Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 Battle Pass: Skins and Levels

Our Fortnite Crew guide already did the economics on the Override Battle Pass: 800 V-Bucks to buy, 800 V-Bucks back if you finished it, break-even since the Chapter 7 Season 2 repricing. What it doesn't do — because that's not its job — is tell you what you're actually unlocking. This is that list.

This guide covers the previous season. Fortnite changed season on November 1, 2026 with update v43.00, Treasure Hunters, and Epic's own page listed the Override pass as ending November 1, 2026 Eastern Time. The Chapter 7 Season 4: Override Battle Pass went live with update v42.00 on August 20, 2026. Its full reward track is transcluded onto the Fortnite Wiki's Chapter 7: Season 4 page from a dedicated Battle Pass sub-page, which lists every reward, in order, by character and page. Eight character sets, sixteen pages, and — as the arithmetic below shows — totals that square with the wiki's 99-reward buy-out line and match Epic's 800 V-Bucks figure exactly.

The eight skins and when they unlock

Every set gets a named skin. Seven of the eight sets carry a "Reach level X to unlock this set" line in the wiki's Battle Pass table. Sonic's carries none, because the wiki says the Sonic outfit is obtained immediately after purchasing the pass, which puts it at the top of the track rather than gated behind a level.

Sonic is the outlier twice over. It's the only skin at a rarity other than Epic — the wiki files it under a "Gaming Legends Series" label instead — and its page-2 style is a transformation rather than a recolor: Super Sonic is a selectable style on the Sonic skin itself, not a separate reward, and it comes with its own built-in "Go Super Sonic" emote. It isn't the pass's only style with a built-in emote, though — Geno's page-2 Ageless Geno style ships with one too (Shapeless Shift), it's just not framed as a transformation the way Super Sonic is.

The level curve itself is worth noticing: 10, 10, 35, 35, 60, 60, 85. The wiki lists the sets in pairs at three of those gates, so seven level-gated sets share just four distinct gates. The level-10 pair is a pick rather than a double unlock: Epic's launch-day in-game news, as recorded on the Fortnite Wiki's Phantom page, told players to "Choose Between Wrixel or Phantom", the Passes tab reads "Choose a Set to Unlock at LVL 10", and the wiki's Battle Pass page says the set you don't pick has its level requirement increased.

What each two-page set actually contains

Every character's rewards split across two pages — the second page always includes a Skin Style (a recolor or variant of the base outfit), and a 100 V-Bucks reward lands on one of the two pages for every set, with two exceptions where it's the first page rather than the second. Counting the rewards in the wiki's Battle Pass table directly:

That's 100 rewards across the sixteen pages, every item counted once. Sonic and Geno are the only two sets with seven items on each page; everyone else runs 6 and 6. The wiki's table also shows quest tiles beside the level rewards (Build-A-Wrixel quests on both of Wrixel's pages, and two story-quest Geno styles), and Epic's Battle Pass page says the special Styles require completing Quests, so those aren't counted here. Wrixel and Geno are the two sets whose V-Bucks reward sits on page 1 instead of page 2 — every set still gets exactly one 100 V-Bucks reward somewhere in its two pages, Wrixel included.

The V-Bucks add up to exactly the price

Here's where the Crew guide's number gets its receipts. It states the completed pass "returns a total of 800 V-Bucks" without breaking down where that comes from. Add up every V-Bucks reward listed on the Battle Pass page and the source is obvious: each of the eight character sets pays out exactly one 100 V-Bucks reward, on Sonic, Wrixel, Phantom, Mali, Bastian, K1ttyW1ns, Grace Crowne and Geno alike. Eight sets, 100 V-Bucks each, 800 total — matching the pass's own 800 V-Bucks purchase price to the dollar, and confirming the Crew guide's break-even claim rather than contradicting it.

It's an even split by design, not a coincidence worth reading into further: every set pays the same 100 V-Bucks regardless of its unlock level, so a level-10 set returns exactly as much as the level-85 one.

Bonus Rewards: five sets get a second tier

Five of the eight characters carry a separate "Bonus Rewards" table beyond their two main pages — Mali, Grace Crowne, Bastian, K1ttyW1ns and Phantom. Sonic, Wrixel and Geno do not.

Each Bonus Rewards set opens with a seven-item page that ends in a third Skin Style — Gloomwarden Grove Mali, Serpentine Operative Grace Crowne, Sandseeker Bastian, Alpine Ice K1ttyW1ns, and Chaos Agent pHANTOM — and the wiki lists that page as unlocking once you've claimed all of Geno's rewards. A second bonus page then adds three more styles per set (Decrypted, Override and Mainframe), unlocked by claiming the rest of that set's bonus rewards. That's a third recolor and three more on top of the base skin and the page-2 style, for those five sets only. Whether that split tracks anything about rarity or level gate isn't stated on the wiki page — Mali and Bastian (level 35), K1ttyW1ns and Grace Crowne (level 60) and Phantom (level 10) all get one, while Sonic (ungated), Wrixel (level 10) and Geno (level 85) don't, so it doesn't cleanly follow the level curve either.

Skipping the grind for V-Bucks

The main Chapter 7: Season 4 page states the mechanic plainly: each Battle Pass level costs 80,000 XP, or a player can skip the grind and claim up to 99 rewards individually for 150 V-Bucks each. That "99" isn't a round marketing number. The sixteen main pages counted above hold 100 rewards, and one of them is the Sonic outfit, which the wiki says you get immediately on buying the pass; that leaves 99. Buy out all 99 at 150 V-Bucks each and the full price is 14,850 V-Bucks, nowhere near a rational way to finish the pass; where it helps is when you're a few rewards short at season's end and would rather close the gap on specific items than grind a full level for one piece.

The five Bonus Rewards tables and the launch-week and gift bonus sets below aren't part of that 99-item pool — nothing in Epic's text or the wiki page says they're individually purchasable, so treat the buy-out option as covering the sixteen main pages only.

The launch-week and gift bonuses

Two more reward sets sit outside the level track entirely, both tied to a purchase rather than XP. Epic's season announcement describes each one as an Outfit "and accessories", and the Fortnite Wiki's Battle Pass page lists four styles in each set:

The early-purchase window closed at 11:59 PM ET on August 27, 2026, so that set was a launch-week-only reward.

Epic never put an end date on the gift bonus, and its gifting support page warned that "Pass gifting will be turned off towards the end of the season". The pass was listed in game as "Available through OCT 31 2026", while Epic's Battle Pass page said it "Ends November 1, 2026 Eastern Time". Two more of Epic's gifting rules applied throughout: the friend had to have been on your Friends list for at least 2 days, and the gift was a real-money purchase, since Epic says the in-game gift voucher cannot be obtained with V-Bucks. Was the Override pass worth buying

That's the full content list, so the verdict comes down to what our Crew guide already established. The pass cost 800 V-Bucks and returned 800 V-Bucks if you finished it (confirmed, item by item, above). The in-game Passes tab listed it as available through October 31, 2026, and Epic's Battle Pass page said it ended November 1, 2026 Eastern Time; the Treasure Hunters season began that day. Epic's support page said a pass bought after you'd leveled up still unlocked "the rewards corresponding to your current level."

A pass bought outright stayed claimable until the pass ended. A Crew-granted copy worked differently: on a subscription dating from December 1, 2024 or later, cancelling stops new premium unlocks and claims at the end of the current billing period, although Epic's Crew FAQ says items you had already unlocked but not yet claimed are auto-claimed for you at the end of the season. Had Sonic and the ungated Page 1 rewards been the only pull, that was an even trade before unlocking anything else. Getting all eight sets, including the three that stop at their second page, meant the flat 80,000 XP per level from Wrixel and Phantom's level-10 gate up to Geno's level 85, and neither Epic's notes nor the wiki published a season-length pace target.
