Mogra Cookie Toppings Build — The 30% Cooldown Line

Mogra Cookie's Storyteller's Wisdom sets its threshold at 30% Cooldown from Toppings, which is exactly the ceiling of five maxed Swift Chocolates with no Topping Tart. Here is the arithmetic, Devsisters' own roll odds turned into the chance a set gets there, and the build that follows from it.

Mogra Cookie's official illustration from Cookie Run: Kingdom: a dark-skinned Cookie with long flowing white hair and a white flower ornament, wearing a green dress and cape and holding a staff wrapped in white blossoms.

Mogra Cookie's skill box sets a build target right at the ceiling of five Swift Chocolate Toppings. Storyteller's Wisdom pays her three extra Story Records on every basic-attack heal, but only once her Cooldown reduced by Toppings reaches 30%. Five Swift Chocolate M Toppings at +12 give 15%. The five-piece set bonus adds 5%. Bonus effects can add at most one Cooldown line per Topping, and Devsisters' odds table puts an Epic Topping's best Cooldown roll in a "1.90% – less than 2.00%" bracket. So 30% is that build's ceiling, and even five top-of-range Cooldown lines finish a hair under it.

So the real build question for Mogra isn't which Topping. It's the Topping Tart, and how many Cooldown lines you're likely to collect. This guide does that arithmetic with Devsisters' own published roll odds, then builds the rest of her kit around it.

Her skill numbers come from cookierun.wiki's skill box, the only source we found that prints them. The Fandom wiki's box for her is still blank, and Devsisters' September 23 notice describes the kit without numbers. Topping and Tart odds come from Devsisters' support pages.

She arrived alongside Rajapendra Cookie of Mortality in the update our v7.9 update guide covers. That guide describes her kit in words, the way Devsisters' notice does. cookierun.wiki's skill box carries the numbers, which is what makes a build possible. As of this writing, cookierun.wiki's Gacha page lists her as the Featured Cookie banner, with its countdown ending October 21 at 6:00 GMT+9.

What Storytelling does, in numbers

The Storytelling skill icon for Mogra Cookie: an unrolled cream-coloured scroll with geometric markings, framed by green leaves and white blossoms.

Devsisters' notice gives the shape of the skill. She heals with basic attacks and periodically gains Story Records. Her skill opens a scroll that heals all allies over time, shields them and grants DMG Resist, with a bigger DMG Resist buff for Burning Spice Cookie. Then it spends every Story Record to Stun enemies and spread the Story to allies. The numbers, from cookierun.wiki:

LineBase skill levelMax skill level
Story Records+1 per basic-attack heal, +2 every 5.0 sec; stacks to x10Same
Scroll healAll allies every 0.5 sec for 5.0 sec; 27.0% of ATK per hit67.6% of ATK per hit
HP Shield35.0% of the target's Max HP for 15.0 secSame
DMG Resist+20.0% for 15.0 secSame
DMG Resist (Burning Spice)+30.0% for 15.0 secSame
Stun2.5 secSame
Storytelling (spread to allies)DMG Resist +20.0% plus 1.5% per stack consumed; CRIT% +20.0% plus 2.5% per stack consumed; 15.0 secSame
At max stacksAll-type CRIT DMG +17.5% for 15.0 secSame
Storyteller's WisdomIf Cooldown reduced by Toppings is 30.0% or higher, +3 Story Records per basic-attack healSame

Two things fall out of that table.

Her ATK feeds one line. Of those nine lines, the scroll heal is the only one that reads her ATK. The shield reads the target's Max HP, and the buffs, Stun and Storytelling values are flat. The heal is also the only line that changes between Base and Max, so skill levels grow the scroll heal and nothing else on the box.

The rest is paid per cast. Shields, both DMG Resist buffs, the Stun and the Storytelling buff all arrive when she casts. Cooldown is how you get more of all of them, which is why it heads this build's priorities.

Story Records and Storyteller's Wisdom

Storytelling's payoff scales with how many Story Records she spends:

Story Records consumedStorytelling DMG ResistStorytelling CRIT%All-type CRIT DMG

4+26.0%+30.0%none
6+29.0%+35.0%none
10 (max)+35.0%+45.0%+17.5%

Here is the catch. The timer pays 2 stacks every 5 seconds, and a 13-second cooldown spans only two or three of those ticks, so on her base cooldown the timer alone banks somewhere around 4 to 6 stacks between casts (the skill box doesn't say whether cast time adds to the gap). Every point of Cooldown you add shortens that window further. Basic-attack heals have to fill the rest, and Storyteller's Wisdom turns each one from 1 stack into 4:

Timer stacks banked when she castsBasic-attack heals to reach x10, below 30%At 30% or more (Wisdom)
0103
282
462
641

The skill box doesn't say how often she basic-attacks, so we can't turn that into seconds. But the gap is clear: below the threshold she needs up to ten basic-attack heals between casts to hit max stacks, and above it she needs one to three. Devsisters' notice also says her basic-attack healing "is unaffected by ATK SPD changes." Read literally, ATK SPD isn't a route to more stacks. Cooldown from Toppings is.

The in-game text calls the threshold "Cooldown Speed increased by Toppings". cookierun.wiki flags that wording as wrong and reads it as Cooldown reduction, which is how the rest of this guide treats it.

Can Toppings reach 30% Cooldown?

Swift Chocolate M Topping icon from Cookie Run: Kingdom: three chocolate chips on a purple diamond-shaped base, the Epic-rarity Cooldown Topping.

Swift Chocolate is the Cooldown Topping. cookierun.wiki's Toppings page gives the M rarity 1.8% at +0, plus 0.1% per upgrade, so 3.0% at +12. Its set bonus is 2% at two pieces, 4% at three, 5% at five and 6% at six, the sixth piece being a matching Topping Tart.

Devsisters' bonus-effect page sets the rest. An Epic Topping gets a bonus effect at +6, +9 and +12, and each one is a different stat, so a Topping carries at most one Cooldown line. On a regular Epic Topping that line rolls 1.0% to 2.0%; on a Resonant Topping, 1.5% to 2.0%. Both ranges end in a "1.90% – less than 2.00%" bracket in Devsisters' table, so by that table a Cooldown line stays just under 2.0%.

What decides whether 30% is reachable is what the game counts as "reduced by Toppings". Neither the skill box nor any Devsisters notice we found says whether the set bonus or a Tart counts. Here is each reading:

What counts toward WisdomFive Swift Chocolate M at +12, before bonus linesBest case: five top-of-range Cooldown linesReaches 30%?
Main stats and bonus effects only15.0%Just under 25.0%No
Plus the Equip 5 set bonus (+5%)20.0%Just under 30.0%No, a hair short even with five top rolls
Plus a Swift Chocolate M Tart (3.0–5.0%) and Equip 6 (+6%)24.0–26.0%Just under 34.0–36.0%Yes, with 4.0–6.0 points of bonus lines

Read down the right-hand column. Without a Tart, even five Toppings that each rolled Cooldown at the top of its range land just under 30%. With a matching M Tart, it takes 4 to 6 points of bonus lines, which usually means three or four Cooldown lines. If only main stats and bonus lines count, no five-Topping build reaches 30% at all, so nothing you equip changes the answer. If the set bonus and the Tart both count, the Tart is what makes the threshold reachable at all.

The Tart's roll is fixed when it's made. Devsisters' Topping Tarts rate page gives an Epic Swift Chocolate Tart 3.0% to 5.0% Cooldown, in 21 equally likely steps. It gives each of the ten Tart types a 10% chance per craft, so a Swift Chocolate one shows up one craft in ten. cookierun.wiki's Trials of the Nether Realm reward table also lists a Legendary Swift Chocolate Tart as Hard Mode's Zone 8 clear reward. Per the wiki, a Legendary Tart has the same main-stat values as an Epic one plus a bonus effect. Our Topping Tarts guide and Trials of the Nether Realm guide cover the crafting and the route.

The odds a Swift Chocolate set gets there

The M-rarity Swift Chocolate Topping Tart icon from Cookie Run: Kingdom: a star-shaped tart shell over a frame of purple gems and cream filigree.

Devsisters publishes how likely each bonus effect is. On a regular Epic Topping, all ten effects are 10% each. On a Resonant Topping the pool shrinks to six, at 16.66% each, and Cooldown is one of the six. The three bonus effects on a Topping are always different and equally weighted. So a +12 Swift Chocolate carries a Cooldown line 3 times in 10 if it's a regular Epic, and half the time if it's Resonant. Within its range, every value is equally likely.

From there it's arithmetic. Assuming both the set bonus and the Tart count, this is the chance that a fresh set of five +12 Swift Chocolates, taken as they come, clears 30% next to a given Tart:

Swift Chocolate M Tart rollToppings before bonus linesGap to 30%Regular Epic setResonant set (Cycle-Burning or Pride-Filled)
3.0%24.0%6.0 points1.7%18.8%
4.0%25.0%5.0 points5.2%44.8%
5.0%26.0%4.0 points14.1%50.0%
Any roll, averaged——6.4%38.1%

A regular set hits the threshold about one time in sixteen. A Resonant set does it more than one time in three, and half the time with a top Tart. The Resonant gap comes from both halves of Devsisters' tables: more Cooldown lines (2.5 per set on average against 1.5) and a higher floor on each one (1.5% against 1.0%).

How many Cooldown lines you need

You don't have to keep the first five Toppings you level. Bonus effects arrive as you upgrade, so the practical route is to keep taking fresh Swift Chocolates to +12 and keep the ones that rolled Cooldown. So the more useful question is how many Cooldown lines guarantee 30%, whatever values they roll:

Tart rollGapResonant Cooldown lines that guarantee itRegular Cooldown lines that guarantee it
4.5% to 5.0%4.0 to 4.5 points35 (4 with a 5.0% Tart)
4.0% to 4.4%4.6 to 5.0 points45
3.0% to 3.9%5.1 to 6.0 points4No guarantee; five lines must average 1.02% to 1.2%

Then the cost of collecting them. At a 50% hit rate, four Resonant Cooldown lines take about 8 Resonant Swift Chocolates taken to +12, on average. At 30%, five regular lines take about 17 regular ones. cookierun.wiki's upgrade table lists 87 Topping Pieces and 61,600 Coins for the twelve steps from +0 to +12, at success rates that fall to 25% for the last step. That's why the Resonant versions matter more on Mogra than their higher floor alone suggests.

Two notes on the bonus-effect order. Nothing she wants is missing from the Resonant pool, which holds ATK, ATK SPD, CRIT%, Cooldown, DMG Resist and CRIT Resist. And Fandom's recommended stats include CRIT%, but none of the nine lines on her cookierun.wiki skill box reads her own CRIT%. Storytelling grants allies CRIT%; it doesn't use hers. Take a CRIT% line if that's what rolled, but don't chase it on her.

If your Tart is Legendary, its bonus effect is extra on top of the build. Increased Healing Given & Received, which starts at 3%, is the one of the eleven Legendary Tart effects that names healing. cookierun.wiki's upgrade tables for the effects are only partly filled in, so we can't tell you what it's worth at +12. Our Topping Tarts guide covers changing and upgrading the effect.

The Sweet Beascuit slot

The Legendary Sweet Beascuit icon from Cookie Run: Kingdom: a gold winged frame set with a silver cross-shaped gem, the Beascuit type Healing Cookies equip.

Beascuits are locked by Cookie type, so Mogra takes the Sweet Beascuit. Per cookierun.wiki, a Legendary Beascuit at Lv.30 gives ATK +30% and HP +35%, with four bonus-effect slots, and each bonus effect has a 9.091% chance to appear. The Legendary ranges that matter for her:

Bonus effectLegendary rangeWhat it does for Mogra
Cooldown2% – 6%Shortens her skill, but by the skill box's wording it shouldn't count toward the 30% Wisdom check
ATK3% – 7.5%Grows her scroll heal
DMG Resist5% – 10%Survival
HP3% – 15%Survival

Cooldown still earns its place here even though it misses the Wisdom check. Cooldown from Toppings, Beascuits and Treasures all shortens her skill, up to the game's 60% Cooldown Reduction cap listed on cookierun.wiki's Cooldown page. Our stat caps guide works through that cap.

Check the attunement before you invest. Every slot past the first is attuned to a random Cookie type, and an effect in a slot attuned to another type doesn't apply. Our Beascuit Dough guide covers what resets and attunement cost.

Who she shares a team with

Keep her as the team's only Healing Cookie. This one isn't about Mogra's kit. It's about two others that check for her:

  • Sugar Swan Cookie revives allies only if there are no other Healing Cookies on the team, per her cookierun.wiki skill box. Mogra on the team switches those revives off. Our Sugar Swan build covers the rule.
  • Nether Queen Cookie gets DMG Dampening +25% and CRIT DMG Resist +35% only when there is exactly one Healing Cookie on the team. A second Healer, Mogra included, turns that bonus off. See our Nether Queen build.

Burning Spice Cookie gets the bigger buff. Her skill box gives him a separate +30% DMG Resist line, against +20% for all allies, and the two share the Cycle-Burning Resonant set. Our Burning Spice build was written before v7.9 added either.

The update's own content writes her in. Devsisters' September 23 and October 7 notices put her into both of the update's headline modes:

WhereWhat the notice gives Mogra
Timeline of Fate Ep. 11, from "Faint Scent of Jasmine"Greatly increased ATK and DMG Dampening under Flame of Annihilation; the Seed of Change Tactical Skill charges significantly faster with her on the team
Timeline of Fate Ep. 12, from "Silent Outcry" and "The Pulse of Change"The same ATK and DMG Dampening boost under Flame of Annihilation and Flame of Mortality, and the same Seed of Change speed-up
Rajapendra of Mortality RaidPlaceable in every season regardless of element; can dispel the boss's Doomfire
Raid timingSeason 4, open to all elements, runs October 14 to October 21 (05:59:59; the notice gives no time zone)

The Raid is time-limited. The Timeline of Fate hooks are part of the story stages. For how she compares to the game's other healers, our healers ranking is a v7.4 snapshot that lists her as released since and not yet ranked.

What the sources do not settle

  1. Whether the set bonus and a Tart count toward Storyteller's Wisdom. The skill box says "by Toppings" and stops there. Our Topping Tarts guide flags the same open question for three other Cookies' Topping passives. Under the strictest reading nothing reaches 30%, so the Tart build loses nothing by betting it does.
  2. Her basic-attack heal. The skill box gives no number for it, or for how often she basic-attacks. That's why the stack table above counts heals, not seconds.
  3. Whether her two DMG Resist buffs stack. The scroll's +20% and Storytelling's +20% plus 1.5% per stack are listed as separate lines. The box doesn't say whether they add together.
  4. Her Stun against players. cookierun.wiki's skill notes add that she "will not Stun player-owned Cookies" without saying whether that covers Arena opponents.
  5. Mirror Toppings. Since September 23, a Mirror Topping can copy a +12 Epic Topping's bonus effects, a Cooldown line included. The notice doesn't say what main stat or Topping type a Mirror has, so check before you count one as a Swift Chocolate piece.

Quick Action Checklist

  1. Build five Swift Chocolate M Toppings and take them to +12: 3.0% Cooldown each, plus 5% from the set.
  2. Add a Swift Chocolate M Topping Tart. If the game counts it, it's the piece that makes 30% reachable at all, and one Mine Workshop Tart in ten is a Swift Chocolate.
  3. Prefer Cycle-Burning or Pride-Filled Swift Chocolates. Half of them carry a Cooldown line at +12, against 3 in 10 regular Epics, and the line can't roll under 1.5%.
  4. Keep every +12 Swift Chocolate that rolled Cooldown. If the set bonus and Tart count, three Resonant Cooldown lines guarantee 30% next to a Tart of 4.5% or better, and four guarantee it with any Tart.
  5. Rank bonus effects Cooldown, then ATK, then DMG Resist. On her skill box, ATK only grows the scroll heal, and nothing reads her own CRIT%.
  6. Equip a Sweet Beascuit. Take Cooldown there too, but don't count it toward the 30% check.
  7. Run her as your only Healing Cookie. She switches off Sugar Swan's revives and Nether Queen's one-Healer bonus.
  8. Pair her with Burning Spice when you can. Her skill box gives him a +30% DMG Resist buff, against +20% for all allies.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the best Toppings for Mogra Cookie in Cookie Run: Kingdom?
Mogra Cookie wants five Swift Chocolate (Cooldown) Toppings at +12 plus a Swift Chocolate Topping Tart, with Cooldown as the first bonus effect, then ATK, then DMG Resist. Her Storyteller's Wisdom gives her 3 extra Story Records per basic-attack heal once her Cooldown reduced by Toppings reaches 30%, and Cooldown also shortens her 13-second skill. Five Swift Chocolate M Toppings at +12 give 15% plus a 5% set bonus. Cycle-Burning or Pride-Filled Resonant Swift Chocolates are the best versions, because Cooldown is one of six possible bonus effects on them instead of ten.
What does Mogra Cookie's Storyteller's Wisdom do?
Storyteller's Wisdom is Mogra Cookie's start-of-battle passive in Cookie Run: Kingdom. Per cookierun.wiki's skill box, if her Cooldown reduced by Toppings is 30% or higher, each basic-attack heal gives her 3 extra Story Records, for 4 instead of 1. Story Records stack to 10, and her Storytelling skill spends them all: at 10 stacks allies get DMG Resist +35%, CRIT% +45% and All-type CRIT DMG +17.5% for 15 seconds.
Can Mogra Cookie reach 30% Cooldown from Toppings without a Topping Tart?
Effectively no. Five Swift Chocolate M Toppings at +12 give Mogra Cookie 15% Cooldown, the five-piece set bonus adds 5%, and each Topping can carry at most one Cooldown bonus effect, whose top bracket on Devsisters' odds page is 1.90% to less than 2.00%. Five Cooldown lines therefore add just under 10 points, leaving even a perfectly rolled no-Tart set a hair under 30%. A matching Swift Chocolate M Tart (3.0–5.0%) and the six-piece bonus (6% instead of 5%) cut the gap to 4–6 points of bonus lines, assuming the game counts the set bonus and the Tart.
Which Beascuit does Mogra Cookie use?
Mogra Cookie is a Healing Cookie, so she equips the Sweet Beascuit; Cookie Run: Kingdom locks Beascuits to Cookie type. A Legendary Beascuit at Lv.30 gives ATK +30% and HP +35% with four bonus-effect slots. Cooldown (2–6% on a Legendary) shortens her skill but, by her skill text's wording, does not count toward the 30% from Toppings that Storyteller's Wisdom checks. ATK (3–7.5%) grows her scroll heal.
Can you run Mogra Cookie with Sugar Swan Cookie?
You can, but it costs Sugar Swan Cookie's revives. Per cookierun.wiki, Sugar Swan revives fallen allies only if she is the only Healing Cookie on the team, and Mogra Cookie is a Healing Cookie. Nether Queen Cookie has a similar rule: her DMG Dampening +25% and CRIT DMG Resist +35% bonus applies only with exactly one Healing Cookie on the team. Mogra works best as a team's only Healer.
Should Mogra Cookie use Cycle-Burning or Pride-Filled Toppings?
Either works, and both beat regular Epic Toppings for Mogra Cookie. Both are Resonant sets she can equip (Cycle-Burning is shared only with Rajapendra and Burning Spice; Pride-Filled is open to eligible rarities). Per Devsisters' odds, a Resonant Topping's bonus effects come from six stats instead of ten and its Cooldown line rolls 1.5–2.0% instead of 1.0–2.0%, so a +12 Resonant Swift Chocolate carries a Cooldown line half the time, against 3 in 10 for a regular Epic.
