Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 POIs and Chest Counts
Three named locations went in the bin when Override launched, and three video-game-themed ones took their slots. Here is the full current roster of the Shattered Coast, plus the chest, ammo box and Reboot Van numbers the Fortnite Wiki has on record for the ten that survived — and an honest note about which four have no numbers at all.

Our landing spots guide makes a point of refusing to name locations, on the grounds that POI names expire and the framework does not. That is still the right call — but the framework asks you to weigh loot density, and it does not hand you a loot-density number. This post is the number.
Chapter 7 Season 4: Override went live in update v42.00 on August 20, 2026, and it did not just redecorate the Shattered Coast. Three named locations were taken off the map and three took their slots. Here is the current roster, what the wiki has on record for each one's loot, and which entries have no record at all.
The three POIs Epic replaced
Epic's own v42.00 update notes introduce the new locations in a single line — "Uncover the secrets of the ancient Stone Sanctum, keep your speed up through Green Hill Zone loops and explore Reality's Reign" — and do not mention any location being removed. The removals are documented on the Fortnite Wiki instead, where all three departing POIs now carry a removed = Update v42.00 field and a matching line in their own version history. Elite Esports' Override map breakdown also lists all three among the names that left.
| Gone in v42.00 | Replaced by | Theme |
|---|---|---|
| Calamari Canyon | Green Hill Zone | Sonic the Hedgehog |
| Sinister Strip | Stone Sanctum | Ancient temple complex |
| Frosted Flats | Reality's Reign | Machinery and PC internals |
That leaves 13 named locations on the live island: ten carried over from Season 3 plus the three above. That number is a derivation, not a figure the wiki publishes — take the wiki's 13-entry Season 3 named-location roster, subtract the three pages that now carry a v42.00 removal, add the three pages that carry a v42.00 release. Count landmarks and unnamed anchors instead of named locations and you get a much bigger number; this post is only about named locations.
Worth knowing if you go looking: the Fortnite Wiki's own Shattered Coast hub page and its site-wide location navbox have not been updated for Season 4. Both still list Calamari Canyon, Sinister Strip and Frosted Flats as current, and neither lists the three new POIs. Several surviving POI pages still describe removed locations as their neighbours. The per-location pages are ahead of the index pages, which is the opposite of what you would expect.
Every named location on the Override map
Chest, ammo box, vending machine and Reboot Van counts below are the figures recorded on each location's own Fortnite Wiki page. Read the caveat before you use them. Those infobox fields carry no date of their own, so nothing on the page tells you which build a given number was counted against. What is checkable is the version history underneath: not one of the ten carry-over pages has been given a Season 4 section, and nine of the ten stop at Update v41.30 on July 30, 2026 — three weeks before Override shipped. Chopped Shop's history stops at v41.00. Treat these as last-known-good, not as re-counted for Override.
They also drift within a season. Golden Grove's own history records "removed the hidden chest under the big tree" in v41.10 on June 25, 2026, which is exactly the kind of edit that moves a total by one without anyone revisiting the infobox.
| Named location | Chests | Ammo boxes | Vending machines | Reboot Vans | Added |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| The Battlewoods | 81 | 42 | 3 | 2 | v41.00 |
| Lifty Lodge | 60 | 40 | 6 | 2 | v41.00 |
| Shaken Sanctuary | 53 | 30 | 3 | 1 | v41.00 |
| Golden Grove | 51 | 38 | 3 | 1 | v41.00 |
| Heatwave Harbor | 37 | 36 | 3 | 1 | v41.00 |
| Sunken Shores | 36 | 21 | 3 | 1 | v41.00 |
| WonkeeLand | 34 | 31 | 3 | 1 | v41.00 |
| Latte Landing | 31 | 36 | 3 | 1 | v41.00 |
| Cluster Coast | 27 | 35 | 3 | 1 | v41.00 |
| Chopped Shop | Not published | Not published | Not published | Not published | v41.00 |
| Green Hill Zone | Not published | Not published | Not published | Not published | v42.00 |
| Reality's Reign | Not published | Not published | Not published | Not published | v42.00 |
| Stone Sanctum | Not published | Not published | Not published | Not published | v42.00 |
| Nine POIs with counts | 410 | 309 | 30 | 11 |
Those totals are the sum of the nine rows above them; add the column yourself if you like, that is the point of printing it.
What the chest counts actually tell you

Three things fall straight out of that table, and all three are read off the nine POIs that have published numbers — not asserted about the map as a whole.
The spread is enormous. The Battlewoods records 81 chests; Cluster Coast records 27. That is a factor of three between the top and bottom of the same table. A "named location" is not a unit of loot: five of the nine — Heatwave Harbor, Sunken Shores, WonkeeLand, Latte Landing and Cluster Coast — record fewer than half of what The Battlewoods does.
Ammo boxes do not track chests. Two of the nine — Cluster Coast (27 chests, 35 ammo boxes) and Latte Landing (31 and 36) — record more ammo boxes than chests. Sunken Shores is the opposite shape at 36 chests to 21 ammo boxes, the thinnest ammo-box count of the nine. If you are dropping somewhere ammo-light, the loadout priority order shifts: grab the ammo you can actually feed rather than the third gun.
Lifty Lodge is the vending-machine outlier. Six machines against three at every other POI with a published figure, and it carries the joint-highest Reboot Van count. That is a lot of guaranteed, non-random inventory in one place for a POI that is not the biggest on the map.
Inside the three new locations

Green Hill Zone took Calamari Canyon's ground; its listed neighbours are Chopped Shop, Heatwave Harbor and Stone Sanctum. It is built as a large grassy biome modelled on the first level of Sonic the Hedgehog, with boost pads through it. Dr. Eggman spawns here as a boss as of v42.00.

Stone Sanctum took Sinister Strip's slot and is a weathered temple complex with a maze behind the main structure. Its page — still flagged under construction, so hold this loosely — describes a vault puzzle: blue particle effects around the temple reveal a chalice when you approach, shooting a chalice drops a Temple Vault Key, and two keys placed into slots at the central fountain open a hidden vault holding three Mythic chests and several Slurp Barrels. Epic's update notes gesture at this without detail, saying only to "uncover the secrets" of the place. If you want the wider context on what Mythic loot is worth chasing, that is in the Mythic weapons guide.

Reality's Reign replaced Frosted Flats and, per the wiki, stands at the centre of the island on ground the Zero Point used to occupy. It is a fortress of pipes and machinery styled after the internals of a PC, with Imagined Order Hush spawning there as a boss. Its listed neighbours are Stone Sanctum and The Battlewoods.
None of the three has a chest count on record yet.
Where the Reboot Vans are
Nine POIs have a Reboot Van recorded, for eleven vans total across them. The Battlewoods and Lifty Lodge carry two each; Shaken Sanctuary, Golden Grove, Heatwave Harbor, Sunken Shores, WonkeeLand, Latte Landing and Cluster Coast carry one each. Chopped Shop and the three new POIs have no vehicle data published at all, which is not the same as having no van — it means nobody has written the number down.
That distribution matters most in duos and trios, where the distance between where your teammate died and the nearest van is the whole decision. Two vans in one POI is a meaningfully different proposition from one, because losing the fight next to the first van does not necessarily cost you the reboot.
The four POIs with no published loot data
Four of the thirteen have nothing: Chopped Shop, Green Hill Zone, Reality's Reign and Stone Sanctum.
Three of those are explicable — they are ten days old at the time of writing and their pages are still marked stub or under construction. Chopped Shop is the odd one. It has been on the map since June 6, 2026, its wiki page was created four days later, and it still carries no chest count, no ammo box count and no vehicle list. It is a garage with a small racetrack next to it, neighbouring The Battlewoods and Lifty Lodge, and that is genuinely as much as the wiki says.
The honest handling here is to say so rather than to estimate. A guessed chest count reads exactly like a counted one, and there is no way for you to tell them apart on the page.
What changed at the POIs that stayed
The ten carry-overs kept their names, but the wiki's Season 4 map-change log records cosmetic and structural work at several of them:
- Sunken Shores was partially overtaken by a Tetris invasion, with fallen tetromino blocks obstructing roads and damaging structures.
- Heatwave Harbor gained a small island shaped like a Pac-Man ghost, with a playable Pac-Man arcade machine on it.
- A small Pac-Man-themed island appeared near Latte Landing.
- The same log records a hidden Pac-Man-ghost-shaped island at "Cluster" — but it links the character page of that name, not Cluster Coast. A character cannot contain an island, so this is probably a wiki slip for the POI. Probably is not the same as confirmed, so treat that one as unplaced.
Structural changes to a POI can move where chests sit even when the count holds, which is the second reason to treat these numbers as a starting point rather than a survey. The first reason is that nobody has re-counted them.
How to use these numbers on the bus
The table is an input to the drop decision, not the decision. Loot density is one of three axes in the landing framework, and the other two — contest and rotation — are not things a wiki can record for you, because they depend on the bus path and the first circle in your match.
What the numbers do buy you:
- Calibrate solo vs squad drops. 27 chests split four ways is a very different landing from 81. Match the POI to your headcount before you match it to your taste.
- Know when the ammo is the constraint. At Sunken Shores' recorded 36-to-21 ratio, the limiting factor after a hot landing is more likely to be ammo than guns.
- Plan the reboot before you need it. Two vans at The Battlewoods and Lifty Lodge; one at seven others; unknown at four.
- Treat the three new POIs as unmeasured. Not empty, not stacked — unmeasured. Drop there to find out, not because a guide told you the loot was good.
- Re-check after the next patch. This roster is ten days old, and the Fortnite Wiki has the season running to October 31, 2026. Epic never announced the last set of removals: Calamari Canyon and Frosted Flats do not appear anywhere in the v42.00 notes, and Sinister Strip appears exactly once, in an unrelated bug-fix line about water textures. "The notes did not mention it" is not evidence a POI is still there.
If you want the rest of what v42.00 shipped — the Admin Panel, Loot Hacks, the Cheat Codes hidden around these same POIs and the Match Override consoles — that is the Override systems breakdown.
