Riftbound at PAX West 2026: Booth, Promo and Schedule

Riot posted its PAX West plan on 28 August, and it splits into two things happening at the same convention under the same logo: a Riftbound-run booth with its own promo card, and a separate Pro-Play Games tournament slate that does not hand that card out. Mixing the two up is the easiest way to leave Seattle without the thing you came for.

What Riot announced

Riftbound is a Featured Exhibitor for PAX West 2026, which runs 4 to 7 September at the Seattle Convention Center. The booth:

• Booth 4221, 2nd floor of the Summit building, Seattle Convention Center, 900 Pine Street, Seattle, WA 98101.
• Runs Demos for new players at the booth all four days.
• Sits inside a wider Riot presence at the show - League of Legends, VALORANT and Teamfight Tactics all have programming across the weekend too.

Riot's own framing: "If you've never played or if you're already a weathered pro, we can't wait to see you!"

The Riven, Shattered promo, and how to actually get it

There is a booth-exclusive promo card, and Riot is specific about exactly one way to earn it: "Attendees who go through the Learn to Play or play in Sealed Events at the Riftbound booth (not in the play area) will be able to receive the Riven Shattered event promo. The promo is not available from Pro-Play Games."

That is two separate floor spaces at PAX West - the Riftbound booth itself, and the "play area" run by Pro-Play Games covered in the next section - and only one of them gives out the card.

The card itself, read directly off Riot's image: Riven, Shattered, a Champion Unit (Riven, Noxus), cost 3 with 3 might, a green Calm-domain icon, numbered VEN 041a/166, P, EN. Her printed ability box, headed "Weaponmaster," reads: "When I attack, choose an enemy unit here. Deal 2 to it for each Equipment attached to me." Flavor text: "A sword mirrors its owner."

Pro-Play Games runs a separate schedule

Pro-Play Games is running Riftbound's tournament-style play at PAX West, and it has its own full schedule - separate from the booth's Learn to Play and Sealed Events. Riot's own status update on it, as of 28 August: "Many of their scheduled events have sold out already, but check in case you want to snag a final seat!"

If the scheduled slots are full, there is a fallback: Pro-Play Games is also running on-demand events for 2v2, 4-player Free-for-All, Sealed and Draft throughout the weekend, so a seat should exist even without a scheduled booking. None of this play - scheduled or on-demand - is where the Riven promo comes from; that stays booth-only, per the line above.

The wider Riot panels

Riftbound shares the weekend with programming for the rest of Riot's lineup. Four sessions are dated and located:

Marc Merrill is a Riot co-founder and its Chief Product Officer; Riot describes his Friday session as stories "from Riot's history up to today." The Sunday Dev Panel is back-to-back: League of Legends Classic first, then Teamfight Tactics and Riftbound.

What's for sale at the booth

Riot lists specific Riftbound product for sale at PAX West:

Riot has not published prices for the Showdown Decks, Vaults, playmats or sleeves. Secret Garden is not a PAX-exclusive

Secret Garden is the one priced item Riot names: $70. Riot's own description: "Secret Garden is an event exclusive product (and will be at additional events) featuring alternate art Unleashed cards."

Two things worth separating there. It is "event exclusive" - not sold through normal retail - but Riot's own parenthetical says it is not a one-weekend PAX West item; it turns up at other events too. What's actually in the box is not itemized beyond "alternate art Unleashed cards" - Riot's product photo shows boosters, a card fan and two illustrated postcards, but no printed checklist.
