Naruto Card Game Teaching Sessions: How to Get a Seat

NARUTO CARD GAME does not go on sale until Summer 2027. Bandai has announced no set, no card product and no price for one, so every route the company has published to actually sitting down and playing the thing is a demo table at an event.

Until this month, BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 was the vaguest of those routes: eleven stops, Naruto on the title roster, and nothing else. Across 6, 21 and 28 August that turned into real pages. Seven of the eleven stops now carry a NARUTO CARD GAME event page with a date and a venue. Five of those seven — Jakarta, Manila, Bangkok, Hong Kong and Singapore — add an application window, a lottery-result date and a prize; Orlando and London have the page and nothing else yet.

The seven stops that have a Naruto session

Bandai runs the fest site in three top-level language editions — English, Japanese and Traditional Chinese — plus a Thai venue site for Bangkok. Across all of them, seven of the eleven stops have a venue site live as of 31 August 2026, and every one of those seven lists a NARUTO CARD GAME session: a Teaching Session at Jakarta, Manila, Bangkok, Hong Kong and Singapore, and a Tutorial Session at Orlando and London.

Three things about that table are easy to miss. The Hong Kong page exists only in Traditional Chinese and the Bangkok page only in Thai — there is no English version of either venue site, and the NARUTO CARD GAME site carries the Hong Kong announcement on its Traditional Chinese edition. Orlando and London, the two stops outside Asia, are the ones with the least on them: each Naruto page lists "Tutorial Session" under Main Event and then says details will be updated in the future. No window, no prize, no admission price. And Jakarta's window has already shut — it closed on 24 August 2026, with results due from 10 September.

Five of the seven are a lottery, not a queue

This is the part worth internalising if you were planning to turn up and put your name down. Bandai's pre-registration page for Jakarta says the event "is open only to participants who have been selected through the lottery. Same-day registration or entry will not be available." Manila's page repeats it word for word. Hong Kong's page uses the same structure in Chinese, with a 抽籤結果公布 — lottery results announcement — dated from 15 October 2026, and Bangkok and Singapore follow the same pattern.

Applications go through BANDAI TCG+, Bandai's account app, and each stop has its own entry link. As of 31 August, Manila's is open until 3 September; Hong Kong opens 1 September; Bangkok and Singapore both open 11 September, closing 4 October and 12 October respectively. Jakarta's has closed.

The windows chain rather than run back to back, and they overlap only at the edges: Manila's and Hong Kong's overlap between 1 and 3 September, and Bangkok's and Singapore's open on the same day. Manila is the one with a deadline in front of it right now.

The face photo is a hard prerequisite in Asia

The hard blocker is not the lottery. It is this, from the pre-registration pages for both Jakarta and Manila:

A face photo must be registered in advance to participate in this event. If your profile does not display "Face Photo Verified" during the application period, you will not be able to apply for this event. The verification process may take one week or longer, so please register your face photo well in advance.

So the gate is not the application date — it is the date your TCG+ profile finishes verification, which Bandai itself puts at a week or more. Manila closes on 3 September, so an unverified account starting today will not make that one; Bangkok and Singapore, which do not close until October, are the realistic targets.

Two more clauses from the same pages. Minors cannot register a face photo, but Bandai says they remain eligible and should apply on their own account anyway. And Bandai may check ID at the reception desk against the TCG+ account; participation rights are explicitly non-transferable, which is a resale answer as much as an admin one.

Orlando is different, but not open-door. Its pre-registration page still says the event "will require application in advance to attend" and that same-day visitors will not be able to participate, and it carries the TCG+ account requirement, the ID check and the non-transferable line. What it does not carry is a face-photo requirement or any lottery language. London's outline page goes further in one respect and lists admission as "Pre-Registrationed Tournament Ticket Required" where Orlando's still reads "Coming Soon".

The admission-ticket wording does not line up

The Jakarta and Manila pre-registration pages split applications into two types, "Events for each title" and an admission ticket. Then they add this note:

Please note that admission tickets allow access only to merchandise sales and teaching sessions. Participants with admission tickets will not be able to join any other pre-registration events.

Read literally, that puts teaching sessions inside the plain admission tier. But the Naruto page for each stop still files its Teaching Session under a pre-registered heading and gives it its own TCG+ entry link with its own window and its own results date. Bandai has not reconciled the two statements anywhere I can find on either site. If you want the session, the Naruto page's own link is the route the Naruto page tells you to take.

Two venue pages call the same event two things

Small, but it is the kind of mismatch worth pinning down before you book travel. On the fest's Manila page, the Naruto block is indexed under the heading Pre-Registered Event and then the section itself is headed On-Site Registration Side Event. Bangkok's page does exactly the same thing. The NARUTO CARD GAME site's own Manila news page calls it a Pre-Registered Side Event.

Jakarta, Hong Kong and Singapore use the pre-registered wording in both places. Everything inside the Manila and Bangkok blocks — an application window, a lottery-results date, a TCG+ entry link — describes pre-registration, and a "winner announcement" date is not something an on-site queue produces. I would treat both as pre-registered and screenshot the page, but Bandai has not corrected either label.

Naruto is still not in the door giveaway

Each fest stop hands attendees a commemorative item as they enter the venue, and the lists are published per venue. Jakarta, Bangkok, Hong Kong and Singapore each cover six titles — Battle Spirits, Digimon, One Piece, Union Arena, Dragon Ball Super and Gundam. Manila and Orlando cover five of those, dropping Battle Spirits. London covers four, dropping Battle Spirits and Union Arena. NARUTO CARD GAME is on none of the seven lists — the fest has published exactly six commemorative giveaway cards in total, and none of them is a Naruto card.

That has not changed since the fest was announced, and it puts CP-001 in a different bucket from the other titles' promos: it is a Teaching Session prize at five stops, not a walk-in item at any of them.

The playmat is on sale at five of the seven

There is now one purchasable NARUTO CARD GAME item at the fest. The NARUTO CARD GAME Official Playmat -Arriving in 2027- is listed under SPECIAL PRODUCTS on the Jakarta, Manila, Bangkok, Hong Kong and Singapore product pages, with contents given as "Playmat x 1" and the usual limited-quantity note. Orlando's and London's product pages have a Naruto filter button and nothing behind it.

The fest pages publish no price for it. The figure Bandai has published elsewhere is $35 plus tax, on its New York Comic Con and PAX Aus event pages — different shows in different markets, so do not assume it carries to Jakarta, Manila or Hong Kong.

The prize art on the Asia pages is Japanese

The prize image on the Jakarta, Manila, Bangkok, Hong Kong and Singapore pages is the Japanese printing of CP-001. The card is titled チャクラカード, and its rules line reads チャクラを使用する際、このカードを裏向きにする。 — the Japanese of the English card's "When using Chakra, turn this card face-down."

Everything else matches the English copy Bandai has shown for the North American events: same Itokazu illustration of Naruto and Sasuke mid-clash, same SAMPLE watermark, same NOT FOR SALE line down the right margin. Bandai does not state which language version is distributed at which stop, and all three Asia pages use this one image, so treat the artwork as a placeholder rather than a promise about what lands in your hand.

The four stops with nothing published

The remaining four stops have a date on the fest's front page and no venue site in any language edition, which means no Naruto page, no window and no prize.

The dates firmed up in waves through August. On 6 August the fest's front page still read "October 2026" for Manila, "November 2026" for Hong Kong and "January 2027" for Orlando; all eleven stops except Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Shanghai and Tokyo now carry exact days.

What Bandai still has not said

• Orlando's and London's terms. Admission price, application window, whether the Tutorial Session needs its own entry, and whether it carries a prize at all. Both pages say details are coming.
• Capacity. No stop publishes how many seats a Teaching Session has, how long one runs, or how many run per day.
• What you play with. Nothing published says whether the fest demo decks match the ones Bandai used at Gen Con.
• The other four stops. Whether Naruto appears at Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Shanghai or Tokyo, and in what form.
• Language. Which printing of CP-001 goes out where.

Manila is the clock now: its window shuts on 3 September. Bangkok and Singapore both open on 11 September and run into October, which is the realistic target if you are starting from nothing — because if you do not already have a verified face photo on a BANDAI TCG+ account, that is the job to do first, and Bandai's own estimate of the review is a week or more.
