Naruto Card Game Release Date: June 2027, 3 Starter Decks
Bandai used New York Comic Con to put a month on its NARUTO CARD GAME: June 2027, with three Starter Decks led by Naruto, Sasuke and Gaara and a first booster called "Enter: Naruto Uzumaki!". It also announced in-store demo events from February, a million Demo Decks from spring, and two products you can only buy at those events or selected BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest stops. Here is what was announced, what changed from the July roadmap, and what is still missing.

Bandai has finally put a month on it. NARUTO CARD GAME launches simultaneously worldwide in June 2027, with three Starter Decks led by Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha and Gaara, and a first Booster Pack called "Enter: Naruto Uzumaki!". Bandai announced it at New York Comic Con on Saturday 10 October, the day its NYCC event page had listed the "NARUTO: What's Next?" panel, in a press release timed for 7:00 p.m. ET and a 114-second Special Animated Trailer by Studio Pierrot whose YouTube description reads "scheduled for release June, 2027".
The month is the headline, but it is not the most useful part. The same release puts in-store Premier Demo Events from February 2027, a campaign to hand out 1 million Demo Decks from spring 2027, and two new products, a NARUTO VS. SASUKE playmat and a Premium Card Collection Vol.00 CHAKRA Set, that Bandai will sell only at those demo events and selected BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest stops. Until now, the merchandise on Bandai's NARUTO CARD GAME convention pages was a single item: the Official Playmat -Arriving in 2027-, at $35 plus tax.
Everything below comes from Bandai's press release, the matching article on the official NARUTO site and the trailer's YouTube page, checked against Bandai's own NARUTO CARD GAME site on 11 October. That site has not caught up yet: its homepage still says "Arriving in Summer 2027", and the roadmap on its ABOUT page still ends on a Summer release.
What Bandai announced, in one table
| What | Detail | When |
|---|---|---|
| Worldwide release | Simultaneous, worldwide | June 2027 |

| First Booster Pack | "Enter: Naruto Uzumaki!", with characters from NARUTO and NARUTO SHIPPUDEN | June 2027 |
| Premier Demo Events | At participating TCG stores: Wave 1 at select large-scale BANDAI TCG+ stores, more stores in Wave 2 | From February 2027 |
| Demo Deck campaign | 1 million Demo Decks distributed worldwide | From spring 2027 |
| Official Playmat - NARUTO VS. SASUKE - | Advance release, sold only at Premier Demo Events and select BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 events | Not dated |
| Premium Card Collection Vol.00 - CHAKRA Set | Same sales terms as the playmat | Not dated |
| Next major update | Jump Festa 2027 | 19–20 December 2026 |
There is no price for anything in that table, no card count, and no product code beyond the three ST numbers. The gaps are listed at the end.
Three Starter Decks, and the third Leader is Gaara

Bandai's release says the three decks are pre-constructed, come with "all the cards needed to start playing", and are each "built around a different Leader" with its own lineup and play style. The product image on the official NARUTO site labels them ST01 for Naruto, ST02 for Sasuke and ST03 for Gaara.
Gaara is the new piece. The two Leader cards on Bandai's ABOUT page are a Naruto Uzumaki and a Sasuke Uchiha, both printed with LIFE 15, and we transcribed their text in our NARUTO CARD GAME rules-text breakdown. Bandai has not published a Gaara Leader card, so its text, Life total and colour are unknown. The ST02 art is not the Sasuke on that Leader card either: the starter shows him in an open white robe among snakes, where the Leader card shows him in a pale shirt with lightning around him. Product art is not card text, so do not read a deck's strategy off it.
What "all the cards needed" means in numbers, Bandai did not say. The published deck format is a Leader card, a 51-card deck, 5 Chakra cards and 1 Summon card. Whether a Starter Deck ships at that full size, and whether it includes its own Chakra and Summon cards, is not in the release.
The first booster shares a name with episode 1
"Enter: Naruto Uzumaki!" is the English title of the NARUTO anime's first episode. Bandai's release says the pack features characters from the original NARUTO series and NARUTO SHIPPUDEN, and that new card illustrations were shown for the first time during the NYCC presentation. The game's own description still covers BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS too, but the release does not mention Boruto characters for this first pack.

The official NARUTO site's article places four illustrations under its booster heading: a young Naruto with a shadow clone, a young Sasuke in dark purple chakra, Deidara, and Shikamaru in his flak jacket. That is two Part I looks and two Shippuden ones, which fits the release's description. The article does not say which cards they belong to.
Two naming traps before you go searching:
- The official NARUTO site calls it something else. Its English article, which carries a note that some text is machine-translated, names the pack "Here Comes Naruto Uzumaki!". Bandai's own English press release says "Enter: Naruto Uzumaki!", and that is the name to search for.
- Kayou already sells cards with that title. Kayou's Heaven Scroll Series 1 collectible set has a five-card scene in its R tier titled "Enter: Naruto Uzumaki!", numbered 1/5 to 5/5, per Kayou's US product page. A single card sold under that name, numbered out of 5, is Kayou's collectible, not Bandai's booster. Our Kayou explainer covers that set.
Before June: store demos and a million demo decks
Two things happen before launch.
Premier Demo Events, from February 2027. They run at participating TCG stores, and Bandai pitches them at players including "longtime NARUTO fans who have never played a trading card game". The rollout starts at "select large-scale stores participating in BANDAI TCG+ (Wave 1)", with more stores added in Wave 2. Participating stores, dates and registration are still to be announced. The official NARUTO site's article calls the same thing "NARUTO CARD GAME Advance Trial Events", starting in "early 2027".
1 million Demo Decks, from spring 2027. Bandai describes a global campaign to distribute a total of 1 million Demo Decks so players can learn "the basic flow of the game" at their own pace. The convention tutorials so far have used demo decks that stay on the table, per Bandai's event pages. A campaign that distributes decks for play at your own pace reads like the first chance to take a playable deck home, but Bandai has not published how, where or to whom they are handed out.
For stores, Wave 1 adds a concrete retail detail: the in-store rollout starts with large BANDAI TCG+ stores. Bandai's FOR RETAILERS page still said on 11 October that information on becoming a BANDAI TCG+ store and carrying the game "will be available soon", and our distributor breakdown lists the 16 distributors it names. Bandai's ONE PIECE CARD GAME store page says that, because the products are made in Japan, the order period is set about six months before release. If Naruto follows that, a June 2027 launch puts orders around December 2026. That is arithmetic on another game's page, and Naruto's page carries no such note.
None of this replaces the convention route. Tutorial bookings for SPIEL Essen and Paris Games Week still open on Wednesday 14 October at 6:00 p.m. local time on Weeztix (Bandai's pages print CET, but Germany and France stay on summer time until 25 October, and Bandai's own entry on the Paris Games Week exhibitor list says CEST), and Lucca's at 11:00 a.m. CEST on BANDAI TCG+. Bandai's event pages still gave those times on 11 October. Our Paris Games Week and Lucca guide has the details.
Two products sold only at demo events and fests

Bandai calls both products exclusive. Its release says they will be available only at the Premier Demo Events and at "select BANDAI CARD GAMES FEST 26-27 events", naming the Orlando and London fests. Participating stores, dates, availability and how to buy are all still to be announced.
Official Playmat - NARUTO VS. SASUKE -. This is not the Official Playmat -Arriving in 2027- that Bandai has sold at its convention booths since Gen Con. That one shows Naruto and Sasuke over an orange sweep on white, with the logo reading "Arriving in 2027". The new one is a split painting of Naruto in his black-and-orange Shippuden outfit forming a Rasengan with a shadow clone, facing Sasuke with lightning crackling around his hand. Bandai calls it an "advance-release" playmat and has not priced it.
Premium Card Collection Vol.00 - CHAKRA Set. The pictured package is labelled in Japanese, プレミアムカードコレクション vol.00 -チャクラセット-, and beside it Bandai shows six cards: one Summon Card with Naruto art and five Chakra Cards illustrated with Naruto, Kakashi, Gaara, Sasuke and Sakura. That is five Chakra cards and one Summon card, the same count a deck uses outside its 51 cards. But that is what the image shows, not a published contents list, and every card in it carries a SAMPLE watermark. If the contents match the picture, the set is alternate art for a deck's fixed resource cards, the slot that the CP-001 giveaway card fills with a single Chakra card. Bandai has not said whether these cards will be tournament-legal or how they differ from the Chakra and Summon cards in a Starter Deck.
Of the two fests Bandai names, Orlando runs 7–10 January 2027 and London 15–17 January 2027. On 11 October their NARUTO CARD GAME pages still listed only a "Tutorial Session" and said "Details will be updated in the future." Bandai's "including" leaves room for other fest stops; our BCG Fest teaching-session guide covers all nine stops that have a Naruto page.
What changed from the July roadmap
Bandai's 29 July press release set out a roadmap, and its ABOUT page still shows that version. Here is how the 10 October release moves it:
| 29 July roadmap | 10 October release | |
|---|---|---|
| Release | Summer 2027 | June 2027 |
| Next information beat | "Further information" in December 2026 | Next major update at Jump Festa 2027, which Shueisha holds on 19–20 December 2026 at Makuhari Messe, Chiba |
| In-store play | In-store Tutorial Sessions roll out in January 2027 | Premier Demo Events from February 2027, in two waves |
| Playing at home | Nothing announced; convention demo decks stay on the table | 1 million Demo Decks distributed from spring 2027 |
| Products | None announced | Three Starter Decks and one Booster Pack at launch; a playmat and a CHAKRA Set sold before it |
The in-store row needs care. The October release does not mention January at all, and it does not say the tutorials were moved or renamed. Treat February as the earliest in-store date in Bandai's newest announcement, not as a confirmed one-month delay.
Jump Festa is Shueisha's show, not Bandai's. Entry is free, but by advance application or invitation through the Jump NAVI app, per the Jump Festa 2027 official site.
What Bandai still has not said
- Prices. None for the Starter Decks, the booster, the playmat or the CHAKRA Set.
- Contents. Cards per Starter Deck, cards per booster pack, set size, rarities, and a set code for the booster.
- The day in June, and which regions and languages the simultaneous release covers.
- Premier Demo Events: which stores are in Wave 1, the dates and how to register.
- The Demo Deck campaign: how the decks are handed out, where, and to whom.
- The exclusives: which fest stops beyond Orlando and London sell them, and at what price.
- The rules that have been missing since July: turn structure, how much Chakra you can spend in a turn, and combat resolution. The key visual at the top of this post has a playmat in its background with a column of phase labels, partly cut off, but Bandai has not published the rules behind them. Our rules-text post tracks what Bandai has actually printed.
Bandai says its next major update comes at Jump Festa 2027 in December. Until then, June 2027 is the date, and the ways to play before it are a convention tutorial, a BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest teaching session, a store demo from February, or one of the 1 million Demo Decks Bandai plans to distribute from spring. If you want a Naruto card game on the table this year, that is still Cicaboom's separate NARUTO Mythos TCG, and our explainer on all three Naruto card products sorts out which is which.

Two Naruto TCGs at Paris Games Week and Lucca 2026
Bandai's NARUTO CARD GAME and Cicaboom's NARUTO Mythos TCG have booked the same two European shows. At Paris Games Week they are at booths E8 and E30; at Lucca, in Piazza Santa Maria and the Padiglione Carducci. Bandai's tutorial seats now have to be booked in advance, from Wednesday 14 October, and each of its stops sells its playmat a different way. Cicaboom's booths are about promo cards, including a Lucca demo card printed with two rules terms no published Mythos document defines.

Naruto Card Game Adds Essen, Paris, Lucca Event Pages
Three roadmap stops that carried no event details as of 31 August got real pages on 4 September, and Bandai has rewritten their sign-up terms since. Tutorial seats at Spiel Essen, Paris Games Week and Lucca Comics & Games are now booked in advance from Wednesday 14 October, not on-site on the day. Essen and Paris book through a Weeztix shop and word their playmat rules differently; Lucca books on BANDAI TCG+, hands out the Logo Sticker as a session gift and sells the playmat by time-slot ticket.

Naruto Card Game Distributors: 16 Names, No Order Date
The third item in the NARUTO CARD GAME site's navigation is FOR RETAILERS. It carries a full OFFICIAL DISTRIBUTOR list — 16 companies across North America, Europe, Oceania, Latin America and the Middle East — and then stops. There is no ordering window, no enrollment path, no product to order. Here is the whole list, what the page does not say, and how it lines up against the same page on Bandai's four shipped English-language card games.

Naruto Card Game Teaching Sessions: How to Get a Seat
NARUTO CARD GAME does not go on sale until Summer 2027, and every route Bandai has published to actually playing it is a demo table at an event. Nine BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest stops now carry a Naruto page, and seven of them run a Teaching Session lottery with a CP-001 prize. As of 10 October, Singapore's window closes on the 12th, Kuala Lumpur's on 25 October and Taipei's on 3 November; the other four have shut.

Naruto Card Game Explained: Bandai, Kayou or Mythos?
Search "Naruto cards" and you get three unrelated products stacked on top of each other: a competitive TCG from Bandai that nobody can buy until Summer 2027, a line of Chinese-made collectible cards from Kayou that has been in Walmart since 2025, and a third game — Cicaboom's NARUTO Mythos TCG — that has been on European shelves since March 2026 and is already running sanctioned tournaments. Here is exactly what each one is, what each publisher has actually confirmed, and which one the person asking the question actually wants.

Every NARUTO CARD GAME Giveaway in 2026 Is the Same Card — Here Is What CP-001 Actually Says
The NARUTO CARD GAME does not launch until Summer 2027, but Bandai has already put one card into circulation — CP-001, a Chakra Card, now announced for fourteen separate giveaways: four US and Australian events, three European conventions and seven BCG Fest Teaching Sessions across Asia, each with its own set of conditions. The card also carries the rules line that tells you how Chakra is spent, and its number tells you it is one fifth of a mandatory deck component rather than a chase card.
