NARUTO Mythos TCG: Breakflip and Zvezdar Disagree
Our own NARUTO Mythos TCG explainer, five days old, named Zvezdar Toys as the company bringing the game to Europe and North America — sourced to trade press, because Cicaboom's own site never spelled it out anywhere we could find. This morning Cicaboom published a company update naming a different company, Breakflip, as the coordinator for those exact regions, and stated in writing that Breakflip is 'not the distributor.' Its own Products page, three clicks away, still names Zvezdar for the same three regions using the same three email addresses. Zvezdar's own site still calls itself the official distributor. All three pages are live right now, and none of them mentions the other two.

Five days ago we published the first real explainer on NARUTO Mythos TCG on this site, and one of its open questions was who actually runs the game's distribution outside Italy. We answered it the only way we could at the time: a trade publication, ICv2, named Zvezdar Toys as the company bringing the game to Europe, the UK and now North America, and Cicaboom's own site never spelled the relationship out in those words anywhere we could find.
This morning, it did. Cicaboom published a company update titled "Important update: NARUTO Mythos TCG distribution & partners," timestamped 11:15 UTC and lightly edited again just under an hour later. It names a new company, adds five territories the game has never touched before, and states in writing that the new company is "not the distributor." That would already be worth a post on its own. What makes it worth this particular post is that Cicaboom's own Products page, sitting three clicks from that announcement, still names a different company for the exact same three regions, using the exact same three contact email addresses — and that other company's own website, checked today, still calls itself the "official distributor." Three official-facing pages, live at the same time, and not one of them mentions either of the other two.
What changed today
NARUTO Mythos TCG is the competitive Naruto trading card game published by Italy's Cicaboom Srl, on shelves in Europe since 13 March 2026 with a public rulebook and organized play — a different product from both Bandai's unreleased NARUTO CARD GAME and Kayou's rules-free Naruto collectibles. We covered what it actually is, who makes it, and the open questions around its licensing in our 16 September explainer. This post does not repeat that ground. It covers exactly one thing: what today's announcement changes, and what it does not square with yet.

The update opens by crediting last weekend's Regional Championship in Paris (11–13 September) for the timing: "The energy from the community and the positive feedback we received throughout the event confirmed the direction we want to continue taking: supporting the players who are already part of NARUTO Mythos while making the game easier to discover and access for new players around the world." Then, in Cicaboom's own words: "Today, we are sharing the next step: new partners, new territories and a clearer structure for distributors and stores looking to work with NARUTO Mythos TCG."
Two things follow from that framing. Nothing here is a Set 2 or Set 3 update — the announcement does not mention Shinobi Shiren or Akatsuki by name. And nothing here is a rules update. This is entirely a business-side post: who sells the game where, effective today.
Breakflip is not your distributor, Cicaboom says
The headline of the update's first section is blunt: "BREAKFLIP: DISTRIBUTION FACILITATOR FOR EUROPE, UK AND THE AMERICAS." The text under it is careful to draw a line most publisher announcements would blur:
For Europe, the UK, North America and Latin America, Breakflip will act as the distribution facilitator for NARUTO Mythos TCG. To be clear: Breakflip is not the distributor of NARUTO Mythos TCG. Its role is to support and coordinate the relationship between Cicaboom and local distributors, helping make the process smoother for qualified partners who want to bring NARUTO Mythos TCG to stores in their markets.
So Breakflip is a middle layer, not a warehouse. Cicaboom repeats the distinction in a closing FAQ-style section: "Breakflip will support and coordinate the connection with Cicaboom, but will not act as your distributor." Distributors and stores in those four regions are told to contact a dedicated regional email address instead, and Cicaboom lists five: europe@, uk@, turkey@, northamerica@ and latam@narutotcgmythos.com.
Notice which region has an email address but is not named in that opening sentence. Turkey gets its own contact line, but the paragraph that names Breakflip's remit — "Europe, the UK, North America and Latin America" — does not include it. Cicaboom does not explain the gap, and neither the old page nor the new one calls Turkey's arrangement anything other than "Distribution opportunities." We are reporting the omission as written, not resolving it.
The distribution map, before and after
Here is the full "Our Distribution Network" list from today's update, transcribed in the order Cicaboom published it:
| Region | Partner named today | Status | Contact |
|---|---|---|---|
| Europe | Breakflip (coordination) | Available now | europe@narutotcgmythos.com |
| UK | Breakflip (coordination) | Available now | uk@narutotcgmythos.com |
| Turkey | Distribution opportunities, no named coordinator | Available now | turkey@narutotcgmythos.com |
| North America | Breakflip (coordination) | Available now | northamerica@narutotcgmythos.com |
| Latin America | Breakflip (coordination) | Opening soon | latam@narutotcgmythos.com |
| Italy | Manicomix | Available now | italy@narutotcgmythos.com |
| Australia & New Zealand | Ikon Collectables | Available now | anz@narutotcgmythos.com |
| South Africa | Epic Games (South Africa) | Available now | sa@narutotcgmythos.com |
| Hong Kong & Macau | KK Zone | October 2026 | info@narutotcgmythos.com |
| Malaysia | GamerzByGamers Distribution | October 2026 | info@narutotcgmythos.com |
| Philippines | Toy Shogun | October / November 2026 | info@narutotcgmythos.com |
Eleven rows. One of them is a useful control: Italy still reads Manicomix, exactly as it did before today, which is the same name our 16 September piece already had from the official distributor map. That is the one line that did not move. Everything else in the top half of that table is new wording for an old relationship, or brand new.
Five territories nobody covered before
Three of the eleven rows are places NARUTO Mythos TCG has never had an official presence before: Hong Kong & Macau (KK Zone, October 2026), Malaysia (GamerzByGamers Distribution, October 2026) and the Philippines (Toy Shogun, October/November 2026). None of the three appeared in Cicaboom's 27 May 2026 "going global" announcement, which we covered in the earlier explainer and which named the US, Canada, Latin America, Australia and South Africa as the territories arriving alongside Set 3. Today's update is the first time Mythos TCG has named a distribution partner anywhere in Asia.
South Africa, and half of the Australia & New Zealand line, are a different kind of change: they move status rather than appearing from nothing. The 27 May announcement named Australia and South Africa as arriving "with Set 3" — future tense, no date — but it never mentioned New Zealand. Today's pairing of Australia & New Zealand under a single partner is the first time New Zealand has appeared in any Cicaboom communication we can find. Today's page lists Ikon Collectables for ANZ and Epic Games for South Africa as "Available now," ahead of whatever Set 3's own release window turns out to be.
One name on that list is worth a flag on its own: Epic Games (South Africa) is a Cape Town–based toy and trading-card distributor — the official South African distributor for Topps and Panini, among other lines — and has no relationship to the American video game publisher of the same name. Cicaboom's page does not clarify this, and given this vertical's whole reason for existing is untangling identically named unrelated products, it seemed worth doing here too.
The page that still says Zvezdar
Now the part the announcement does not mention. NARUTO Mythos TCG's stores page — narutotcgmythos.com/boutiques — currently 301-redirects to the site's Products page, which carries its own "Official distributors" section. As read today, after this morning's announcement, it lists:
| Region | Distributor per the Products page | Contact |
|---|---|---|
| Italy | Manicomix | italy@narutotcgmythos.com |
| Europe | Zvezdar | europe@narutotcgmythos.com |
| UK | Zvezdar | uk@narutotcgmythos.com |
| Turkey | Zvezdar | turkey@narutotcgmythos.com |
Read those email addresses against the table two sections up. europe@, uk@ and turkey@ are the identical addresses the new update assigns to Breakflip's coordination role and to Turkey's unnamed "direct" arrangement. The Products page was not updated alongside the announcement — it still names Zvezdar, not Breakflip, for the same three regions and the same three inboxes. It carries no North America, Latin America, Australia, South Africa or Asia section at all; those territories simply are not on this page in any form, old or new.
We checked this page directly, twice, both after the new announcement had already gone live. Neither the page nor its underlying data carries a visible "last updated" date, so we cannot say how long it has read this way — only that it still does, right now, alongside a same-day announcement that describes the same regions differently.
Zvezdar has not said any of this either
The company whose name is on that older page has not caught up either. Zvezdar Toys' own US site, zvezdartoys.us, checked today, opens its Naruto section with this:
In 2025, Zvezdar became the official distributor of Naruto Mythos TCG for the whole of Europe and the United Kingdom, marking a major milestone in our international growth. In 2026, we are continuing our expansion by entering the North American market, bringing our experience, partnerships, and passion for the hobby industry to retailers across the United States and Canada. [...] Zvezdar is proud to bring Naruto Mythos TCG to North America as an official distributor.
That is the exact claim ICv2's trade reporting made about Zvezdar's role, which is what our earlier explainer relied on. It is also, as of today, in direct tension with Cicaboom's own new language, which frames Europe, the UK and North America as coordinated through Breakflip rather than distributed by any single named company — and never once mentions Zvezdar. Zvezdar's homepage, for its part, does not mention Breakflip anywhere we found.
We are not going to guess which of the three pages is the stale one. It is entirely possible Zvezdar remains one of the "local distributors" Breakflip now coordinates behind the scenes, and that today's update is additive rather than a replacement — Cicaboom's own wording never says Zvezdar's arrangement has ended. It is equally possible the relationship has changed and nobody has gotten around to updating two of the three pages yet. What we can say with confidence is that three official-facing sources — Cicaboom's new announcement, Cicaboom's own Products page, and Zvezdar's own site — currently describe Europe, UK and North America distribution in three different ways, on the same day, and none of the three acknowledges the other two.
The Paris Regional still has no results
The other loose thread from our 16 September piece was the first NARUTO Mythos TCG Regional Championship, held in Montreuil, France, from 11 to 13 September. At the time, Cicaboom had not published who won. Five days and one company update later, that is still true. Today's announcement references the event only in the passage quoted above — community energy, positive feedback, no name, no standings. The event's own official page still carries only pre-event logistics: the Best-of-1 Swiss format, the Best-of-3 Top Cut, and the champion's prize of an exclusive Gold Card. Cicaboom's news index carries no dedicated results post either.

A second Regional is scheduled for Orlando, Florida, on 27 September — inside Pro-Play Summit: Orlando, registering through TopDeck.gg — which had not happened as of this post and is not covered here.

What this does and does not tell you
What today's Cicaboom announcement establishes:
- Breakflip is named as a "distribution facilitator" — explicitly not a distributor — for Europe, the UK, North America and Latin America, effective today for the first three and "opening soon" for Latin America.
- Turkey gets its own contact email but is not included in the sentence naming Breakflip's remit.
- Five territories are named for the first time in any Cicaboom communication: Hong Kong & Macau, Malaysia and the Philippines (all new to the game entirely, arriving October–November 2026), plus Australia & New Zealand and South Africa moving from "arriving with Set 3" to "available now."
- Italy's distributor, Manicomix, is unchanged.
What it does not establish:
- Whether Zvezdar's prior role in Europe, the UK and North America has ended, continues underneath Breakflip's coordination, or was simply never mentioned in this particular post. Cicaboom's announcement does not use the word "Zvezdar" once.
- Why Cicaboom's own Products page still names Zvezdar for Europe, the UK and Turkey using the identical contact emails the new page assigns elsewhere — that page was not updated alongside today's announcement.
- Who won the Paris Regional. Cicaboom has still not published results, five days after the event concluded.
- Anything about Set 2 or Set 3. Today's post is silent on both.
If you are a store or a distributor reading this to figure out who to email: use the address Cicaboom just published for your region — that is the live announcement, and it is the newer of the two documents. If you are trying to figure out whether Zvezdar is still involved, that is a real open question this piece cannot close, because Cicaboom has not closed it either.
Distribution details, quotes and dates above are read directly from Cicaboom's "Important update: NARUTO Mythos TCG distribution & partners" post (narutotcgmythos.com, published 21 September 2026, 11:15 UTC), the NARUTO Mythos TCG Products page, and Zvezdar Toys' own US site, all checked on 21 September 2026.

NARUTO Mythos TCG: The Card Game Already on Shelves
Our own coverage of this vertical has treated the Naruto card question as a two-way choice: Bandai's NARUTO CARD GAME, which does not release until Summer 2027, or Kayou's collectibles, which are not a game at all. There is a third product neither of those posts mentions. NARUTO Mythos TCG — published by Italy's Cicaboom, sold in Europe through Zvezdar — has been on European shelves since 13 March 2026, ships with a full public rulebook, and ran a three-day Regional Championship in Paris the week before this was published. Here is what it actually is, and where it leaves the "Bandai vs Kayou" framing.

Kayou Naruto Fake Cards: The Check Is Not on the Card
Kayou’s FAQ answers "How to verify the authenticity of a KAYOU product?" with a single image and no text at all. That image names four security features — shifting text, a point-light "K", a depth-of-field background and a micro-embossed logo — and every one of them lives on the anti-counterfeit collection certificate rather than on a Naruto card. Two of the nine regions in Kayou’s own country registry carry the page at all, and the site’s product pages never say which products ship a certificate.

Naruto Card Game Distributors: 16 Names, No Order Date
The third item in the NARUTO CARD GAME site's navigation is FOR RETAILERS. It carries a full OFFICIAL DISTRIBUTOR list — 16 companies across North America, Europe, Oceania, Latin America and the Middle East — and then stops. There is no ordering window, no enrollment path, no product to order. Here is the whole list, what the page does not say, and how it lines up against the same page on Bandai's four shipped English-language card games.

Kayou Naruto Grading: 82% of CGC Grades Are a 10
CGC publishes a live population report for Kayou Naruto cards, and reading all 1,668 entries answers the question the product pages cannot: what actually happens when you send these things off. The short version is that the grade is barely a lottery — and the set code the grader files your card under is not the one printed on it.

Naruto Card Game Explained — Bandai vs Kayou, and Which One You Actually Want
Search "Naruto cards" and you get two completely unrelated products stacked on top of each other: a real competitive TCG from Bandai that nobody can buy until Summer 2027, and a line of Chinese-made collectible cards from Kayou that has been in Walmart since 2025. Here is exactly what each one is, what Bandai has actually confirmed as of August 2026, and which one the person asking the question actually wants.

Kayou Has Six Naruto Sets in the US Now — and the Series Numbers Do Not Mean What You Think
Kayou's US site now lists six NARUTO Smriti sets across three product lines, 880 cards in eleven months. The box names say Heaven Scroll, Chapter Jin and Earth Scroll with series numbers attached — but the codes printed on the cards tell a completely different story about which set follows which, and one line quietly carries Boruto-generation cards that the others do not.
