Disney Lorcana Coco Cards: All 27 in Hyperia City

Coco is the biggest property in Hyperia City and, by LorcanaJSON's property tags, the only one with no card in an earlier main set. Here are all 27 Coco cards, the two engines they run, the rulings that decide how they play, and what Ravensburger's own Coco deck does with them.

Ravensburger's header art for its Coco themed deck article: Miguel Rivera, eyes closed and grinning under a huge black sombrero, plays a white guitar with a skull-shaped headstock on a stage. Behind him on the left is an ofrenda with lit candles, apples, marigold garlands and three framed photographs in front of a glowing sugar-skull pattern, on the right a giant purple guitar outlined in marquee lights, and a crowd's raised hands are silhouetted along the bottom.

Hyperia City goes on sale everywhere on 23 October 2026, a week after its 16 October prerelease, and the biggest film in it is one that until now had a single promo card in Lorcana. Coco has 27 of the set's 204 standard cards, two more than Big Hero 6, and by LorcanaJSON's property tags it is the only property in Hyperia City with no card in any earlier main set.

It also arrived with a mechanic of its own. Seven Coco cards check whether you have 10 or more cards in your discard, and no other card in LorcanaJSON's export of every Lorcana set through Hyperia City uses that wording. Add a family of musicians who get better while a song card sits in your discard, and a villain who banishes Singers, and Coco is less a set of fan-service glimmers than a small archetype you can build around.

This is the reference for all of it: every Coco card, the two engines they run, the published rulings that decide how they play, and what Ravensburger's own designer put in the Coco deck the company published on 15 October.

Sources: card data from the LorcanaJSON English export generated 16 October 2026, whose "story" field supplies the property tag, cross-checked card by card against Lorcast's Hyperia City list on 23 October; rulings from Ravensburger's Hyperia City set release notes (8 October); the deck from Ravensburger's "A Coco Themed Deck" by Brennan DeCandio of its Development and Design team (15 October); promo details from the Hyperia City Organized Play kit instructions (28 September) and Ravensburger's D23 announcements. Rule numbers are Comprehensive Rules 2.3, in force since 16 October.

Unless a stat is listed, characters have 1 lore. Counts by type: 18 characters, four songs, four items and one location. By rarity: 10 Commons, 5 Uncommons, 8 Rares, 3 Super Rares and 1 Legendary. Four are uninkable - Miguel Rivera - Accomplished Musician, Mamá Imelda's Blessing, Everyone Knows Juanita and Ernesto de la Cruz - Idol of Millions - so 23 of the 27 carry the inkwell swirl.

Three inks, two engines

The split is Ruby 11, Amethyst 9, Amber 7, and nothing in Emerald, Sapphire or Steel. Ravensburger's Hyperia City product page says the film's songs are "found across Amber, Amethyst, and Ruby inks", and the rest of the Coco cards follow the same three.

A Constructed deck is capped at two inks (how to play Disney Lorcana covers the deck rules), so no Coco deck plays all 27. Which two you pick decides which engine you get:

EngineWhat it checksCardsInks
Song in the discardSong cards in your discard: the two Rivera characters need just one, Though I Have to Say Goodbye counts themMiguel Rivera - Street Musician, Héctor Rivera - Gone to Pieces, Though I Have to Say GoodbyeAmber, Ruby
Ten in the discardWhether you have 10 or more cards in your discardDante - Strange and Endearing, Dante - Loyal Alebrije, Everyone Knows Juanita, Pepita - Imelda's Right Hand, Rivera Family Photo, The Torn Corner, Land of the Dead - Marigold BridgeAmethyst, Ruby

Ruby is the hinge. All three Héctors, both Ernestos, two Pepitas and four of the seven threshold cards are Ruby. Amber brings the Miguels, Remember Me and Ancestral Guitar. Amethyst brings the Dantes, Mamá Coco, Mamá Imelda and Everyone Knows Juanita. Every one of the seven "10 or more" cards is Amethyst or Ruby, so Amethyst/Ruby is the only pairing that can play all of them; Amber has none.

Ten cards in the discard is the whole plan

The Disney Lorcana card Pepita - Imelda's Right Hand, a 5-ink Ruby Super Rare from Hyperia City numbered 119/204 with 4 Strength, 6 Willpower and 1 Lore, showing a winged green alebrije with a jaguar's body, red-and-orange feathered wings and a striped tail swooping over the lit-up towers of the Land of the Dead at night, with Shift 3 onto a character named Pepita and the ability Ancestral Wisdom: while you have 10 or more cards in your discard, this character gets +2 Strength and +2 Lore.

The threshold is a switch, not a scale. Each card checks one condition and gets one fixed bonus once you reach 10:

CardBelow 10At 10 or more
Dante - Strange and Endearing (1 ink)0/1 Evasive for 1 lore2 lore
Pepita - Imelda's Right Hand (5 ink)4/6 for 1 lore6/6 for 3 lore

Rivera Family Photo (1 ink)Mill 2Or gain 1 lore
The Torn Corner (3 ink)Fond Memories does nothingDraw a card
Everyone Knows Juanita (5 ink)Draw 2Draw 3

The cards that get you there are the ones that put cards straight from your deck into your discard: Héctor Rivera - Street Musician can mill 1 when you play him, Rivera Family Photo mills 2 for 1 ink, Though I Have to Say Goodbye mills 3, and Héctor Rivera - Worldwide Sensation puts every card he looks at and doesn't keep into the discard. Ordinary play fills the pile as well: every action you play lands there after it resolves, and every character that gets banished does too.

Two cards care about that milling directly. Mamá Coco - Visiting the Park gets +1 lore for the turn whenever you put one or more cards into your discard from your deck. The Torn Corner has a second ability, Mend the Photo, which lets you play it from your discard for free when it gets milled while you have Rivera Family Photo in play. That is the film's torn photograph put back together, and it means the Photo can dig up its own payoff.

One Coco card pulls the other way. Mamá Imelda - No-Nonsense Ancestor is a 4-cost 5/5 with 2 lore, but when you play her you either put 3 cards from your discard on the bottom of your deck or banish her. In a threshold deck that is a real cost: three cards taken out of the count you are trying to build.

The ruling to know is about Everyone Knows Juanita. Per the release notes it does not count itself: an action is still in play while it resolves, so it is not in your discard when the game checks whether you have 10. You need 10 before you play it. Our Hyperia City rules changes post collects that ruling with the set's others, and actions explained covers why an action is in play while it resolves.

The Disney Lorcana card Land of the Dead - Marigold Bridge, a 4-ink Ruby Uncommon location from Hyperia City numbered 135/204, printed sideways, with 8 Willpower, a move cost of 1 and 1 Lore, showing a long arching bridge of glowing orange marigold petals stretching over the purple, lamp-lit towers and canals of the Land of the Dead at night, with the ability Honored Offerings: while you have 10 or more cards in your discard, this location gets +2 Lore.

The Rivera songbook

The Disney Lorcana card Héctor Rivera - Worldwide Sensation, a 6-ink Ruby Legendary from Hyperia City numbered 106/204 with 5 Strength, 5 Willpower and 2 Lore, showing Héctor in a black-and-gold charro suit singing into a vintage microphone with a white guitar slung across him, holding out a black sombrero as marigold petals fall around a festival stage, classified Dreamborn and Mentor, with Shift 4 onto a character named Héctor Rivera and the ability Big Hit.

The other engine is music. Four of Hyperia City's 14 songs are Coco cards - Remember Me, Everyone Knows Juanita, Un Poco Loco and Though I Have to Say Goodbye - and five Coco characters have Singer in their own text:

CharacterCostSings asCondition
Héctor Rivera - Street Musician12Always
Miguel Rivera - Street Musician13Only while you have a song card in your discard
Héctor Rivera - Gone to Pieces46Always
Ernesto de la Cruz - Idol of Millions35Always
Ernesto de la Cruz - Ruthless Musician68Always

Singing is an alternate cost: under rule 5.4.4.2 you can exert a character whose cost is at least the song's cost instead of paying ink, and Singer N lets a character count as cost N for that (8.11.1). The full mechanics, including why the gap between a character's cost and what it sings as is the number that matters, are in Lorcana songs explained.

The centrepiece is Héctor Rivera - Worldwide Sensation. His Big Hit triggers whenever he quests and whenever he sings a song for the first time each turn: look at the top 3 cards of your deck, take a song if you want one, and put the rest into your discard. DeCandio's article points out the unusual part: the rest go to the discard, not the bottom of your deck. That makes him a card-advantage engine for the song plan and a mill engine for the threshold plan at the same time. Questing and singing both exert him, so without an effect that readies him it is one Big Hit per turn. Singing with Sing Together counts too: rule 8.12.3 says a character that helps sing a Sing Together song meets a "whenever this character sings a song" condition.

The song-in-discard cards are simple once one song has resolved. Héctor Rivera - Gone to Pieces gets +1 lore and Evasive, and Miguel Rivera - Street Musician gets +1 lore and Singer 3. Per the release notes, Miguel's condition is a yes-or-no check: two songs in your discard still give him +1, not +2.

Ancestral Guitar is the Coco item built for song decks. It draws a card when you play it, and for 1 ink and an exert it gives a chosen character Singer and +2 cost to sing songs for the turn. Rule 8.11.3 adds that +2 to an existing Singer number, so the Guitar on Héctor Rivera - Gone to Pieces has him singing as an 8 that turn. The release notes confirm the +2 still applies when the target already has Singer.

Remember Me is the only card that gets two questions in the release notes. It costs 6, has Sing Together 6, and for the rest of the turn lets you play characters from your discard; they enter play exerted, and you can't play a second character with the same name as one you already played that way. The release notes add two points:

  • Free plays count. If another card lets you play a character for free that turn, you can play it from your discard.
  • It does nothing on its own. Remember Me doesn't play anything; it only lets you play characters from your discard when you could play a character anyway. Played on an opponent's turn, it does nothing unless something else also lets you play a character then.

Ernesto is built to kill Singers

The Disney Lorcana card Ernesto de la Cruz - Ruthless Musician, a 6-ink Ruby Rare from Hyperia City numbered 120/204 with 6 Strength, 5 Willpower and 1 Lore, showing the skeletal Ernesto in a sparkling white jacket gripping a gold microphone and glaring down at a boy seen from behind, in front of red stage curtains, classified Storyborn and Villain, with Singer 8 and the ability Whatever It Takes: when you play this character, you may banish chosen character with Singer.

Coco's villain, and one of its items, point the other way. Three Coco cards aim at your opponent's singing rather than your own:

  • Ernesto de la Cruz - Ruthless Musician can banish a chosen character with Singer when you play him.
  • Ernesto de la Cruz - Idol of Millions gets +1 lore while an opponent has a song card in their discard.
  • Mamá Imelda's Blessing is a 1-cost Amber item: for 1 ink and an exert, a chosen character gets -1 Strength and can't exert to sing songs until the start of your next turn.

DeCandio's article names the combination that turns Ruthless Musician into general removal: Ancestral Guitar can make any character a Singer for Ernesto to banish. In practice, use the Guitar's From the Heart on an opposing character, which gives it Singer for the turn, then play Ernesto and banish it. Both abilities use "chosen character" without limiting it to your own, so the Guitar can point at anything you are allowed to choose. That is the catch. Under rule 8.15.1, Ward stops opponents choosing a card for an effect, so a Ward character can't be given Singer by your Guitar or picked by Ernesto. And it costs 7 ink in one turn with the Guitar already in play: 1 for From the Heart and 6 for Ernesto.

Ravensburger's own Coco deck

On 15 October, Ravensburger published a Coco deck by Brennan DeCandio of its Development and Design team. He says Coco cards go big on discard, songs and Singers, and that he chose the singer side; it is not quite "the Amber/Steel songs deck of old", he writes, because Ruby has joined. Here it is, sorted by job rather than by set:

The shape, counted from the list:

  • 60 cards, exactly 30 Amber and 30 Ruby. Every set is Fabled or later, so the whole list is Core Constructed legal.
  • 33 Hyperia City cards, and all 33 are Coco. It plays 10 of the 18 Amber and Ruby Coco cards.
  • 17 songs, which are all of its actions, against 18 characters with Singer in their own text plus three Guitars to lend it to the rest.
  • 46 inkable cards and 14 uninkable ones: Akood et Emuti, Grab Your Bow, Red Moon Ritual, Hercules and both Miguel Rivera - Accomplished Musicians. The uninkable cards breakdown covers why that ratio matters.

The line DeCandio singles out is the Hercules loop. Sing Remember Me, play the lone Hercules - Young Rescuer from your discard, and his on-play ability lets you discard your hand to return a card from your discard - Remember Me itself - to your hand.

What the list leaves out is as telling. It plays only one of the seven threshold cards, Pepita - Imelda's Right Hand. The other three Ruby ones - Rivera Family Photo, The Torn Corner and Marigold Bridge - could go in alongside the mill song Though I Have to Say Goodbye, while the three Amethyst ones cannot, by ink. As of 23 October, the only Coco deck on Ravensburger's news page is this singer build; a discard build is left to players.

Shift chains, Enchanteds and promos

Four of Hyperia City's 17 Shift characters are Coco, and each has two same-name bases in the set:

Shift cardShiftBases
Miguel Rivera - Accomplished Musician3Promising Musician (Common), Street Musician (Rare)
Pepita - Imelda's Right Hand3Sweet Kitty (Common), Watchful Alebrije (Uncommon)
Dante - Loyal Alebrije4Enthusiastic Stray (Common), Strange and Endearing (Uncommon)
Héctor Rivera - Worldwide Sensation4Street Musician (Uncommon), Gone to Pieces (Rare)

How a stack behaves is in Lorcana Shift explained, and the odds of opening both halves in a six-pack pool are in the Hyperia City prerelease guide.

For collectors, Coco takes 5 of the set's 18 Enchanted slots - Miguel Rivera - Street Musician (224), Remember Me (225), Un Poco Loco (228), Héctor Rivera - Worldwide Sensation (232) and Pepita - Imelda's Right Hand (233) - and 4 of its 18 Epics: Ancestral Guitar (207), Dante - Enthusiastic Stray (208), Héctor Rivera - Street Musician (215) and Though I Have to Say Goodbye (216). Neither of the set's two Iconics is a Coco card. What those tiers mean is in the rarities breakdown.

Two promo printings exist outside the boosters:

  • Héctor Rivera - Gone to Pieces, D23 card 13. Ravensburger said one card in the six-card D23 2026 Collection would be the very first card released to the public from Hyperia City, and this is the one; the set reprints it as card 121. On 19 October Ravensburger announced an online sale of the D23 Collection and the Winnie the Pooh - Hunny Wizard playmat through EQL. Entries open Saturday 31 October at 9am ET and close Sunday 1 November at 9pm ET; buyers are picked at random, winners are emailed from 4 November, and it ships only to the United States, the United Kingdom and the European Union.
  • Everyone Knows Juanita, promo 1/RPH. The Hyperia City store kit includes 30 copies for weekly play, handed out at random to participants at two a week across a 12-week season.

How the promo system works more broadly is in Lorcana promo cards explained, and Coco's place among every other film in the game is in every Disney movie in Lorcana.

Quick reference

  • 27 Coco cards in Hyperia City: Ruby 11, Amethyst 9, Amber 7. 18 characters, 4 songs, 4 items, 1 location; 23 inkable.
  • Coco is the largest property in the set (Big Hero 6 is next with 25), and the only one with no card in an earlier main set, by LorcanaJSON's property tags.
  • Seven Coco cards check for 10 or more cards in your discard, all Amethyst or Ruby, and no other Lorcana card uses that wording.
  • Mill sources: Héctor Rivera - Street Musician (1), Rivera Family Photo (2), Though I Have to Say Goodbye (3) and Héctor Rivera - Worldwide Sensation's Big Hit.
  • Everyone Knows Juanita doesn't count itself toward the 10.
  • Song-in-discard cards are yes-or-no checks: Miguel Rivera - Street Musician gets +1 lore however many songs are there.
  • Remember Me lets you play characters from your discard for the turn, free plays included; they enter exerted, one of each name.
  • Ernesto de la Cruz - Ruthless Musician plus Ancestral Guitar can banish any opposing character you can choose; Ward stops it.
  • Ravensburger's Coco deck is Amber/Ruby, 60 cards, 33 of them Coco, built around Singers rather than the discard count.

Card counts and text are from LorcanaJSON's English export of 16 October 2026, checked against Lorcast on 23 October 2026; property tags are LorcanaJSON's own classification. Rulings are from Ravensburger's Hyperia City set release notes. Rule numbers are Comprehensive Rules 2.3: the song, Singer, Sing Together and Ward rules cited are among those the 2.3 release notes list no change for, and their wording is quoted from the official 2.2.0 document.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many Coco cards are in Disney Lorcana?
Disney Lorcana has 27 Coco cards, all in the Hyperia City set (prerelease 16 October 2026, on sale everywhere 23 October 2026): 18 characters, 4 songs, 4 items and 1 location, split Ruby 11, Amethyst 9 and Amber 7. That makes Coco the largest property in Hyperia City, ahead of Big Hero 6 with 25. Nine of the 27 also have Epic or Enchanted printings, and two have promo printings: Héctor Rivera - Gone to Pieces in the D23 2026 Collection and Everyone Knows Juanita as a store weekly play promo.
Which Lorcana cards care about having 10 or more cards in your discard?
Seven Disney Lorcana cards, all of them Coco cards from Hyperia City: Dante - Strange and Endearing and Dante - Loyal Alebrije (extra lore), Pepita - Imelda's Right Hand (+2 Strength and +2 lore), Land of the Dead - Marigold Bridge (+2 lore), Rivera Family Photo (gain 1 lore), The Torn Corner (draw a card) and Everyone Knows Juanita (draw 3 instead of 2). All seven are Amethyst or Ruby, so an Amethyst/Ruby deck is the only ink pair that can play every one of them.
Does Everyone Knows Juanita count itself toward 10 cards in your discard?
No. Ravensburger's Hyperia City set release notes rule that an action is still in play while its ability resolves, so Everyone Knows Juanita is not in your discard when the game checks whether you have 10 or more cards there. You need 10 cards in your discard before you play it to draw 3 instead of 2. It goes to your discard only after it finishes resolving.
How does Remember Me work in Disney Lorcana?
Remember Me is a 6-cost Amber song from Hyperia City with Sing Together 6. After it resolves, for the rest of that turn you may play characters from your discard; they enter play exerted, and you cannot play a character with the same name as one you already played this way that turn. Per Ravensburger's release notes, an effect that lets you play a character for free also works from your discard that turn, but Remember Me does not play anything by itself, so on an opponent's turn it does nothing unless another effect lets you play a character then.
Can Ernesto de la Cruz - Ruthless Musician banish a character without Singer?
Not by himself. Ernesto de la Cruz - Ruthless Musician, a 6-cost Ruby Rare from Hyperia City, may banish a chosen character with Singer when he is played. Ravensburger's own Coco deck article pairs him with Ancestral Guitar: its From the Heart ability (exert, 1 ink) gives a chosen character Singer for the turn, so you can give an opposing character Singer and then banish it with Ernesto, for 7 ink in one turn with the Guitar already in play. A character with Ward cannot be chosen by an opponent's effects, so it is safe from both steps.
What is in Ravensburger's official Coco deck for Disney Lorcana?
Ravensburger's Coco deck, published 15 October 2026 by Brennan DeCandio, is a 60-card Amber/Ruby Core Constructed list, exactly 30 cards of each ink. It plays 33 Hyperia City cards, all of them Coco, including four each of Héctor Rivera - Worldwide Sensation, Héctor Rivera - Street Musician, Miguel Rivera - Street Musician and Pepita - Imelda's Right Hand, plus 17 songs such as Grab Your Bow, Red Moon Ritual and Remember Me, and 18 characters with Singer in their own text. It is built around singing rather than the 10-cards-in-the-discard threshold.
