Naruto Card Game Adds Essen, Paris, Lucca Event Pages

Updated 10 October 2026: Bandai has changed the sign-up terms on all three pages since this post first reported them, while leaving their 4 September date stamp in place. The pages no longer say tutorial seats are signed up for on-site on the day. They are now booked in advance, first come, first served, from Wednesday 14 October: through a Weeztix online shop at 6:00 p.m. CEST for SPIEL Essen and Paris Games Week, and on BANDAI TCG+ at 11:00 a.m. CEST for Lucca Comics & Games. The pages now also print stand locations for Essen and Paris, set a different playmat rule at each stop, and give Lucca a Logo Sticker. Everything below is corrected to the pages as they read on 10 October; our guide to both Naruto TCGs at Paris Games Week and Lucca has the full booking walkthrough.

As of 31 August, three stops on Bandai's own NARUTO CARD GAME roadmap — Spiel Essen, Paris Games Week and Lucca Comics & Games, all clustered in late October and early November — had a date on the roadmap graphic and nothing else. No event page, no venue address, no way to know what showing up would actually get you.

On 4 September, all three went live at once, on one template. Bandai has revised all three since, and as they read today no two are quite the same page. Essen and Paris share a booking system (Weeztix) and a sticker giveaway but word their playmat rules differently. Lucca books through a different system, folds the sticker into the session gift and sells the playmat by time-slot ticket.

Three pages, one day, one gap closed

naruto-cardgame.com/en/news/spielessen-2026.php, .../parisgamesweek-2026.php and .../lucca-2026.php all appeared in the site's news feed dated 4 September 2026, each following the same "NARUTO CARD GAME Event Information" template Bandai has used for New York Comic Con and PAX Aus since 7 August.

As first published, each of the three said: "Registration for the Tutorial Sessions is planned to take place on-site on the day of the event." This post originally led with that line. It no longer holds. All three pages now say "Tutorial Sessions will open for registration on a first-come, first-served basis" on Wednesday 14 October, ahead of the shows, and each adds a warning: "Players may register for a maximum of one event. Any attempts to circumvent this limit will result in exclusion from all demo events." The on-site sentence now lives on Bandai's newest event page instead, for Tabletop.me in Dubai (6–8 November 2026), dated 9 October.

Beyond that, the pages diverge in a way that is worth being precise about, because it changes what you can expect to walk away with.

The basics: dates, venues, booking

All three need entry to the host show — Bandai's pages say so explicitly and link out to each show's official site rather than selling admission themselves. The tutorial sessions are listed as free, and the Weeztix slots for Essen and Paris are priced at zero.

One trap in the Essen and Paris times: Bandai's pages print "06:00 PM CET", but Germany and France stay on summer time until Sunday 25 October, and both Weeztix shops are set to release their slots at 18:00 UTC+2, which is CEST. The Bandai Card Games entry on the official Paris Games Week exhibitor list also gives "06:00 PM CEST". Be ready at 6:00 p.m. on a German or French clock; read literally, "CET" would make you an hour late. Lucca's page prints CEST itself. Its "Registration Page" button is on the page but not yet linked to anything.

Essen and Paris share a template, not a playmat rule

Essen and Paris are still the closest pair. Both book through a Weeztix shop linked from the page, both limit you to one tutorial session for the whole show, and both carry the same four blocks in the same order:

• Tutorial Session — free, booked online from 14 October, demo decks stay on the table.
• Participant Gifts — the CP-001 Chakra Card, for session attendees who are registered to the "NARUTO TCG UPDATES CHANNEL" on BANDAI TCG+ and complete a post-session survey.
• Merchandise — the NARUTO CARD GAME Official Playmat -Arriving in 2027-, $35 plus tax, one per person, limited daily quantities. Both pages say "Only Tutorial Session participants will be eligible to purchase a playmat," and only on the day of their session.
• Giveaways — a Logo Sticker for anyone who follows the official social accounts or registers for the TCG+ channel, no tutorial session required. Both pages link out to Instagram, Facebook, X and a "BANDAI TCG+ Registration" page (tcg-registration.php) for this.

The split is in the playmat wording. Essen's gift block says "All Tutorial Session participants will receive purchase eligibility for a playmat." Paris's says participants "will be eligible to purchase a playmat on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to daily availability." Neither is a guarantee, since both pages also say the playmat is "Available in limited quantities each day". The difference is that only Paris tells you up front that participants buy in arrival order against a daily allocation.

The sticker point still matters at both: the giveaway is not tied to attending the tutorial session. It is a separate, lower-bar action — follow an account or register a channel — sitting next to, not inside, the session-gated CP-001.

Lucca books, gifts and sells differently

Lucca Comics & Games' page has the same Tutorial Session, Participant Gifts and Merchandise blocks, but different terms inside each, and still no Giveaways block:

• Registration is on BANDAI TCG+, not Weeztix, opening at 11:00 a.m. CEST on Wednesday 14 October. The button is there; the link is not, yet.
• The Logo Sticker is a Participant Gift, listed next to CP-001. When this post first ran, Lucca's page had no sticker at all. Now it has one, but behind the session, the TCG+ channel registration and the survey — the same conditions as CP-001 — rather than as the follow-an-account giveaway Essen and Paris run. There is still no tcg-registration.php link and no social-follow offer on the page.
• The playmat is not tied to the tutorial on Lucca's page. The "Only Tutorial Session participants" line Essen and Paris carry is absent. Instead, "Playmat purchase tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, with reservations opening one week before each event day." Each ticket reserves a time slot to buy one playmat on site, with a maximum of one per player across the event. Tickets for Wednesday 28 October open on Wednesday 21 October, Thursday's on Thursday 22 October, and so on through the show. The page does not yet say where those tickets are booked.

So on the terms Bandai has published today, a Lucca tutorial session, plus the TCG+ channel registration and the survey, gets you the CP-001 card and the sticker, and the playmat is a separate booking that the page does not tie to a session.

Lucca Comics & Games 2026 is the event's 60th-anniversary edition — Bandai's own key visual for the stop is stamped "LUCCA60," and coverage of the show's lineup lists a full BANDAI card games pavilion, Naruto included, among the confirmed activities.

Sign-up is booked ahead, not a lottery

It is worth being clear about which registration model this is, because NARUTO CARD GAME runs several depending on the event. Gen Con 2026 used Gen Con's own advance ticketing, which opened weeks ahead of the show. The Asian BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest stops with a Naruto session — Jakarta, Manila, Bangkok, Hong Kong and Singapore, plus Kuala Lumpur (12–13 December) and Taipei (19–20 December), which now list their own Naruto Teaching Sessions — run a pre-registered lottery through the BANDAI TCG+ app, with a face-photo verification requirement. Kuala Lumpur's page is blunt about it: "Same-day registration or entry will not be available." Its application window runs until 25 October, with results from 12 November; Taipei's runs until 3 November, with results from 19 November.

Essen, Paris and Lucca are neither of those. There is no lottery and no application window to win, and the pages no longer offer sign-up on the day either: seats go to whoever books first once registration opens on 14 October, one session per person per show.

They do not match the two shows under way on 10 October either, which the first version of this post lumped them in with:

• New York Comic Con (8–11 October) has no advance booking. Tutorial tickets are handed out first come, first served each morning when the venue opens, at the BANDAI Namco Naruto Booth #3001. The sessions themselves run at a different stand, the BANDAI CARD GAMES Booth #2705, which is also where the playmat retail tickets are handed out.
• PAX Aus (9–11 October) was booked in advance on BANDAI TCG+. Sign-ups opened first come, first served at 11:00 a.m. AEST on Sunday 20 September, through per-session links on organiser TAK Games' page, with one session per person.

Of the five shows in this post, NYCC is the only one whose page hands out seats on the day. Bandai's new Tabletop.me page plans on-site registration for Dubai but gives no further sign-up details yet.

The sticker has been inconsistent since NYCC

Lucca's arrangement is not the only wrinkle in how Bandai has handled the Logo Sticker. Across the five general-convention pages covered here — NYCC and PAX Aus, dated 7 August, plus the three dated 4 September, all as they read on 10 October — Bandai uses four different arrangements:

NYCC and PAX Aus both list the sticker as a Participant Gift and repeat it in a Giveaways block, so it appears twice on each page — but NYCC's Giveaways block offers it only for registering the TCG+ channel, while PAX Aus also accepts a social-media follow. Essen and Paris keep the sticker only in Giveaways, with the social-follow option. Lucca keeps it only in Participant Gifts, behind the session and the survey.

None of that changes what the CP-001 card requires — all five pages tie it to attending the session, registering the TCG+ channel and completing the survey, worded identically each time. It is specifically the sticker, the smaller of the two items, where Bandai's own copy has not settled on one structure across five pages of what is meant to be the same template. The Tabletop.me page lists no gifts at all yet.

What this does and does not tell you

What the three pages establish, as of 10 October:

• Spiel Essen and Paris Games Week (22–25 October 2026) and Lucca Comics & Games (28 October – 1 November 2026) have published venues and confirmed tutorial sessions, closing the gap flagged as unpublished on 31 August. Essen and Paris now print stand locations too.
• All three book tutorial seats in advance, first come, first served, from Wednesday 14 October — 6:00 p.m. CEST on Weeztix for Essen and Paris, 11:00 a.m. CEST on BANDAI TCG+ for Lucca. No lottery, and the pages no longer mention sign-up on the day.
• The CP-001 Chakra Card is confirmed at all three, on the same session-plus-survey terms as New York Comic Con and PAX Aus.
• The Logo Sticker is on offer at all three: as a social-follow or TCG+ giveaway at Essen and Paris, and as a session gift at Lucca.
• The $35 playmat is for tutorial participants only at Essen (every participant gets purchase eligibility) and Paris (first come, against a daily allocation), with limited quantities each day at both, and is sold through time-slot tickets released a week ahead at Lucca.

What it does not:

• Bandai's pages do not say how many seats each session holds. Lucca's TCG+ link is not live yet, so its session times are unpublished too, and Lucca's page does not yet say where its playmat tickets are booked.
• The Essen and Paris pages still print "CET". The Weeztix shops are set to 18:00 CEST, but Bandai has not corrected the label, and either could change before the 14th.
• It says nothing about NARUTO CARD GAME product, pricing or a release date. The $35 playmat remains the only priced item at any of these booths, and Summer 2027 remains the only release language on Bandai's roadmap. Bandai's NYCC page lists a "NARUTO: What's Next?" panel for Saturday 10 October promising "the new roadmap for the future of the NARUTO universe"; anything announced there postdates this update.
