Rambutan Cookie Toppings Build — Cooldown Feeds the Team

Rambutan Cookie's Chieftain's Power pays her allies extra Regular Attack damage for every point of her Cooldown reduction, and nothing at zero. Here is how much Cooldown each slot can put on her, what it is worth by Devsisters' own roll odds, and where the skill's unlabelled 60% cap might stop it.

Published October 25, 2026·13 min read·By Mythras
Rambutan Cookie's standing art from Cookie Run: Kingdom: a Cookie with a huge mane of magenta hair tipped in green, white markings over pink eyes, a cream outfit crossed by a dark red sash, and gold bangles, one hand on her hip and the other holding a tall trident with a pink and green head.

Rambutan Cookie's most valuable stat doesn't show up in her own damage. Her skill hands all ally Cookies Chieftain's Power, and the extra Regular Attack damage inside it is priced in her Cooldown reduction: 1.5% of ATK per 1% of Cooldown, per cookierun.wiki's skill box. The same box's notes add that the extra damage isn't applied at all if she has no Cooldown reduction. So a Rambutan with no Cooldown on her still hands out a shield, CRIT% and ATK, and gives nothing from the line her kit is built around.

That makes the build question narrow. How much Cooldown can you put on her, from which slots, and where does the payoff stop? The last part turns on a cap the game prints without a unit, so this guide works through both readings of it. Topping odds come from Devsisters' own support pages, and the rest from cookierun.wiki's tables.

Her skill numbers come from cookierun.wiki's skill box, edited as recently as October 25. Fandom's Rambutan page is still a stub with an empty skill box, and Devsisters' October 21 notice describes the kit in words only.

She arrived alongside Lychee Dragon Cookie in the update our v7.10 update guide covers. That guide has her full skill box and a first pass at the Cooldown arithmetic. This one is the build.

What Rambutan Trident does, in numbers

The Rambutan Trident skill icon from Cookie Run: Kingdom: a green-and-white spear tip driving through a dark magenta rambutan shape against a burst of white light.

Devsisters' notice gives the shape of the skill. She rapidly stabs the enemy front row, then grants all allies an HP Shield, CRIT%, Amplify Buff and Chieftain's Power. At the start of battle she raises all ally Cookies' ATK SPD. Here are cookierun.wiki's Max-column numbers, set against what extra Cooldown does to each line:

LineValueLastsWhat more Cooldown does
ThrustUp to x5 hits over 1.3 sec, 211.0% of ATK per hitInstantMore casts
Final Blow638.0% of ATKInstantMore casts

ATK SPD (all ally Cookies)+25.0%Whole battle; the wiki's notes call it permanent and undispellableNothing

Three things fall out of that table.

The buffs already outlast her cooldown. Every timed buff lasts 15 seconds, and her base cooldown is 13. cookierun.wiki's Cooldown data page says the cooldown starts counting once a cast finishes, so the real gap between casts is 13 seconds plus the cast itself. The thrust alone runs 1.3 seconds, and the box doesn't time the rest. That's tight with no Cooldown at all. At 20% Cooldown her cooldown drops to 10.44 seconds, which leaves about four and a half seconds for the cast before a buff could lapse. Unless the untimed part of the cast runs long, Cooldown past that point isn't buying uptime. It's buying a bigger Extra DMG line, fresher shields and more thrusts.

One line scales. Of the eight lines above, Chieftain's Power Extra DMG is the one that reads her Cooldown. Everything else is a flat number.

Her damage lines don't drive the build. cookierun.wiki's Base and Max columns match on every line except the thrust (84.4% of ATK per hit at Base, 211.0% at Max); even the Final Blow reads 638.0% in both. Rajapendra Cookie's box on the same wiki has the same pattern, which looks more like an unfinished Base column than a real one. Either way, nothing in this build depends on her own damage.

Chieftain's Power: what each point of Cooldown buys

The line reads "1.5% of ATK per 1% Cooldown (capped at 60.0%)". What the 60% caps is the open question, and there are two readings:

  • The cap limits the result. The Extra DMG stops at 60% of ATK, which 40% Cooldown reaches. Our v7.10 guide read it this way, by analogy with how the wiki writes Ananas Dragon's and Lychee Dragon's Cooldown passives, where the cap limits what the passive produces.
  • The cap limits the Cooldown counted. The line counts Cooldown reduction up to 60%, which is also the game's overall Cooldown Reduction cap, so the Extra DMG tops out at 90% of ATK. cookierun.wiki's skill box now annotates the 60% as "Cooldown reduction", with a tooltip saying the unit is missing from the in-game text.

Devsisters hasn't settled it; the notice describes the line without numbers. The useful part is where the readings split. Below 40% Cooldown, they give the same number. They part ways only above 40%, and Toppings alone can't get her there, as the next sections show.

The two timing columns come from cookierun.wiki's Cooldown formulas. Skill cooldown is 13 seconds times one minus her Cooldown reduction, rounded up to the next sixteenth of a second. The first cast is 13 seconds times one minus her pre-battle Cooldown, times 0.3, rounded to the nearest second. By that formula her first cast drops from 4 seconds to 3 at about 10.3% Cooldown from gear, and to 2 at about 35.9%. Allies have no Chieftain's Power until that first cast lands, so an earlier one is an earlier buff. The wiki also notes that a Cookie sometimes can't cast until enemies are in range, which makes the start-of-battle timing a best case.

What counts as her Cooldown reduction

The notice says the extra damage is "based on Rambutan Cookie's Cooldown reduction". It doesn't limit the count to Toppings, the way Mogra Cookie's and Time Shadow Cookie's passives do. Read literally, any Cooldown reduction on her counts. Here's what the sources establish for each source of it:

SourceShortens her cooldownMoves her first castCounts toward Chieftain's Power
Toppings and Topping TartYesYesYes
Beascuit Cooldown linesYesYesYes, read literally; same "Gear" term as Toppings in the wiki's formula
Treasures such as Squishy Jelly WatchYesNoNot confirmed

cookierun.wiki's Cooldown formula puts Toppings and Beascuits in one Gear term, and Treasure effects in a separate in-battle Buff term that doesn't touch the first cast. The closest precedent is Oyster Cookie, whose own Cooldown-scaling bonus, per her cookierun.wiki notes, counts reduction "from all sources, including Treasures and Beascuits". Rambutan's notes don't say either way. Our Oyster Cookie build covers that kit.

That matters most for the Jelly Watch. Squishy Jelly Watch, a Common passive Treasure, cuts all allied Cookies' Cooldown by 10% at Lv.1 and 25% at Lv.12. If it counts toward Chieftain's Power, a Lv.12 Watch on top of a plain 20% Topping set puts her at 45%, past the point where the two cap readings split. If it doesn't, it still shortens her cycle. Our treasures guide covers the rest of the slot.

TreasureA Jelly Watch, if your team runs oneShortens her cycle; whether it raises Chieftain's Power is unconfirmed

On the bonus-effect order: once Cooldown is covered, she's a Front-row Charge Cookie, and her buffs stop renewing the moment she falls. That puts DMG Resist ahead of ATK. Resonant Toppings can roll DMG Resist at 4.5–6.0%, and Devsisters' table gives regular Epics 1.0–6.0%. ATK sits last because, on her box, it grows only her thrust and Final Blow. If Chieftain's Power turns out to read her ATK rather than each ally's, ATK moves up (see the last section).

What a Swift Chocolate set is worth to her

The Pride-Filled Swift Chocolate Resonant Topping icon from Cookie Run: Kingdom: a dark chocolate sphere set in a diamond-shaped frame of pastel blue, pink and white swirls with a gold border.

cookierun.wiki's Toppings page gives Swift Chocolate M 1.8% Cooldown at +0, plus 0.1% per upgrade, so 3.0% at +12. Its set bonus is 2% at two pieces, 4% at three, 5% at five and 6% at six, with a matching Topping Tart as the sixth piece.

Devsisters' bonus-effect tables set the rest. An Epic Topping gains a bonus effect at +6, +9 and +12, and each one is a different stat. On a regular Epic all ten effects are 10% each, and a Cooldown line rolls 1.0% to just under 2.0%. On a Resonant Topping the pool is six effects at 16.66% each, and Cooldown rolls 1.5% to just under 2.0%. Every value in a range is equally likely. So a +12 regular Swift Chocolate carries a Cooldown line 3 times in 10, worth 1.5% on average. A Resonant one carries it half the time, worth 1.75% on average.

Our Mogra Cookie build runs the same odds against a fixed 30% threshold. Chieftain's Power Extra DMG has no threshold below 40%, just a slope, so the useful number is the average. Here's what a set of five +12 Swift Chocolates gives on average, taken as they come:

SetupAverage CooldownChieftain's Power Extra DMG
Five regular Epic, no Tart22.25%33.4% of ATK
Five Resonant, no Tart24.4%36.6% of ATK
Five regular, plus an average M Tart (4.0%) and the six-piece bonus27.25%40.9% of ATK
Five Resonant, plus an average M Tart and the six-piece bonus29.4%44.1% of ATK
Ceiling: five Cooldown lines near 2.0% and a 5.0% M TartJust under 36%Just under 54% of ATK

The Tart average comes from Devsisters' Topping Tarts page, which gives an Epic Swift Chocolate Tart 3.0% to 5.0% Cooldown in 21 equally likely steps. The same page gives each of the ten Tart types a 10% chance per craft.

Two things follow from that table.

The Tart is worth more than the Resonant upgrade. An average M Tart plus the six-piece step adds 5.0 points of Cooldown. Swapping five regular Swift Chocolates for five Resonant ones adds about 2.1 points on average (4.4 points of bonus lines against 2.25). Chase the Tart first. Our Topping Tarts guide covers crafting one.

Toppings can't reach 40%. Even the ceiling row lands just under 36%, so on Toppings alone the cap argument is academic. Both readings give the same number. The question only becomes real once a Beascuit or a Treasure adds more.

The Chewy Beascuit slot

The Legendary Chewy Beascuit icon from Cookie Run: Kingdom: a gold shield with golden wings and a gem at the top, set with a grey clenched fist in the centre.

Beascuits are locked to Cookie type, so Rambutan takes the Chewy Beascuit. Per cookierun.wiki, a Legendary Beascuit at Lv.30 gives ATK +30% and HP +35% with four bonus-effect slots, and each bonus effect has a 9.091% chance to appear. Duplicates are allowed: the game warns you before you reset a Beascuit with three or more lines on the same stat. The Legendary ranges that matter here:

Bonus effectLegendary rangeWhat it does for Rambutan
Cooldown2% – 6%Raises Chieftain's Power and shortens her cycle
DMG Resist5% – 10%Keeps her alive to recast
HP3% – 15%Survival
ATK3% – 7.5%Her own thrust and Final Blow

cookierun.wiki's Cooldown page puts four perfect Cooldown lines at 24%, and says gear in total can reach the 60% cap. This is where the two cap readings start to matter:

  • From the Topping ceiling just under 36%, one Cooldown line of about 4% or more takes her past 40%.
  • From the average Resonant set with an average Tart (29.4%), she needs about 10.6 more points: two strong lines or three middling ones.
  • If the cap limits the result, stop at 40% and give the remaining slots to DMG Resist or HP.
  • If it limits Cooldown, keep stacking Cooldown toward 60%.

Check the attunement before you count a line. Every slot past the first is attuned to a random Cookie type, and an effect in a slot attuned to another type doesn't apply. Our Beascuit Dough guide covers what resets and attunement cost, and our stat caps guide works through the 60% Cooldown Reduction cap.

Who gets the most out of her

Teams that do their damage with Regular Attacks. Chieftain's Power's Extra DMG lands on Regular Attacks only, and the notice limits it to non-Summoned enemies, so that line does nothing against summons. Her battle-start ATK SPD +25% raises how often allies Regular Attack. Read literally, that's more chances for the Extra DMG to land, so the two halves of her kit push the same way.

Stun-heavy fights. Chieftain's Power carries Stun Immunity for its 15 seconds.

Watch the shared Resonant pool. The notice lists five Cookies who can equip Dragon's Sweet Prank Toppings: Lychee Dragon, Moonlight, Rambutan, Jax and Pomni. Build more than one of them and they draw on the same Toppings. Her other Resonant set, Pride-Filled, isn't tied to a named roster. Our Resonant Toppings guide covers where Resonant Toppings come from.

Timeline of Fate Ep. 13 rewards bringing her. Per the October 21 notice:

WhereWhat the notice gives Rambutan
Alluring Crimson Moon episode effect (from Turbulent Waters)She is one of three Cookies, with Lychee Dragon and Moonlight, less affected by Enchanting Nightmare and Sweet Slumber, and she also gains a DMG Dampening buff
Dance of the Rambutan Tribe (from Treacherous Cave Falls)Usable more times with her on the team; it heals allies, briefly halts the Total Lunar Eclipse and wakes sleeping or Drowsy allies
Wisdom of the Rambutan Tribe (from Treacherous Cave Falls)Usable more often with her on the team, with an enhanced DMG Dealt buff

What the sources do not settle

  1. What the 60% cap limits. The in-game text, per cookierun.wiki's tooltip, omits the unit. The wiki's editors now read it as a cap on Cooldown reduction, while our v7.10 guide read it as a cap on the Extra DMG. It only matters above 40% Cooldown.
  2. Whose ATK the Extra DMG reads. "1.5% of ATK" doesn't say whether that's Rambutan's ATK or the attacking ally's. If it's hers, ATK climbs the bonus-effect order.
  3. Whether Treasures count. Treasures shorten her cooldown, but nothing confirms they raise Chieftain's Power. Oyster Cookie's notes count them for her kit; Rambutan's notes are silent.
  4. Her Base column. It matches the Max column on every line but the thrust. The build doesn't depend on it, but skill-level advice for her waits until the Base column is confirmed.

Quick Action Checklist

  1. Put Cooldown on her before anything else. With none, cookierun.wiki's notes say Chieftain's Power adds no Regular Attack damage.
  2. Equip five Swift Chocolate M Toppings and take them to +12. That's 20% Cooldown with the set bonus, worth 30% of ATK on Chieftain's Power.
  3. Add a Swift Chocolate M Tart before chasing Resonant versions. An average Tart plus the six-piece step adds 5.0 points; five Resonant Toppings over five regular ones add about 2.1 on average.
  4. Prefer Dragon's Sweet Prank or Pride-Filled Swift Chocolates when you have them. A Cooldown line shows up half the time at +12, against 3 in 10 on regular Epics.
  5. Use a Legendary Chewy Beascuit's Cooldown lines to get past 40%, where the two cap readings split. Check attunement first.
  6. Rank bonus effects Cooldown, then DMG Resist, then ATK.
  7. Field her with Regular Attack damage dealers, and don't count on the Extra DMG against summons.
  8. Bring her to Ep. 13. The notice makes her less affected by its episode effect, gives her a DMG Dampening buff there, and boosts both Rambutan Tribe Tactical Skills.
  9. Mind the banner date. cookierun.wiki's countdown for her Featured Cookie banner ends November 18, 6:00 GMT+9.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the best Toppings for Rambutan Cookie in Cookie Run: Kingdom?
Rambutan Cookie wants five Swift Chocolate (Cooldown) Toppings at +12 plus a Swift Chocolate Topping Tart, with Cooldown as the first bonus effect, then DMG Resist, then ATK. Her Chieftain's Power gives allies extra Regular Attack damage worth 1.5% of ATK per 1% of her Cooldown reduction. Five Swift Chocolate M Toppings at +12 give 15% Cooldown plus a 5% set bonus, and an M Tart adds 3.0–5.0% plus the six-piece step to 6%. Dragon's Sweet Prank or Pride-Filled Resonant Swift Chocolates are the better versions, because Cooldown is one of six possible bonus effects on them instead of ten.
What does Rambutan Cookie's Chieftain's Power do?
Chieftain's Power is a 15-second buff Rambutan Cookie gives all ally Cookies with her Rambutan Trident skill in Cookie Run: Kingdom. Per cookierun.wiki it grants Stun Immunity, ATK +15% and extra damage on Regular Attacks against non-Summoned enemies, worth 1.5% of ATK per 1% of Rambutan's Cooldown reduction, capped at 60%. The wiki's notes say the extra damage is not applied if Rambutan has no Cooldown reduction.
Is Rambutan Cookie's Chieftain's Power extra damage capped?
Yes, at 60%, but per cookierun.wiki, Cookie Run: Kingdom's in-game text doesn't say 60% of what. If the cap limits the result, Chieftain's Power extra damage stops at 60% of ATK once Rambutan Cookie has 40% Cooldown reduction. If it limits the Cooldown counted, as cookierun.wiki's skill box now annotates it, the extra damage keeps growing to 90% of ATK at the game's 60% Cooldown Reduction cap. Both readings give the same number below 40% Cooldown, and Toppings alone top out just under 36%.
Which Beascuit does Rambutan Cookie use?
Rambutan Cookie is a Charge Cookie, so she equips the Chewy Beascuit; Cookie Run: Kingdom locks Beascuits to Cookie type. A Legendary Beascuit at Lv.30 gives ATK +30% and HP +35% with four bonus-effect slots, and a Legendary Cooldown line rolls 2–6%. Cooldown lines on the Beascuit are what take her past 40% Cooldown, which Toppings alone can't reach. Check that each slot's attunement matches Charge, or its effect doesn't apply.
Does Squishy Jelly Watch boost Rambutan Cookie's Chieftain's Power?
It is not confirmed. Squishy Jelly Watch cuts all allied Cookies' Cooldown by 10% at Lv.1 to 25% at Lv.12 in Cookie Run: Kingdom, so it does shorten Rambutan Cookie's cycle, though cookierun.wiki's formula says Treasures don't move a Cookie's first cast. Her skill text says Chieftain's Power scales with her Cooldown reduction without naming sources, and her wiki notes don't say whether Treasures count. Oyster Cookie's notes, for a similar Cooldown-scaling skill, do count Treasures.
Should Rambutan Cookie use Dragon's Sweet Prank or Pride-Filled Toppings?
Either Resonant set works on Rambutan Cookie, and both beat regular Epic Swift Chocolate Toppings for her on average. Per Devsisters' odds, a Resonant Topping's bonus effects come from six stats instead of ten, and its Cooldown line rolls 1.5–2.0% instead of 1.0–2.0%, so a +12 Resonant Swift Chocolate carries a Cooldown line half the time against 3 in 10 for a regular Epic. Dragon's Sweet Prank is shared with Lychee Dragon, Moonlight, Jax and Pomni, so building several of them splits one pool of Toppings.
