NARUTO Mythos TCG Shinobi Shiren: Set 2 Cards and Rarities

Set 2 of NARUTO Mythos TCG has been in European stores since 4 September, and Cicaboom's Products page still lists it as "Coming soon". The official Collection Guide says a great deal more: 150 numbered cards, a new Attachment card type, four rarities Set 1 never had, and serialized runs of 300, 400 and 1,500. Here is the whole set, rarity by rarity, checked against the official card gallery and events page.

Cicaboom's official Shinobi Shiren banner: the NARUTO logo and the words Shinobi Shiren on the left, and on the right a 1st Edition 10-card booster pack showing Sasuke Uchiha and Naruto Uzumaki facing off, on a dark grey background with orange cloud shapes along the top and bottom edges.

Cicaboom's Products page still lists Shinobi Shiren, the second set of NARUTO Mythos TCG, as "Coming soon". Checked on 30 September 2026, that is 26 days after the set's 4 September release in Europe and the UK. Our own NARUTO Mythos TCG explainer gives it one row in a table. Neither tells you what is actually in the box.

Cicaboom's Collection Guide for the set does. It is an eight-page PDF, linked from the official Collection Guide page, and its file is dated 1 September 2026. It lays out 150 numbered cards, a new card type, four rarities Set 1 never had, and serialized print runs of 300, 400 and 1,500 copies. This post goes through that guide rarity by rarity. It is cross-checked against the official card gallery, which listed 242 Set 2 first-edition entries on 30 September, and against Cicaboom's Events page. How the game plays, including the rules for the new Attachments, is in our how-to-play guide.

Shinobi Shiren in numbers

The guide's headline figure is "150 cards". That is the 140-card main set plus 10 Secrets numbered past it. Missions run on their own numbering, and the Legendary Gold cards sit outside the regular numbers altogether.

BlockNumbersCardsWhat they are
CommonsWithin 001–1105540 Characters and 15 Attachments
UncommonsWithin 001–1105538 Characters and 17 Attachments

Missions1–10, their own run10The new Mission pool
Legendary GoldOutside the regular numbering3Gaara, Jiraiya, Tsunade
Mythos Exclusive151–1588Listed on the checklist, outside the booster set

One discrepancy inside the guide is worth clearing up before anyone builds a spreadsheet from it. The "Card Types" page gives 40 Commons and 38 Uncommons. The numbering page gives 55 and 55. Both are correct. The first pair counts Characters only, and the gallery's 32 Attachments (15 Common, 17 Uncommon) close the gap exactly.

Of the 108 Character cards in the Common, Uncommon and Rare slots, the gallery's faction field puts 55 in the Leaf Village, 21 in the Sound Village, 18 Independent, 10 in the Sand Village and 4 in Akatsuki. Six of the ten Secrets share the version name "Battle of the Sannin": Tsunade, Katsuyu, Gamabunta, Jiraiya, Orochimaru and Manda. The other four are Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, Kakashi Hatake and Zabuza Momochi.

Here is the set next to Set 1's first edition, using each set's own Collection Guide:

One caveat on the Set 1 column. Its guide gives the Secret Variants 75 copies each on its numbering page but 300 on its Secret page. Cicaboom's Set 2 announcement also says 75, so that is the figure used here.

The rarity ladder, as Cicaboom lists it

This is the guide's own order. It does not rank the rarities against each other, so neither does this table.

Four of the thirty Rares have no Rare ART version. The checklist and the gallery agree on which: Orochimaru (127), Enma (132), Asuma Sarutobi (138) and Kabuto Yakushi (139). That is where 30 Rares become 26 Rare ARTs.

What a 10-card pack holds

The guide's pack diagram shows nine fixed cards and one variable card:

  • 1 Mission
  • 1 Rare
  • 4 Commons
  • 3 Uncommons
  • 1 card from a pool of eight: a holo Common, a holo Uncommon, a Rare ART, a Special, a Shinobi, a POP, a Legendary, or a Secret (normal or serialized variant).

Set 1's guide used the same nine fixed cards. Its tenth card was a holo Common, a holo Uncommon or a Rare ART, and the diagram showed three upgrades that could replace it, each with odds: a Secret in 1 of 10 packs, the Legendary in 1 of 800, and a numbered Secret Variant in 1 of 5,330. The Set 2 guide prints no odds for any of its eight. Cicaboom's Set 2 announcement says the new tier for special designs has "a defined pull rate", but the guide does not give it.

Chibi cards are not in the pool at all. The guide says they top the boxes, one per box, and the gallery lists nine Chibis as "Shinobi Shiren Box Topper".

Cicaboom's Products page has no Set 2 pack breakdown yet. Its Set 1 entry also describes the pack differently from both guides, as "1 HOLO" plus "1 card that is Rare (R) or Secret (S) or Legendary (L)". Where the two disagree, the Collection Guides are the more detailed source.

Four rarities Set 1 did not have

Shinobi (10). These are Chūnin Exams cards with artwork made only for this rarity. The crown icon on them marks exclusive art, and the guide says Studio Pierrot's exclusive artworks debut in this set. The cards are designed in pairs that reassemble a duel when placed side by side. The gallery lists all ten, and each one's DUEL line names its opponent: Hinata Hyuga and Neji Hyuga (111, 112), Gaara and Rock Lee (114, 115), Shikamaru Nara and Temari (118, 119), Kiba Inuzuka and Naruto Uzumaki (120, 121), and Sakura Haruno and Ino Yamanaka (123, 124). They carry the same "A" suffix as Rare ARTs, so check the icon rather than the number.

Two official NARUTO Mythos TCG Shinobi rarity sample cards side by side, both subtitled Chunin Exams. On the left, Hinata Hyuga, 111/140 A, stands in a Gentle Fist stance in her beige hooded jacket. On the right, Neji Hyuga, 112/140 A, faces her in the same stance. Both are on swirling blue-and-violet holographic backgrounds with gold kanji down one edge and a SAMPLE watermark across the middle.

Special (10). These are full-art versions of selected Rares and Secrets, with holographic brushstrokes, gold accents and textured inlays, numbered with a "V". Leaving out the event-promo Specials covered further down, the gallery lists Gaara (114), Rock Lee (115), two different Naruto Uzumaki versions (121), Minato Namikaze (122), Sakura Haruno (123), Sasuke Uchiha (126), Itachi Uchiha (137), Tsunade (141) and Kakashi Hatake (149).

Chibi (9 in boxes). These are selected characters redrawn in a super-deformed style, with rainbow holo foil and gold. The nine box toppers are Gaara (078), Hinata (111), Neji (112), Rock Lee (115), Shikamaru (118), Kiba (120), Naruto (121), Sakura (123) and Sasuke (126). Gaara's is the odd one out. Despite the guide's line that Chibis are "Variants of Rare cards", 078 is an Uncommon number. Four more Chibis come from weekly organized-play promos (see below).

Official NARUTO Mythos TCG Chibi sample card, Rock Lee, 115/140 V: a super-deformed Rock Lee in his green jumpsuit stands in a fighting stance with bandaged hands, in front of a gold-foil figure of himself mid-kick. He is set on a pink-and-teal swirl pattern, the card reads Chakra 6 and Power 7, and a SAMPLE watermark crosses the middle.

POP (4). These are printed on lenticular holographic stock, with a gold frame around the serial number and 300 copies of each. The four are Sakura Haruno (123), Sasuke Uchiha (126), Naruto Uzumaki (147) and Kakashi Hatake (149). The guide calls POPs "Variants of Rare cards", but two of the four sit on Secret numbers.

Official NARUTO Mythos TCG POP sample card, Kakashi Hatake, 149/140 V, serial 001/300 in a gold frame along the bottom. Kakashi holds an orange scroll across his face, and Sasuke, Sakura and Naruto appear below him against a green geometric background. A SAMPLE watermark crosses the card.

The serialized cards and their print runs

Fifteen cards in the booster set are serialized. The guide gives a print run for eleven of them:

Gaara, Rock Lee, Naruto, SasukeSerialized Rare ART114, 115, 121, 126Not stated

The four serialized Rare ARTs are identified by the checklist's "serialized" star, which appears on exactly those four rows in the Rare range. The guide itself only says that four Rare ARTs are serialized.

Compared with Set 1, the numbers moved in both directions. Set 1's four numbered Secret Variants were 75 copies each; Set 2's are 400. Set 1's first edition had one Legendary Gold card, Naruto Uzumaki, at 2,000 English and 1,000 French copies. Its second edition added Rock Lee (2,000 English, 500 French) and Sasuke (1,500 English, 250 French). Set 2 has three Legendaries at 1,500 each: fewer copies per card than Set 1's Naruto, but three cards instead of one. On the stated runs alone, Set 2's guide adds up to 7,300 serialized copies: 4,500 Legendary, 1,600 Secret Variant and 1,200 POP. Set 1's first-edition guide, counted the same way, gives 2,300: the 2,000-copy Legendary and four 75-copy Secret Variants. Cicaboom's Gold Card announcement adds 1,000 French Legendaries on top of that; the Set 2 guide does not split its runs by language. Cicaboom's Set 2 announcement had already flagged that very limited cards "(like runs of 50, 250, or 500) can be tough to obtain". Bigger runs do not tell you your odds, though. Cicaboom has published neither a pack count nor a pull rate.

All 32 Attachments

Attachments are Set 2's new card type. Our how-to-play guide covers the rules: one per player on each host, discarded when the host stops qualifying, no Chakra generated. Here is every one in the set, read off the official card gallery. Cost is Chakra; Power is what the Attachment adds.

Numbers 079 to 102 are the guide's 24 Character Attachments, and 103 to 110 are its 8 Mission Attachments. A few patterns stand out once they are in one list:

  • The four headbands share one design. Each is 1 Chakra for 2 Power, and each lets the wearer also count as a Leaf Village, Sand Village, Sound Village or Rogue Ninja character. The first three are gallery factions; Rogue Ninja is a keyword. That matters for effects that count those characters, such as Adamantine Nyoi, which gains 1 Power for every friendly Leaf Village character in its Mission. Remember that a host holds only one of your Attachments at a time, so a headband cannot sit alongside a second Attachment of yours on the same character.
  • Two attach only to enemies. Flash Bomb blanks the character's effect text. Poison Needles subtracts 1 Power and stops that character receiving Power tokens.
  • Two print negative Power. Poison Needles is one. The other is Weights, which attaches only to Rock Lee or a Taijutsu character and reads "At the start of each round, POWERUP 5."
  • Heaven Scroll and Earth Scroll are a pair. Each gains 1 Mission point on SCORE if you have the other in the same Mission.
  • Change of Mission Rank helps both players. It makes its Mission worth 1 more point to whoever wins it, so it is as much a bet on winning that Mission as a bonus.

The ten new Missions

No.MissionPrinted pointsEffect
1New Forces2MAIN ⧗ If you play a character with a different name than any other character in this mission, POWERUP 2 that character.
2Reconnaissance1SCORE ↯ Look at a hidden character and then you may move them.
3Honorable Duel2MAIN ⧗ If you have exactly one non-hidden friendly character in this mission, they have +4 Power.
4High Priority Mission0MAIN ⧗ Score this mission twice (activating SCORE effects again, if any).
5Adverse Terrain4MAIN ⧗ CHAKRA +2 for the player currently losing the mission.
6Keep a Low Profile2MAIN ⧗ All characters in this mission have, after all their other abilities, "AMBUSH ↯ POWERUP 2".
7King of the Hill2MAIN ⧗ Before determining Power in the Mission Evaluation phase, the character with the unique highest Power in this mission has +3 Power.
8Team Training2MAIN ⧗ If you have exactly 3 non-hidden friendly characters in this mission, you have +5 total Power in this mission.
9Behind Enemy Lines3SCORE ↯ The opponent must draw a card.
10Sabotage2SCORE ↯ Discard an attachment in play.

Printed values run from 0 to 4, and the two ends of that range are the interesting cards. High Priority Mission prints 0 points but scores twice, so on a plain reading of the card its whole value is its rank bonus, counted twice each time it is won. Using the rulebook's rank bonuses (+1 to +4 for D to A) and the number of times each slot is evaluated, that is a ceiling of 8 points over a game in the D or A slot and 12 in C or B, before other effects. Setup draws two of each player's three chosen Missions at random and alternates the two players' cards, so you cannot pick its slot, or even be sure it gets used. Adverse Terrain prints 4, the highest of the ten, but gives CHAKRA +2 to whoever is currently losing it. Behind Enemy Lines prints 3, and its SCORE effect makes the winner's opponent draw a card. That is a real concession in a game where each player draws 13 cards across a match before card effects. Sabotage discards an Attachment in play each time its winner scores it.

The gallery and the Events page between them name how each non-booster Set 2 card is handed out:

The Regional ladder has one inconsistency. The Events page lists the Paris Regional's Top 8 card as Sasuke and its Top 16 card as Itachi. It lists Orlando's the other way round. The gallery, which files both cards under "Regional Championship 01", agrees with the Orlando listing. We are not guessing which Paris line is the typo.

The Regional champion's prize is the one both Regional pages call "an exclusive Gold Card in English". The pages show it as this Legendary Kakashi Hatake, and the gallery files it at 149/140.

Official image of the NARUTO Mythos TCG Regional Championship Gold Card: an all-gold Legendary Kakashi Hatake, Make-Out Paradise, engraved with Kakashi reading his book. It shows Chakra 6 and Power 6, the TEAM 7 / JUTSU and LEAF VILLAGE labels, a Legendary badge bottom left and the text REG. CHAMP. bottom right, on a black border.

Look at the bottom edge of that card. Where the POP Kakashi above prints a serial number (001/300 on the sample), this one prints "REG. CHAMP." instead. Neither Regional page, the Events page nor the gallery gives it a print run, a serial number or a gold specification. The guide's 22-karat, 1,500-copy description covers the three pack Legendaries only; this Kakashi is not in the guide.

The checklist also lists eight Mythos Exclusive cards numbered 151 to 158: two Rock Lees, Gaara, Kakashi Hatake, Zabuza Momochi, Tenten, Neji Hyuga and Might Guy. None of the eight is in the gallery yet. The guide only says that Mythos cards come through special packs, blisters, official events and tournaments, without saying which route these eight take. For comparison, the gallery lists Set 1's equivalent cards, 141 to 144, as Special Pack cards. That is a pattern, not a confirmation.

The October wave is Europe and UK only

Set 2 is not finished shipping. Cicaboom's Set 2 announcement, as updated after it cancelled the 28–30 August pre-release weekend, splits the first edition in two:

WaveProductsDate
FirstBooster Display4 September 2026
SecondSpecial Pack Design A, Special Pack Design B, Team SetOctober 2026, "dates still to be confirmed"

The same page adds that "a number of Set 2 cards become playable only with the release of the Special Pack Design A." It does not name them.

The regional catch comes from Cicaboom's 27 May announcement of Set 3 and its new territories. It says that for Set 2, "Special Packs and Team Sets will remain exclusive to Europe and the UK", and that the newly added territories receive only Booster Displays in this wave. On that statement, stores in the territories added in May (the US, Canada, Latin America, Australia and South Africa) get Shinobi Shiren boosters only, so the Special Pack cards have no official route there yet. Who distributes the game in those regions is its own tangle, covered in our Breakflip and Zvezdar piece.

One more date is on the Events page: Lucca Comics & Games, 28 October to 1 November 2026, in the Padiglione Carducci. Cicaboom lists a demo promo there, NARUTO "Rasen Shuriken", which the page bills as the first NARUTO Mythos Shippuden TCG card. It also lists the two Lucca-logo Final Valley promos from the table above. Bandai's rival NARUTO CARD GAME has its own event page for the same show, at Piazza Santa Maria, so both Naruto card games are booked into the same town that week. Our Essen, Paris and Lucca breakdown covers Bandai's side.

What the guide does not tell you

  • Pull rates. None for any Set 2 rarity, where Set 1's guide printed three.
  • The serialized Rare ART run. The guide confirms four serialized Rare ARTs and gives no copy count.
  • The Special Pack contents. Neither the guide nor the gallery lists what is in Design A, Design B or the Team Set, and neither says which Set 2 cards wait on Design A.
  • How Mythos 151 to 158 are distributed. They appear on the checklist but not yet in the gallery or on the Events page.
  • The Regional Gold Card's run and material. The pages call it a Gold Card and print "REG. CHAMP." on it, and that is all.
  • Prices. We found no MSRP for any Set 2 product on Cicaboom's site.

The second wave is due in October, and this guide will need its first update when Cicaboom dates it.

Card counts, rarities, numbering, the pack diagram and print runs above are read from Cicaboom's Shinobi Shiren Collection Guide PDF (file dated 1 September 2026) and Set 1 Collection Guide PDF. Card text, factions and distribution notes come from the official card gallery and Events page. Release and territory details come from Cicaboom's Set 2 and 27 May Set 3 announcements. All were checked on 30 September 2026.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many cards are in NARUTO Mythos TCG Shinobi Shiren?
Cicaboom's Collection Guide puts NARUTO Mythos TCG Set 2, Shinobi Shiren, at 150 numbered cards: a 140-card main set (55 Commons, 55 Uncommons and 30 Rares) plus 10 Secrets numbered 141/140 to 150/140. On top of that come 10 Mission cards on their own 1 to 10 numbering, 3 Legendary Gold cards outside the regular numbering, variant rarities that reuse existing numbers (Rare ART, Special, Shinobi, Chibi, POP and Secret Variants), and 8 Mythos Exclusive cards numbered 151 to 158 that are not sold in boosters.
What is in a Shinobi Shiren booster pack?
A NARUTO Mythos TCG Shinobi Shiren booster holds 10 cards: 1 Mission, 1 Rare, 4 Commons, 3 Uncommons, and one card from a pool of eight, which is a holo Common, holo Uncommon, Rare ART, Special, Shinobi, POP, Legendary or Secret (including the serialized Secret Variants). Chibi cards are not in packs; nine come one per box as box toppers, and four more are handed out through weekly organized play. Unlike the Set 1 guide, the Set 2 Collection Guide publishes no pull rates.
What are the new rarities in NARUTO Mythos TCG Set 2?
NARUTO Mythos TCG Set 2, Shinobi Shiren, adds four rarities that Set 1 did not have. Special (10 cards) are full-art versions of selected Rares and Secrets. Shinobi (10 cards) are paired Chūnin Exams duel cards with artwork exclusive to the rarity. Chibi (9 box-topper cards) redraw characters in a super-deformed style. POP (4 cards) are lenticular holo cards serialized to 300 copies each.
How many Legendary Gold cards are in Shinobi Shiren?
Three. Cicaboom's Shinobi Shiren Collection Guide lists Legendary Gold cards of Gaara, Jiraiya and Tsunade, each made with 22-karat gold foil and serialized to 1,500 copies. Separately, the NARUTO Mythos TCG Regional Championship winner's prize is a Legendary Kakashi Hatake, Make-Out Paradise, printed "REG. CHAMP."; Cicaboom has not published a print run or gold specification for that card.
What are the serialized print runs in NARUTO Mythos TCG Set 2?
Per Cicaboom's Shinobi Shiren Collection Guide: the 3 Legendary Gold cards are serialized to 1,500 copies each, the 4 POP cards to 300 each, and the 4 Secret Variants to 400 each. Four Rare ART cards are also serialized, but the guide gives no copy count for them. By comparison, Cicaboom's Set 2 announcement says Set 1's four numbered Secret Variants were limited to 75 copies each (the Set 1 guide gives both 75 and 300 on different pages).
How many Attachment cards are in Shinobi Shiren?
NARUTO Mythos TCG Set 2, Shinobi Shiren, has 32 Attachment cards, numbered 079 to 110: 24 that attach to Characters (079 to 102) and 8 that attach to Missions (103 to 110). Fifteen are Common and seventeen are Uncommon. Attachments are new to Set 2; Set 1 has only Character and Mission cards.
Can you get Shinobi Shiren Special Packs outside Europe?
Not through official distribution in this wave, per Cicaboom's 27 May 2026 announcement, which says Set 2 Special Packs and Team Sets remain exclusive to Europe and the UK while newly added territories receive only Booster Displays. The Special Packs and Team Set are part of an October 2026 second wave with no confirmed date as of 30 September 2026, and Cicaboom says some Set 2 cards only become playable with Special Pack Design A.

NARUTO Mythos TCG Store Championships: Two Cards, No Results

Our two existing NARUTO Mythos TCG pieces both mention Store Championships in passing — a line in a comparison table, a clause in an FAQ answer — and neither explains what one actually is. Cicaboom does, on a page it published back in June and never updated: a five-week European season with its own two promo cards, no format published anywhere, and (going by the news feed) zero results ever posted, the exact pattern we already found with the publisher's first Regional. The publisher's own two pages describing the season cannot even agree on the day it started.

NARUTO Mythos TCG: Breakflip and Zvezdar Disagree

Our own NARUTO Mythos TCG explainer, five days old, named Zvezdar Toys as the company bringing the game to Europe and North America — sourced to trade press, because Cicaboom's own site never spelled it out anywhere we could find. This morning Cicaboom published a company update naming a different company, Breakflip, as the coordinator for those exact regions, and stated in writing that Breakflip is 'not the distributor.' Its own Products page, three clicks away, still names Zvezdar for the same three regions using the same three email addresses. Zvezdar's own site still calls itself the official distributor. All three pages are live right now, and none of them mentions the other two.

NARUTO Mythos TCG: The Card Game Already on Shelves

Our own coverage of this vertical has treated the Naruto card question as a two-way choice: Bandai's NARUTO CARD GAME, which does not release until Summer 2027, or Kayou's collectibles, which are not a game at all. There is a third product neither of those posts mentions. NARUTO Mythos TCG — published by Italy's Cicaboom — has been on European shelves since 13 March 2026, ships with a full public rulebook, and ran a three-day Regional Championship in Paris the week before this was published. Here is what it actually is, and where it leaves the "Bandai vs Kayou" framing.

Naruto Card Game Explained: Bandai, Kayou or Mythos?

Search "Naruto cards" and you get three unrelated products stacked on top of each other: a competitive TCG from Bandai that nobody can buy until Summer 2027, a line of Chinese-made collectible cards from Kayou that has been in Walmart since 2025, and a third game — Cicaboom's NARUTO Mythos TCG — that has been on European shelves since March 2026 and is already running sanctioned tournaments. Here is exactly what each one is, what each publisher has actually confirmed, and which one the person asking the question actually wants.

Kayou Naruto Fake Cards: The Check Is Not on the Card

Kayou’s FAQ answers "How to verify the authenticity of a KAYOU product?" with a single image and no text at all. That image names four security features — shifting text, a point-light "K", a depth-of-field background and a micro-embossed logo — and every one of them lives on the anti-counterfeit collection certificate rather than on a Naruto card. Two of the nine regions in Kayou’s own country registry carry the page at all, and the site’s product pages never say which products ship a certificate.
