Pokopia Litter Guide: All 40 Litter Pokemon and Their Drops

Forty Pokopia Pokemon have the Litter specialty and drop one of 14 materials near their home. Here is every one with its habitat, the drops worth farming (Fluff, iron ore, Twine, squishy clay, honey), and the Gather Pokemon and community box that pick it all up for you.

Human-form Ditto stands on a stone path in Pokemon Pokopia between two fossil skeletons on wooden display stands, with a red-and-white Tyrantrum resting in the grass behind them, small gray stones on the ground, and a Nearby Habitats panel in the corner reading Tyrantrum's home.

Pokopia's own tip for the Litter specialty ends with an odd instruction. Litter Pokemon, it says, "will not drop items while you're watching them," so leave them alone and come back later. That line, from the in-game Tips and Tricks as Bulbapedia transcribes it, is the whole system in miniature: a resident with Litter leaves a material near its home every so often, and your job is to not hover.

Forty Pokemon have Litter on both Serebii's and Bulbapedia's lists, and between them they drop 14 different materials. Some of those, like stone and sturdy sticks, Serebii already lists as natural pickups in all five story areas. One, Fluff, has no natural pickup anywhere on Serebii's item table. This guide lists all 40 with the habitat that brings each one in, sorts out which drops are worth building around, and covers the Gather Pokemon and community box that collect the drops for you.

Counts are as of Ver. 2.0.1, still the latest version on Nintendo's update page as of October 23, 2026.

How Litter works, and why you should look away

Three sources describe the mechanic, and they fit together:

  • The in-game tip, via Bulbapedia: Litter Pokemon sometimes drop useful items near their home, the item depends on the Pokemon, and they will not drop while you are watching.
  • Serebii's Litter Rewards page: as time passes, each Pokemon brings an item, and the higher its comfort level, the more items it brings.
  • Vandal's resource guide: the drops come in random quantities, and the longer you wait, the more they generally produce.

None of them gives a rate. We found no per-day figure on Serebii, Bulbapedia, Vandal or Nintendo Life, so plan around "check back later" rather than a number.

Two practical consequences. First, the in-game tip, Serebii's specialty page and Vandal all tie the drops to the Pokemon's home, and Serebii's comfort page says a Pokemon without a habitat or home sits at a comfort level of zero. Meeting a Litter Pokemon is not the same as farming it; house it. Second, Litter does not follow type. By Bulbapedia's typings, 13 of the 40 are Poison types and 12 are Grass types, against six Rock, five Bug and three Ground. Go by the specialty column, not the type chart. Our specialties guide covers how specialties and followers work in general.

All 40 Litter Pokemon and what they drop

Serebii's Litter Rewards page and Bulbapedia's Litter (specialty) page list the same 40 Pokemon with the same drops: 33 in the base game, two from past events and five from Bubbly Basin. The habitat column comes from each Pokemon's Serebii Pokedex page, with the rarity Serebii gives it there. Where a Pokemon has two habitats, we list the one it is more common at, or both if they tie. Unless a row says otherwise, Serebii lists the Pokemon at that habitat in all five story areas and on Cloud Islands.

The drops worth building a farm for

Half the drop list is material you already walk past. Serebii's item table has stone and sturdy sticks as natural pickups in all five story areas, and leaves, small logs and seashells in several. A Litter Venusaur is a nice bonus, not a reason to build a Garden Terrace. These are the drops where a Litter Pokemon changes how you get the material:

Fluff is the standout. Of the 14 Litter drops, it is the only one whose sole source on Serebii's item table is the PC Shop (black paint also has no natural pickup there, but Serebii lists crushing berries for it), and Bulbapedia's only addition needs the Expansion Pass. Its own item description says Litter Pokemon may scatter it. Bulbapedia's Fluff page counts 47 recipes that use it, and our Team Initiation Challenge guide adds up 13 Fluff for that request alone.

Twine is the quiet partner. Its in-game description says Bug-type Pokemon can produce it, and all four of its Litter Pokemon are Bug types. Since 17 of the Fluff recipes also take Twine, including all 12 rugs and mats, plan the two farms together.

Five farms to build first

Every recipe below is from Serebii's Habitat Dex, and Serebii lists each one's Litter Pokemon as appearing there in all five story areas and on Cloud Islands.

Serebii's Habitat Dex render of Pokopia's Pink tall grass habitat: four tufts of pink tall grass clustered on a teal, flower-dotted hill under a blue sky with white clouds.

What each one takes:

  • Pink tall grass is native to the Sparkling Skylands. Bulbapedia says Leafage grows it on the Skylands' own soft ground, and that it also turns up on the Sky Dream Island. The same four tufts can draw a Fluff Pokemon or a squishy clay one, and Duskull, which Serebii also lists there at night, carries Gather, which matters in a minute. Which Pokemon moves in is the game's call. Building more than one patch is our read, not a published rule.
  • Yellow tall grass is a natural find in Bleak Beach, Bubbly Basin and on the Pikachu Doll Dream Island, per Serebii.
  • Creepy white rocks wants stalagmites, which Serebii lists growing in Rocky Ridges, the Sparkling Skylands and on the Clefairy Doll Dream Island; it gives a photo and 3D print, or Magnet Rise, as the way to take one. Our Magnet Rise guide covers lifting objects whole. The lantern carries a power icon in Serebii's habitat art, and its item description says it lights up when powered; we found no source saying the habitat needs it powered, but our electricity guide covers wiring it if you want it lit. If you would rather skip the stalagmites, Serebii rates Glimmet Common at Container snacking too: a barrel, a wooden crate, a lantern and a plated food.
  • Knitting supplies for Mareep's habitat: Serebii lists one placed in Bleak Beach and sells it in the PC Shop at Bleak Beach Lv. 3 or Cloud Island Lv. 4. Bulbapedia puts the recipe, 1 Twine and 1 Fluff, at 190 Pokedex registrations, so a running Fluff and Twine farm can make more.

Serebii's Habitat Dex render of the Creepy white rocks habitat: a cluster of pale stalagmites, four squares of green moss, and a wooden crate topped by a lantern marked with a yellow lightning-bolt icon, set inside a dim cave.

Garbage is iron ore with one more step

Serebii's specialty page says Recycle turns nonburnable garbage into iron ore, as well as wastepaper into paper, and Bulbapedia's iron ore page lists handing nonburnable garbage to a Recycle Pokemon as a repeatable source. That makes Grimer, Muk, Garbodor and Dhelmise iron farms with a middleman, and Grimer is Common at a Marsh fishing spot (a fishing rod, a seat and muddy water, per Serebii).

Garbodor is the tidy one. Serebii's Pokedex gives it both Recycle and Litter, so it drops the garbage and carries the specialty that converts it. We found no source that says it processes its own drops without you, so do not count on it; hand the garbage over, to it or to any other Recycle Pokemon. Serebii's list of those includes Koffing, Trubbish, Porygon and Cinccino.

A Gather Pokemon and a community box do the pickup

Litter drops still have to be picked up. Gather is the specialty that does it, and four sources describe the pieces:

  • Serebii's specialty page: Gather Pokemon pick up items on the ground and put them in a community box.
  • Bulbapedia's community box page: Gather Pokemon automatically collect items dropped by nearby Litter or Gather Honey Pokemon and put them in the box. The box does not collect dropped berries or crops, and Pokemon with the right specialty can process what is inside; its examples are paint from berries and lumber from small logs.
  • The in-game Gather tip, via Bulbapedia: Gather Pokemon can also carry materials from a community box to wherever they get processed, such as a smelting furnace.
  • Nintendo's Ver. 1.1.0 notes (June 9, 2026): when Pokemon process materials at a community box or furnace, they prioritize the ones closer to their own habitat.

The Pokopia community box item icon: a long, low, open-topped yellow box with a green stripe along its base and a green pouch-shaped emblem on the front.

The community box costs 2 Lumber, and Serebii lists the recipe in the Withered Wasteland PC Shop at Environment Level 4. Nintendo Life's specialties guide makes the same pairing, saying Litter is at its best when the Pokemon lives close to a Gather Pokemon.

Gather is not hard to find. Serebii and Bulbapedia both give it to 24 base-game Pokemon. The Machop line pairs it with Build, which Serebii describes as leading your building projects. Duskull shares the Pink tall grass habitat with Swablu and Trapinch. The Rolycoly line pairs it with Burn, and Cinccino pairs it with Recycle. Gourgeist, from the Halloween event running until November 1, has Hype and Gather on Serebii's event page; our Pumpkaboo event guide covers it.

Our read on layout, not a published rule: put the box between the Litter homes and the Gather Pokemon's home. The drops land near the Litter Pokemon, and the 1.1.0 note says processing favors whatever is closest to a worker's own habitat. Bulbapedia's processing examples are berries and small logs, not garbage, so a fully hands-off garbage-to-iron loop through the box is our inference, not something we found documented.

Comfort sets the output

Serebii's Litter page is explicit: the higher the comfort level, the more items. (Vandal adds that waiting longer generally yields more, which is the other half of "check back later.") Serebii's comfort page lists five levels, Iffy, Average, Nice, Great and Awesome, and the levers that move them: a habitat that matches the Pokemon's ideal environment, giving it the specific item or food it asks for, daily gifts and conversation, and keeping things it dislikes away from its home. A Pokemon in a built house also gains comfort faster than one in a bare habitat, per the same page, and Serebii's favorites page adds that decorating a Pokemon's home or habitat with items matching its favorites raises comfort faster.

Pokopia's Environment Level screen for the Withered Wasteland at Environment Level 9 with 55 residents in total, listing them by comfort tier: 3 at Awesome and 7 at Great, each shown as a small Pokemon icon, and the Nice tier's count of 31 at the bottom edge.

The ideal environment and favorites for the six farm Pokemon above, from their Serebii Pokedex pages:

Where the sources disagree

We checked this against Serebii, Bulbapedia, Nintendo's update notes, Nintendo Life and Vandal. They agree on the mechanic and on every Pokemon-to-drop pairing they both list. They split on these:

  • How many Litter Pokemon. Serebii and Bulbapedia agree on 40. Vandal's resource guide lists 34: the 33 base-game Pokemon plus Jumpluff, with no Jirachi and no Bubbly Basin entries.
  • Whether Fluff can be bought. Vandal says Fluff is exclusive to the Pokemon that drop it. Serebii and Bulbapedia both list it in the PC Shop at Rocky Ridges Lv. 3 and Cloud Island Lv. 4.
  • Stardust. Serebii's item table lists it only on the six Doll Dream Islands, and its in-game description says it is found on Dream Islands. Serebii's own Litter page and Bulbapedia's Stardust page both add Jirachi.
  • The rate. None of the five publishes one.

Quick Action Checklist

  • House your Litter Pokemon. The drops land near their home, and a Pokemon with no home sits at comfort zero.
  • Walk away. The game's own tip says they will not drop while you watch.
  • Build Pink tall grass (4 pink tall grass) for Swablu's Fluff and Trapinch's squishy clay.
  • Build Yellow tall grass (4 yellow tall grass) for Spinarak's Twine; all 12 Fluff rugs and mats need both.
  • Build Creepy white rocks or Container snacking for Glimmet's iron ore.
  • Hand nonburnable garbage to a Recycle Pokemon for more iron ore.
  • Craft a community box (2 Lumber, Withered Wasteland shop at Lv. 4) and house a Gather Pokemon nearby to collect the drops.
  • Raise comfort with the right environment, favorites and daily gifts; higher comfort means more drops.
  • Expansion Pass owners: Seadra drops black paint, and Shellder and Cloyster drop seashells.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the Litter specialty do in Pokemon Pokopia?
In Pokemon Pokopia, a Pokemon with the Litter specialty drops a material near its home over time, and the material depends on the Pokemon. The in-game tip says Litter Pokemon will not drop items while you are watching them, and Serebii says a higher comfort level means more items. Serebii, Bulbapedia, Nintendo Life and Vandal publish no drop rate.
Which Pokemon have the Litter specialty in Pokopia?
Serebii and Bulbapedia both list 40 Litter Pokemon in Pokemon Pokopia: 33 in the base game (Venusaur, Vileplume, Bellsprout, Weepinbell, Tangela, Tangrowth, Cacturne, Combee, Haxorus, Grimer, Muk, Blissey, Spinarak, Ariados, Mareep, Flaaffy, Paldean Wooper, Clodsire, Garbodor, Larvesta, Volcarona, Glimmet, Glimmora, Trapinch, Swablu, Altaria, Snivy, Servine, Serperior, Rampardos, Bastiodon, Tyrantrum and Aurorus), the event Pokemon Jumpluff and Jirachi, and the Bubbly Basin Pokemon Shellder, Cloyster, Seadra, Kingdra and Dhelmise.
How do you get Fluff in Pokemon Pokopia?
Pokemon Pokopia Fluff comes from five Litter Pokemon: Mareep, Flaaffy, Swablu, Altaria and the event Pokemon Jumpluff. Serebii lists no natural pickup for it, only the PC Shop once Rocky Ridges reaches Environment Level 3 or a Cloud Island reaches Level 4, and Bulbapedia adds breaking worn treasure chests with the Expansion Pass. Swablu is Common at the Pink tall grass habitat, which is four pink tall grass.
How do you farm iron ore with Pokemon in Pokopia?
In Pokemon Pokopia, Glimmet and Glimmora have the Litter specialty and drop iron ore near their home. Glimmet is Common at the Creepy white rocks habitat (stalagmites, four moss, a wooden crate and a lantern) and at Container snacking. A Pokemon with the Recycle specialty also turns nonburnable garbage into iron ore, and Grimer, Muk, Garbodor and Dhelmise drop that garbage through Litter.
What does the community box do in Pokemon Pokopia?
The Pokemon Pokopia community box is where Pokemon with the Gather specialty put items they pick up, including drops from nearby Litter Pokemon, according to Serebii and Bulbapedia. It does not collect dropped berries or crops. Pokemon with the right specialty can process items inside it, such as berries into paint. It costs 2 Lumber, with the recipe in the Withered Wasteland PC Shop at Environment Level 4.
Why are my Litter Pokemon not dropping anything in Pokopia?
Pokemon Pokopia Litter Pokemon drop items near their home, will not drop while you are watching, and drop more at a higher comfort level. Make sure the Pokemon has a habitat or home, since Serebii says a Pokemon without one sits at comfort zero, then leave the area and check back later. Matching its ideal environment and favorites raises comfort.
