15 matches or 60 minutes. HoYoverse calls the Raiment Collection's rewards "subject to a weekly limit," so start it early rather than binge it at the end.

Odes Versus Wishes

HoYoverse's banner for the Version 7.1 Event Ode "Wonderland Treasures: Moonlight After the Rain": on the left, a Manekin and Manekina with long blue-purple hair in matching lavender-and-gold robes, and on the right two smaller figures in blue, white and black outfits, over a pale, blossom-strewn sky, captioned "New Manekin Cosmetics."

Odes copy the wish system's pity structure, so it is easy to assume they cost the same. Set HoYoverse's published rules side by side (the wish column is covered in full in our wish guide):

Version 7.1 runs four Event Ode banners: Manekin and Manekina versions of "Moonlight After the Rain," built around the 5-star set "Osmanthus in the Moonlight," and of the "Phantom Night Candlelight" rerun. HoYoverse's Event Ode 2 notice confirms they share one pity counter. After Wonderland Level 10 and Rapport Level 3 with a friend, you can also pull as a gift for that friend. Gifted pulls keep a separate pity count for each friend and do not touch your own.

Duplicates work like this:

  • Second copy of a 5-star outfit unlocks its Ascension, an alternate look.
  • Third copy and beyond become a Radiant Shard. While the Ode runs, a Shard buys the other Manekin's version of the outfit. After the version ends, HoYoverse converts each leftover Shard into "Arcane Keystones that equal to 5 Ode attempts."
  • 4-star duplicates become 5 Engraved Shards. Per the wiki, 20 Engraved Shards buy a featured 4-star set in the shop.

The Standard Ode is the free-to-play one, paid for with Geodes. Its rates are 0.6% base and 2.0% with the guarantee for an Elite (4-star) Set Catalog, which is guaranteed within 70 pulls; a 3-star or better item is guaranteed within 5. A catalog is a recipe, not an outfit: per the wiki, crafting the 4-star set also takes 12 Excellent, 4 Exceptional and 1 Elite Lustrous Material.

What a 5-Star Outfit Costs

HoYoverse's Radiant Shard rule and the wiki's conversion rate give the price of one Event Ode. One Shard equals five attempts, and the wiki sets one Shard at 800 Arcane Keystones, so one Event Ode costs 160 Arcane Keystones. That makes the 70-pull guarantee 11,200 Arcane Keystones, and at 1:1 that is 11,200 Chronal Nexus.

The wiki's PC price list tops out at 8,080 Chronal Nexus, bonus included, for $99.99. At that rate, a worst-case 5-star outfit costs about $139, before first-purchase bonuses, Star Tokens and any Luminous Keystones. Version 7.1 added a Celebration Chronal Nexus bonus on the first purchase of each tier.

If you just want a 4-star look, the shop is cheaper than gambling for it. HoYoverse's Ode notice prices this version's featured 4-star shop sets at 720 Chronal Nexus until 2026/11/2 3:59, then 1,200. Those are the shop's own sets (the Moonlit Season overview pictures Twilight Web, Amber Nectar and Rose's Lament), not the Ode's 4-stars. Each is one $14.99 pack at the wiki's 1,090-Nexus tier, with nothing left to chance.

More Genshin coverage lives on the Genshin Impact coverage hub, and the rest of Version 7.1 is in our 7.1 release guide. Everything else we cover is on the Mythras blog.

Quick Action Checklist

  • Clear the Prologue quest "Knights of Favonius," then use the quick-access button to awaken your Manekin.
  • Awakening it starts two new-player events, per the wiki: "A Curious Awakening" (14 days, 800 Geodes) and "In Search of Inspiration" (28 days, 1,600 Geodes and 1,600 Luminous Keystones, enough for 10 Event Odes).
  • Log in to Miliastra Wonderland once and claim the 2 free Try-On Capes per Manekin from this pass period's missions.
  • Equip a Try-On Cape and clear 1 Popular Wonderland stage: 60 Primogems, available until the Ode closes on 2026/11/3 14:59.
  • Do Wonderland Selects' two dailies (1 featured stage, 1 vote) until you reach 1,800 Festive Fever: 90 Primogems, but only until 2026/10/22 03:59.
  • Do the Starlit Gala web event's login task (20 Primogems) and spend your draw tickets before its Phase I ends (October 21 on America servers, October 22 on Europe and Asia); after seven draws without Primogems, the next one pays 20.
  • If you buy Gnostic Hymn, claim Chronicles of the Realms free, once this period, before 2026/11/02 02:59.
  • Reach Wonderland Level 10 (7,000 Wonderland EXP), then ascend the Manekin for free. Use it in the open world, not the Abyss, Theater or Stygian Onslaught, which bar it.
  • Treat the Odes as a cosmetics purchase: 160 Arcane Keystones a pull, 70 for a guaranteed 5-star outfit, none of it payable with Primogems.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Miliastra Wonderland in Genshin Impact?
Miliastra Wonderland is Genshin Impact's user-generated-content mode, added in Version Luna II on October 22, 2025. Players build stages in a PC-only editor called the Miliastra Sandbox, and everyone else plays them from a lobby as a customisable avatar called a Manekin. It has its own currencies, its own battle pass (the Miliastra Pass) and its own gacha (the Odes), which hands out cosmetics rather than characters or weapons.
How do you unlock Miliastra Wonderland?
Complete "Knights of Favonius," a quest in Act I of the Genshin Impact Prologue, "The Outlander Who Caught the Wind." Then enter Miliastra Wonderland through the quick-access button in the top-right corner. Entering the first time awakens your Manekin, and after that you can also enter through Paimon's Menu. It can be played on PC, iOS, Android, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, but the Miliastra Sandbox editor is PC-only.
Can you use the Manekin in the Spiral Abyss?
No. The Wonderland Manekin is a free 5-star sword character whose element matches your Traveler's, and it needs no EXP materials, ascension materials or Mora. Per the Genshin Impact Wiki, though, it cannot be used in the Spiral Abyss, Imaginarium Theater or Stygian Onslaught. It works in the open world and most domains. It can only ascend past level 20 once you reach Miliastra Wonderland Level 10, which takes 7,000 Wonderland EXP.
Does Miliastra Wonderland give Primogems?
Yes, through events. In Genshin Impact Version 7.1, the "Moonlight After the Rain" Event Ode mission pays 60 Primogems for clearing one Popular Wonderland stage while wearing a current-season Set or Try-On Cape. Starlit Gala: Wonderland Selects pays 90 Primogems by October 22, 2026. The Starlit Gala web event pays 20 Primogems plus a lucky draw in its first phase, which ends October 21 or 22, 2026, depending on server. That is 170 Primogems in fixed rewards, and the draw's pity adds at least 40 more for a player who collects its 17 basic tickets.
Can you spend Primogems on Odes in Miliastra Wonderland?
No. Event Odes in Miliastra Wonderland use Arcane Keystones, which come from Chronal Nexus, a paid top-up currency HoYoverse describes as separate from Genesis Crystals, or from Engraved and Radiant Shards earned from duplicate outfits. Event Odes also accept Luminous Keystones, which the Genshin Impact Wiki lists only from a new-player event, "Invitation to Wonderland: In Search of Inspiration," that pays 1,600 of them, enough for 10 Event Odes. The Standard Ode uses Geodes of Replication, which are earned in the mode. None of the sources the Genshin Impact Wiki lists for these currencies starts from Primogems or Genesis Crystals.
Is Chronicles of the Realms free if you buy Gnostic Hymn?
Yes, once per pass period. HoYoverse's Version 7.1 Boon Promotion makes Chronicles of the Realms free (normally $5) and Epic of the Realms $9.99 (normally $14.99) after you buy any Genshin Impact Battle Pass tier. In the other direction, buying a Miliastra Pass tier first drops Gnostic Hymn to $4.99 and Gnostic Chorus to $14.99. Either order totals $9.99 for Gnostic Hymn plus Chronicles of the Realms, or $29.98 for Gnostic Chorus plus Epic of the Realms. This period's passes can be bought until 2026/11/02 02:59.
What is the pity on Event Odes in Genshin Impact?
An Event Ode in Miliastra Wonderland guarantees a Legendary (5-star) outfit within 70 pulls and an Elite (4-star) or better within 10, with a 0.6% base and 2.0% consolidated 5-star rate. Each live Event Ode lists a single 5-star outfit, so there is no 50/50. Pity is shared across all Event Odes, including Event Ode 2. One Event Ode costs 160 Arcane Keystones, so the 70-pull guarantee costs 11,200 Arcane Keystones, or 11,200 Chronal Nexus.
